  1. Ye-152 MOD

See if this works, Position for Su-11, Offset for F-104 cockpit inside B-47 external model. Tweak to taste. Show screenshot. Overall, the full MirFac's -21PF pit may be better, or maybe Ordway's MiG-19 pitmod of...wait what did...he used A-4 for that right? I forgot, I'm staying with F-86Dora cockpit sovietized for MiG-19. Yea, look at the big thread, B-47 is on page...I forgot. After the first two pages, its all more or less in chronological order. Maybe start roundabout page 12. You know, F-104 cockpit canopy can be completely removed, and this would match the 152 frameless racing canopy. I'm thinking a production version might have something more robust however, at least -21PF style forward frames at a minimumnumnum. Another thought: Ordway has MiG-19ized the A-4E pit with radar, and that pit's canopy frames can be removed, or partially removed leaving forward frames. Lots of options here.
  3. Ye-152 MOD

Modelwise, it would work fairly well -- Su-11 has nice 3D interior. See link below. However, the Mirage Factory MiG-21 pit is in French and has no OUT file so I never got round to stargetting this series of pits...mainly because they work so well and the MiG-21 external models (Thudwire at least, I use them) have very low poly pilot compartments. I prefer the full MF cockpits with the MiG-21 series. Stargetic Su-9, Su-11, and Su-15 on this page ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...a&start=160 Big Problem: The Su-11 canopy framing is NO MATCH for 152 series canopy framing (or total lack of it). Mirage Factory PF pit is the closest fit here -- almost frameless (really, look at MiG-21PF with MirFac's cockpit).
  4. Ye-152 MOD

PF pit gives closest opening/closing canopy match. Remember, this series was made about the same time PF was made, and well before the later MiG-21S and so on with their green cockpits. For the younguns ... grande French website having info on 150 to 152 series...use BabelFish to translate complete webpage. I dunno, maybe the IR missile wasn't ready at the time, maybe the 152 didn't yet have the added ability to do so. That's why it may be a good idea to include the IRM for non-hysterical AirToAir. ie...for hysterical correct test flying R-4R should be on both wingtip stations, but one IR for the hypothetical productions version. You gotta think this stuff out.
  6. Ye-152 MOD

All the pics I've seen indicate R-4R ONLY. No IR missiles. But, make the weapon stations both SAHM and IRM just in case, who knows... In my fantasy campaign, I assume large scale production of B-70 so anything goes as long as it should *work* in the real world even if not in the hysteria books.
  7. Ye-152 MOD

    Loadout idea... For AirToAir... [AirToAir] Loadout[01].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[02].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[02].Quantity=1 Loadout[03].WeaponType= Loadout[03].Quantity=0 Loadout[04].WeaponType= Loadout[04].Quantity=0 Loadout[05].WeaponType=Tank1500_E152 Loadout[05].Quantity=1 Loadout[06].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[06].Quantity=0 Loadout[07].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[07].Quantity=0 For TestFlight (you can make up loadout options) [TestFlight] Loadout[01].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[01].Quantity=0 Loadout[02].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[02].Quantity=0 Loadout[03].WeaponType= Loadout[03].Quantity=0 Loadout[04].WeaponType= Loadout[04].Quantity=0 Loadout[05].WeaponType=Tank1500_E152 Loadout[05].Quantity=1 Loadout[06].WeaponType=R-4R Loadout[06].Quantity=1 Loadout[07].WeaponType=R-4T Loadout[07].Quantity=1 All the zero quantities keep the original Su-11 empty pylons from showing. The last stations 6 and 7 would be for hysterically correct test flights with wingtip missiles.
  8. Ye-152 MOD

That does look nice. Another idea....Su always used two drop tanks, MiG seemed to like only one. You can set the Su tanks to quantity zero so their pylons don't show, and make new station for one belly tank. 152M carried a whopping 1500 liter tank, and if I recall I use the 370gal F-4 drop tank.
  9. Ever been in an accident?

