Hi, I'm running the dreaded Vista and have got WoE running ok, however I'm aware that we still can't take sceenshots. I saw it mentioned in the knowledge base, and wondered if anyone here is any closer to a work around to this issue? Also how do I make the program have admin rights? Cheers Justyn

Done and sorted, thanks for the help. I've moved the entire folder into my docs, and I can take screenies the old fashioned way (i.e. Prt Scr, paste into paint and save) I assume that the screenies no longer work as they used too with X amount of screen shots automatically saved into the WoE folder?

The User Account Control was one of the first things I disabled when I first got this new Vista PC, it's drives you mad and borders on insane paranoia! I don't seem to have the Compatability Files thingy seen in your screen capture, so is that linked to the UAC then? I've tried running compatability for XP, as well as the "Run as Administrator" function and I still can't get any screenshots. I may give that image shack thing a go.

Indeed, the in-game hunter will already have the basic camo. You could also go for a nice dual 8/43 Sqn Aden crisis jet as seen on the example at the RAF museum at Hendon!

Hi, As an ex Wattisham man, I was wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to do some repaints for the MF Phantom FGR.2 please? It would be great to have 19, 92 as well as 56 squadrons represented in standard Barley grey schemes in WoE. I'm not too worried about 74, as they've already been covered by an F-4J (UK) release and as a member of the 74 (F) Sqn Association, I fly this regularly! It would be nice to have 74's sister squadron represented in it's later days. If someone would be willing (as I wouldn't know where to start! ) it would be much appreciated. Many thanks Justyn

Yes the F-4J (UK) really showed the FGR.2 for what it was, though it was little more sluggish on takeoff than the Brit jets. Shame 74 had to trade them in for FGR.2's, but it was logical move given the spare airframes available upon the arrival of the Tornado F.3. The Spey's initial power was great for FG.1's needing to get off the deck of Ark Royal, as she was of course much smaller than the USN carriers. We Brits have a long tradition of taking a perfectly good aircraft and screwing it up completely, the Lockheed P-38 also springs to mind! So Mr Sundowner, where can I get those nice skins from? I couldn't find them in the downloads section here.

Ah that's a real shame as I'm a big fan of the Hawk. I'm now downloading the T-45A, so I'll take a look at it and see if it's a T.1 in disguise, or a carrier jet. If anyone has the original T.1 and they're willing to send it via email to me, it really would be appreciated. Cheers

The Tomcat was a wonderful machine, but like any warplane, it's time comes to retire. I worked with the F-4 with the RAF many years ago, and was very sad at its departure, especially when seeing them being broken up for scrap over on the fire dump. Unlike the Phantom though, the Tomcat has a worthy successor in the F/A-18E/F, in fact I remember reading a magazine article a couple of years back where a newly converted ex-Tomcat RIO said he'd much rather go to war in the Super Hornet than his previous mount.

Hi, With SFP1 getting long in the tooth, and compatability problems with Vista, is there an F/A-18E/F in production anywhere? I know it's probably getting late in the day to see too much in the way of new aircraft, but it would be nice to see a super bug, especially as many of the former F-14 operators are now equipped with them!

Avsim is a very well known FS9/FSX resource. I've downloaded lots of files for FS9 from there (and uploaded some repaints) and never had a virus.

Sorry didn't mean anything by my comments, it's just that things seem to move no so fast these days. Yes I am somewhat out of the loop, having spent quite some time flying in IL2FB and FS9. I'm very pleased to see that SFP1 has a long life ahead of it as unlike some other flight sims, it's good fun and entertaining!

Hi, Firstly I must say how impressed I am with the distance SFP1 has come. There really are some very talented people that have worked wonders on this sim, and it's a real joy to return to it again after a few years away. I have solved most of the problems I had after install, however there are one or two questions to problems I can't seem to resolve. Just for reference I have the basic SFP1 upgraded to the latest service pack and patch. Firstly the use of LGB's, how do you you target them? Secondly how so I fit LGB's to wpnssgt's F-16C Block 50/52, and is there LANTIRN available too as there seems to be a intake station available on the loadout page? And lastly, a few years back there was a superb set of USAFE F-4E skins. I can't seem to find them, does anyone know where they are? Many thanks Justyn

I'm a big F-16 fan, a great jet with a great all round capability which is why I'd like to get it fitted with all the bells and whistles. I've looked in the F-16C_loadout config file and can see that it's fitted for LGB's and LIGHTNING pod. However these are not showing up in the loadout page. These are in the sim as they work fine with the F-4E, and yes the radar screen changes to target the LGB's in SFP1 too. The AVQ-23 pod is a bit of a mystery too when flying the F-4E, as it only gives me the option for the LANTIRN targeting pod. Is the weapons pack the only set I need or is there more? Cheers
