  1. Yes, those are being worked on. No ETA though.
  2. F-22 RWR

Cool! In theory, that should make your radar cross section 5% of a normal aircraft the same size as the F-22, which is probably accurate.
  3. F-22 RWR

Let us know how it works. I haven't played around with RCS much (haven't worked on many stealthy planes).
  4. F-22 RWR

    Data file. No prob!
  5. F-22 RWR

BaseRCSModifier IIRC. I think its set way too low, something like -0.000001 which makes it invisible rather than stealthy. Try -0.1 or -0.05.
  6. F/A-18F model up for grabs

This thread is 10 months old.
  7. Couple of minor things: 1. I put the plane in level flight and chopped throttle to idle. It lost speed at an extremely slow rate. Maybe 1 knot every 5-10 seconds. A plane like the F-84 should decelerate and drop like a brick with no power. 2. The stall values on the wings are so high that it never stalls. I plan on fixing these issues for myself this weekend, I'll post the results. That aside, I am really liking it. Can't wait for more from GMG.
  8. Its a Samsung 225BW, and yes it is actually 22". Make sure you set the aspect ratio in the game's options to 16:10.
  9. I myself have the entire three-day weekend to...uhm...myself! Picked up a copy of Europa Universalis: Rome and season 2 of Dogfights this afternoon. I have a full supply of beer, and will cook up a pot of Cincinatti chili tomorrow evening for my culinary delight. Then...72 hours of hedonistic laziness!
  10. I play at 1680x1050 on a 21" LCD. Its great!
  11. Impossible scenario. A skilled Foxbat pilot wouldn't engage under those circumstances.
  12. No, its definately not the fastest plane at any altitude, but it was not designed to be. If you take it up to 40,000 feet or higher, you should find it to perform much better, because that is the arena it was designed to operate in. Check that link I posted above, there are some good insights into the Foxbat in it.
  13. Heed Jug, for he has experience! Although the MiG-25 should be outclassed at low speed and low altitude against contemporary Western fighters, it still has teeth and could teach a complacent pilot a lesson.
  14. In real life the Phoenix has two or three guidance modes, but in general they are semi-active until the terminal phase, when they switch to an active homing mode.
  15. The MiG-25 won't perform at such low level. You'll get eaten up.
  16. Looking through some aircraft and weapons recently it occurred to me that certain community-configured ECM systems have their effectiveness set way too high. So I took a look at the values TK has assigned to the stock aircraft and pods, and extrapolated out a progression of ECM development in game terms that I think is well-balanced. Right now I have only looked at US systems, but my research indicates that both European and Soviet ECM development was slightly to moderately behind that of the US (I would rate European and Soviet systems produced before 1990 as 5 to 10 points below contemporary US systems, with the gap closing between 1991 and 2000). Here is what I came up with...I'd be very interested to know what others think about this. In general, internal systems for large aircraft such as the B-52 were more effective than the earliest pods and systems for tactical aircraft, mainly due to there being more space in the airframe and power available. I also have the ALQ-99 system for the EA-6B, EF-111 and EF-18G being a bit better than other contemporary systems due to their specialized nature.
  17. This is a beautiful model. Congrats guys! Only nitpick is that the flight model needs a little work (as does our old MF F-84F flight model, lol).
  18. Happy Birthday Fubar512

Isn't he the last surviving veteran of the Crimean War?

  20. What altitude did all this happen at?