Car LOD must be in car folder.
  10. Tu-22KD

Xray, yea stargetic cockpit won't work with this bird until Patch 2008. I am staying with old version also. 76, you need to edit your download text and make sure its readable instead of pasting it without checking the looks. Its all busted up hehe. That happens alot on forums where stuff is blindly pasted without checking the looks. Also, include source of info if you got it.
  11. Ye-152 MOD

For the single seat... If you setup *new* wingtip stations, leave the old R-8 stations alone, and set quantity=0 for the old R-8s, you should not see any underwing pylons. Czech it out. MiG had decided to return to traditional underwing pylons when the project stopped. That's what would have happened in any scenario if this aircraft was to see combat. Anyways, you noticed what happens when you fire off only ONE of these missiles from a wingtip? hehe 2 seat trainer could be cool, but that assumes some production which assumes underwing missiles. For the original test flights, wingtip missiles are nice, and make the best screenshots.
  12. Ye-152 MOD

Wow, nice. Smooth missiles eh? Some real fins. 76, it can't carry four. Need option of 2 wingtip or 2 underwing. wingtip missiles: historical test flights, slick, sci-fi look. underwing missiles: What would have happened if the thing was not cancelled. For CombatAce download screenshot, use wingtip missiles, *looks* cool although it wasn't.
  13. Ye-152 MOD

Yes indeed it looks fantastic. I think Su-11 is a bit small, but on the other hand, J-8 wing seems much too large for the 152. 76, lindr has made the R-4 missiles for this. Also, I would include underwing missile loadout for a hypothectical production use -- use the standard R-8 pylons, and maybe I'm thinking radar only...no IR. MiG was heading back in this direction when the project cancelled. The wingtip launches didn't work well.
  14. Yough thanks Wrench. Here is Su-9 canopy opening as we poast.

  16. Lessons learned

Very interesting, especially the visual stuff. You may want to try F-100 vs MiG-17 as well. F-15 vs MiG-17 is like P-40 vs Albatross. Good read: AG F-86 vs F-100, F-105, and USMC MiG-19 (only the *best* are allowed to fly MiGs ) ... WE INTERVIEW LES WALTMAN~> http://sabre-pilots.org/classics/v23les.htm
  17. B-36, as that aircraft is the fundamental core of my interest in the sim, and what I hope to mold it into um someday.
  18. PitchDamper=0.25 changed from zero, got rid of the massive...porpussing (sp? ) Flies great. Gotta match the performance envelope. I don't *think* there were any real vices in the real thing, but I need to look again.
  19. Wow, making this managable in the air, I didn't know where to get started, so I went back to basics. I notice that some aircraft have ReferenceChord and some don't, and this didn't (Hunter FM base), so I slipped a chord in -- guess 3.6 from comparing other similar era planes. BANG! Now it flies "right," nice landing. Needs Xac work or something....remember the long period oscillation depending on speed is gone but I have lots of elevator overcontrol at increasing speeds. This is managable. This is interesting stuff once you get into it. I'm starting to learn this stuff all over again hehe.
  20. Okay, the FM. ... um... I forgot how to do this, but here we go. This will take some work.
  21. Ya that was not Tu-128....tis my mutant mig mold of Inksy J-8 as MiG Ye-152M and A (with the k9). Man that Tupe looks great (missiles too...some real fins!! ).
  22. lindr has made the R-4 missiles, IR and SARH, shown here... ...and K-9 missile too.
  23. Look what i got! ;)

Hey nice shoe launcher. What calibre shoes?
  24. Forget this...see below...uh....careful. If you see white blocks instead of clouds, its because I never uploaded the smoke files. I thought they were stock game stuff, but they are not. The files are Smoke3.tga and Smoke4.tga. I need to include these files because one weapon pack doesn't use them. If you are using the same weapac I use, no problem but it needs updating for this. ITS ALL GOOD. The two smoke files are in Bunyap's JULY 2006 weapon pac, available at the CombatAce. You need them. I can re-upload my nucs with these two smoke files, but I don't know who made them (and I don't know how to make multiple alpha tga files ).
  25. Some bad Ju Ju here...would this have worked? !...lost source for this
