  7. Well, that seems to have been the plan...I guess they were striking so deep into the Sov Union that there was no chance of making it back to the carrier, and the carrier probably wouldn't be there anyway.

    I think that in carrier aviation the safe landing weight for a given aircraft is much lower than on a land base, so they were (and possibly still are) limited in the amount of unused ordinace they can bring back. Typhoid could probably address this with authority.

  18. Stuff from the 1920s and 1930s. There is a whole line of British fighters that are rarely--if ever--modeled in sims, at least not good quality. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Brit...craft_1920-1929 Also the F-14. It should be modeled over and over again in every sim.

  21. Thanks, Flying Toaster and bpao have done wonderful work on the model. Its a difficult shape to get right but I think they have nailed it pretty darn well.
  22. Well, I know that there hasn't been a lot of news coming from the Factory lately but as said a lot of things are being worked on, with a few getting very close to completion. To whet your appetite a bit further, this one is not far away at all.
  23. There were a ton of great shots in May but that one stuck out for its nice composition, moody weather and lighting, and classic subject matter.
