  1. Just a thank you for putting this together, it is much appreciated. Again, anything that can increase the realism of this already great sim is worth a download! Thanks again, Mike D.
  2. File Name: Revised WOV SEA F-4E-35 textures File Submitter: mppd File Submitted: 1 Dec 2007 File Updated: 1 Dec 2007 File Category: F-4 Revised WOV F-4E-35 textures 11-07 Found a couple of problem areas after releasing the first texture sets. These are fixed, plus the panel lines and stenciled markings are sharpened up a bit. Also darkened up the rear fuselage bare metal areas to match photos better and changed the wing fold details and tweaked a few other minor details. As before, these base textures are made to go with my USAF F-4 decals so no national markings are on the base art. Still at 1024 pixel resolution for modest computer systems. These textures are for the short gun F-4E-35. Mike Druzolowski Click here to download this file

  6. File Name: Revised USAF F-4 Tailcodes for WOV File Submitter: mppd File Submitted: 1 Dec 2007 File Category: F-4 Revised WOV USAF F-4 tailcodes 11-07 This is a small update to my USAF SE Asia Phantom II tailcode decals. It adds fin tip colors to the RHAW antenna housing on the vertical stab, and wingtip tape light decals. Also included is a new nose landing gear door decal with the last three digits of the serial number - which is repeated on the inside of the nose gear side fairing door (for PACAF F-4D serials only). Although not on every airplane, this was very common on many F-4Ds in Southeast Asia. Several entries in the squadronlist.ini were extraneous - this has been fixed. Drop all included decal .TGA files into your objects-decals folder, over-writing all older files. Place this squadronlist.ini into the Pilotdata folder. (No new entrys were added, only extra entries deleted. Oh, also I missed the 13th TFS, 432nd TRW at Udorn with "UD" tailcodes in 1973 which was accidentally "WP" on the decal. All original entries remain the same, only now they will call up correct decals). Mike Druzolowski Click here to download this file

  8. Try Airliners.net, type in Lakenheath, F-4D - lots of pics. Mike D.
  9. I just finished tweaking the textures (again) so I'll upload a fixed version, and I made a black bellied version for the 497th TFS Night Owls, but Sundowner and YAP already have available versions so I guess it's just for myself. I'm making up actual serials for the nite owl birds - I have about 12 or so from photos, plus LORAN versions (again, requires YAP). Thanks again for the templates, Mike D.
  10. Something I always thought was interesting was that the F-89J stood alert at all those US Air National Guard facilities - like Des Moines Iowa, Burlington Vermont, etc. but completely unarmed...the only armament of the J was the AIR-2A Genie - the loading guys practiced with dummy rounds, the airplanes flew with only the AIR-2 pylon, but no weps. No nuc storage facility at Des Moine or Burlington...!! Guess if the Soviet bombers made it that far inland they'd attempt to ram 'em or something...Early NORAD/ADC plans were to have ANG units stand nuc alert, but the plan never materialized. At least when the F-102 was phased into ANG service it stood alert with armed acft (AIM-4A/D, 2.75 in FFAR). I used to know a wpns tech at Bradley when they flew deuces in Conn. Will be glad to help skin some birds with you. Have plenty of reference info from my old historian days when associated with Marty Isham, Mister ADC himself. Mike D.
  11. Thanks again Joe, the templates look great. I helped myself to some of those panel lines and rivets, and will be issuing a revision to my SE Asian F-4 textures, with a hearty thanks and credits to you. Mike D.
  12. Air defense Command has always been my first love. The F-89 series is a great addition. By all means, finish it off and upload it for all. I have lots of color schemes we could create for it. Mike D.
  13. Boy, do I know what you mean! Every project I uploaded I noticed a few things wrong the next day. Almost embarrassed to issue an update...just hoping most won't notice. Very nice panel line/rivet work on the Indiana Guard birds by the way. Just can't get enough F-4s for WOV. Mike D.

  16. Very nice work. Can't beat an all-inclusive squadron project with F-4s, including real serial numbers. Good job. Mike D.

  21. Just wanted to throw my two cents worth in. A superb job, the tiles match seamlessly. Without a doubt a fine addition to WOV, the realism is just great. This sim is just getting better and better! Mike D.
  22. Very nice job. Can't wait to try them in game! Mike D.
  23. File Name: USAF F-4 Tailcodes for WOV File Submitter: mppd File Submitted: 22 Oct 2007 File Category: F-4 Here is a long overdue overhaul of the USAF F-4C/D/E Phantom II tailcode decals for every Air Force Phantom squadron in Southeast Asia from 1967 through 1975 for WOV. Some 326 new TGA decals are provided with (hopefully) correct fin tip colors, canopy rails, tape lights, and intake insignias for a total of 62 marking schemes, many I have not seen released before. Also included are my F-4 serial number decals, plus a little historical info for reference. A new squadronlist.ini file is provided with new entries, but none of the original squadron entries are altered so you do not need to edit any existing campaign or mission files. I'd appreciate any input for mistakes/corrections and of course additions. (The TGA decals have some reference marks on them also to allow anyone to use them to create new markings!) Enjoy, Mike Druzolowski Click here to download this file
  24. Skins look great - can't wait for a copy! Mike D.
