Superman. Batman is just a regular guy with no super powers. He isn't really even a super-hero in the strictest sense, whereas Superman is among the most powerful truly super-powered beings. Now, it is true that Batman could use kryptonite, but Superman could just stop the earth's rotation, which according to the Movie would stop time (since rotating the earth backwards reverses time...its logical that stopping the rotation woudl stop time) and kill Batman while he was frozen in time. Batman is still my favorite of the two, but let's be real here. :D

As the person who compiled the NATO Fighters mod, I can offer a couple of suggestions on this matter. 1. The reason I did NF was because there are a lot of people out there--a lot more than you think--who are a little less savvy to modding the game, and I wanted to give them the opportunity to easily install some of the best mods produced for the game. In that respect the pack was an outstanding success, with over 4600 downloads of the original pack as of this morning. Its not for people who like to install their own mods and mess around with the game files. 2. In my opinion, the success of such an effort requires tight focus. You have to choose only mods of the higest quality and tightly integrate them into the campaings. It can't just be a hodgepodge of everything ever released. In NF for example, all the new aircraft are high-quality with skins accurate to the campaings they are integrated into. A subset of weapons was added for these aircraft, but the entire weapons pack was not inatalled due to its large size and some inconsistencies within. You also have to keep an eye on maintianing a resonable download size, which is why NATO Fighters is being released in installments. 3. The pack needs to be assembled by one person according to his own vision. No commitees or team decisions. Otherwise, you can kiss the goals in point #2 goodbye, because everyone will want something different. That said, I would really like to see a pack like NATO Fighters for First Eagles. I would personally use it. I spend so much time working on the jet games that I don't get to do much with FE, so a quick and easy installer to add some high-quality mods would be most welcome.

Forum traffic is down a bit so the sim is dead? These guys have no sense that their sim is but a small cog in the ThirdWire machine. What I mean by that is that First Eagles will be affected by the same trends as all of the other sims in it's family. For five years now we've seen that the enthusiasm for these sims ebbs and flows as new patches, mods and new games are released. These guys don't know what a drought is like--some of us lived through the 1-year dust bowl between Strike Fighters patch 1 and patch 2. That was some real Grapes of Wrath s**t, with every other post on SimHQ being some negative crap about how the sim was dead and lomac was going to rock the world.

Hopefully a team will get together and start putting out high-def models for First Eagles. I've seen a couple of really nice new planes for the game, but a lot (most?) are retreads from other sims.

If I have the story right, there was a cadre of very vocal whiners who made a big stink about the flight models of the German aircraft in IL2 being substandard. I believe they claimed that Oleg Maddox, being Russion, had puposefully given the German aircraft poorer performance that the Russian aircraft.
