Grumman’s F-14 Tomcat could be described as the Marilyn Monroe of aircraft designs. Both were at once beautiful and flawed, with indelible public images and yet often misunderstood and misrepresented. Both also met untimely ends. For many, the aircraft will always be remembered as the star of the hit 1986 movie Top Gun, but the Tomcat was a real weapon on the front lines of the Cold War, personifying the technological prowess and advanced production methods that the Soviet Union could not match, and which eventually drove them to break their economy in the attempt to keep up. For me personally, it will always be associated with the three years my family lived in Virginia Beach, near NAS Oceana, in the early 1980s. I vividly remember all of the jets that used to fly over our house—Skyhawks, Intruders, Phantoms and especially Tomcats. With their twin tails and swing-wings they had to be the coolest things in the air, and in retrospect I believe they really were. --c5 This aircraft is dedicated to our departed friend and Cheif of Production, Oli. Please see the included PDF for information on the cockpit, including some known issues that will be addressed in a future update. Model: Flying Toaster, BPAo Skins and Flight Model: column5 Cockpit: Chris Avionics: MoonJumper Pilots: Diego Extra Hangar and Loading Screens: USAFMTL Testing: The Mirage Factory Please contact one of the above people at CombatAce if you would like to use this mod in a freeware project. This mod may not be used as part of any payware project. -

Below is shot showing the Balkans/Adriatic Sea map that I am working on. I've been following gepard's tutorials which have made things fairly easy to this point. I have all of the Italian cities placed, and all of the cities in southern Greece. The purpose is to make a Southern front for NATO Fighters, with the Soviet/WP invasion of Greece and Italy through Yugoslavia. Finally some carrier ops in NF! Anyway, I could use some advice on exactly how to proceed. Assuming I get all of my cities placed while remaining sane, what is the best way to tackle the following issues? 1. As you can see, this map is a nightmare of little islands and coastline that quickly transitions to relatively steep slopes and high elevations. How do I handle this? 2. I have not yet adjusted sea level. What exactly does this function do and exactly when in the process should I execute it? 3. Transition tiles have not been added yet, but when I test the function I get some strange results especially around the many coastal cities. Is there a way to tune the TE to perform this function better, or is it just going to require a lot of manual tile tuning after applying the transition tiles? Thanks!

I use WordPress (hosted on the CA server) and like it very much. There are a ton of options to play with and a whole range of themes avaialble to customize the appearance. WordPress.com is their hosted solution, which I have not used but would give you a WordPress blog without the hassle of running a server or dealing with a hosting company, which, as Major Lee said, are all crap.

Strike Fighters : Android Edition

For a certain definition of "actively," that is true. But the past few patches and DLC have been nothing to write home about. Only time will tell. -

Damn shame to see this so soon after the face-eating cannibal incident, but there is more LSD-induced madness breaking out: http://sports.nationalpost.com/2010/05/19/gallery-horrific-olympic-mascots-wenlock-and-mandeville/
