  1. F-102...

Well, its wasn't meant to bum you out. I think its still a challenge to employ those missiles successfully, but in real life they just weren't very good, which (among other reasons) is why the Sidewinder and Sparrow continued to be developed and the Falcon did not. (Unless you count the Phoenix, which benefited from Hughes' experience with the Falcon and Super Falcon.) A major problem was the lack of a proximity fuse--to get a kill with the Falcon, you had to score a direct hit. The Sidewinder's expanding-rod warhead and proximity fuse made it much more lethal.
  2. F-102...

Just keep in mind that I set the AIM-4F and G up with better than real-life performance for the sake of game play.
  3. F-102...

The version in NF4 is Pre FC R3mix3d but will likely be updated in the future.
  4. PS3 vs XBOX 360

    PS3 ++
  5. Greek airfields are placed. I have seven more WP airbases to place and then I can move on to the next step.
  6. Happy Birthday Zur

  7. No system open to the public is completely safe, but CA has the advantage of having a tech-savvy owner (MK2) and an excellent, dedicated system administrator (Erik), so you can rest assured that all reasonable precautions are being taken.
  8. Also make sure DirectX is up to date.
  9. Here is what I've done so far. The pic below is actually a little out of date because I've added the Yugoslav air bases last night. I need to remove a few cities that are very close to the wall on the East side of the map, and reduce the number of Greek cities to help preserve my sanity.
  10. All of the games support TIR out of the box. No need to do any re-installation or modding to make it work. You will love the TIR.
  11. Thanks guys! Brain32, that did the trick! Thanks for the help--I don;t think I would have figured that out on my own. Now my cities should be flattened out. I'll inspect that in game and once its OK, go ahead and apply transitions and start laying rivers...
  12. So...... The question of the day is, once you've exported the height map to BMP and edited it PS, how do you save it to make it compatible with the terrain editor? Just saving it as a 24-bit bmp does not work. If I convert it back to Indexed Color and save it, the TE will sort of work with it, but a lot of information seems to be lost. Very strange.
  13. No, thats not the plan. SF2/VEI is the platform of the future.
  14. Go Atlantis !

The UK was on the verge of throwing its support behind the Confederacy until Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Since England had outlawed slavery long before, it became politically impossible for them to support the pro-slavery side in the conflict. Let's all be glad it turned out that way!
  15. Go Atlantis !

Yep, I always have to stop and watch it on TV when I can...always impressive. Hopefully this will all go well and be a final feather in the shuttle program's cap before they are retired next year.
  16. Hey

w00t! Good to see you! (Finally someone with a member number lower than mine!!!)
  17. Excellent point! Make sure that the installers are pointing to the correct folder for your NF install!
  18. OK, I'll do a clean install and check on this as soon as I can. Probably tomorrow. ;)
  19. Might try copying just the Su-17 (or Su-17M3, depending on which one is giving trouble) folder form the download into your aircraft folder...
