Since they debuted the P4 video in December I've been very interested in the game. I'm fairly new to flight sims but I've been playing Rise of Flight since last August, needless to say I've grown increasingly sick of the AI in that game, as great as the visuals and the flight models are, it's wearing on my nerves. I had hoped they would announce some plans to fix the AI with the road map blog, instead Jason only included a short sentence saying they'll continue to fix AI and other features without really going into any sort of detail. This frustrates me immensely as the AI in ROF is horrendous and Jason has said that "it's impossible to overhaul the AI". Now that the short rant is over with. I have questions regarding P4, some of them may be commonly asked questions and I apologize if that's the case. 1. How is the AI in OFF? Can they be surprised, do they have restricted vision, meaning that you can hide beneath them and that they don't react immediately when you pull in behind them? 2. Will P4 be distributed via download? This whole paying for a disc based mod is ridiculous to me, I understand it adds a lot of content but I'd rather pay for it and just download it immediately. 3. Is the career mode in OFF or will it be in P4, accessible and user friendly; does it support a wide variety of aircraft? 4. How are the flight models in OFF/P4, do the planes feel like they're flying and not just..."moving through the game world?" The thing I love so much about Rise of flight is it's great sense that you're in a machine with lift and weight to it, and no other sim has really accomplished that for me quite as well as ROF. 5. Visuals, I understand the game runs in the very old CFS3 engine so I understand it can't be top of the line. But does it at least compete with a modified IL2 or BoB2? And lastly what kind of release window are we talking about? It seems to be a running joke that "two weeks" is the release date but really is there any time frame, will it be this year at least? Before June hopefully(diablo 3 comes out around then and my life will end). Thank you.

I'm enjoying the game so far, I've flown about four campaign missions for 56th squadron. I love the environments in the game, lots of ground objects and stuff going on all over the place. My only complaints are that the lighting in overcast weather doesn't look right and I've got a "cfs3 has encountered a problem" error a couple times. I have a couple more questions if you guys don't mind. 1. What key disables the hit messages, I looked through the options and I thought I had found it but those messages don't seem to want to go away. 2. Can gunners shoot through the tail of the aircraft? Fighting a DFW C.V I engaged from below like I do in ROF(with mods) and I was hit, I'm not sure if I wasn't totally under the tail or if he shot me through the tail. 3. Can gunners and pilots be killed? I haven't been wounded yet and it doesn't seem like I've gotten any pilot kills either. 4. Is there an actual reload animation? Flying the SE5 I know that the gun ran out of ammo at some point but it seemed to just come back on it's own moments later. Also can anyone confirm if P4 will have like gun cocking animations or anything? I imagine that's maybe not possible in CFS3. Thanks again.

Yes I can see that it doesn't have quite correctly modeled Aldis sights, but I don't mind that. However it's historically inaccurate because Aldis sights were standard issue to all SE5's. I've never seen a photo of an armed SE5 without an aldis sight.

Do I need to download all three of the files or just the most recent one?

lol funny thing I just had my windows live account compromised yesterday, someone took my XBL account and used it's payment info to buy MS points on their own console LOL!

Can you link me to the file I need for the Damage model mod, I think I saw quite a few different DM mods. And does you flight model mod affect more than just a couple planes? The ones I saw said they only affected a couple of planes I don't fly, I think it was the pup, sop tripe and one other.

I downloaded flak mod, elephant's mod(whatever it is I forget) and the realistic tracers smoke effect mod. I get my game today WOO WOO!

I found it Polovski, looking sweet. Can't wait for P3 to get here so I can try it out, then the wait begins for P4!

Are there any shots of the new SE5? Is the one in the P4 video updated?

I'm looking through the downloads section for OFF, it's so awesome to have modifcations for a game. That's the worst damn part about ROF is a bunch of the issues could be fixed by users if 777 would allow modding. Anyone have suggestions on which mods to use with P3?

This is how I play Rise of flight so it'll be how I play OFF. Can you disable the small radar, hit messages and all of the hud? I was playing around with CFS3 last night and couldn't figure out how.

I've had a number of accounts compromised, including my hotmail, Ebay and Paypal accounts. Change your password and your security questions and make sure your backup email if you have one hasn't been changed. Are you sure you didn't try to login or input your hotmail info into an unsecure website? It seems really rare that you'd actually get 'hacked'. In my case my ebay and hotmail accounts were stolen by a chinese fellow who then proceeded to change my hotmail options to chinese language he didn't change the password, but once I found out it had been compromised I couldn't do much about it until I found the option to change my language back to english lol, he also tried selling a bunch of fake watches on my ebay but support was able to cancel all of those and save me some trouble. All is well, this thing happens, all you can do is change your info and move on dude.

I have a P7P55D-E LX, no idea if it has EFI BIOS.

I was looking at some screenshots and reading some threads. Seems like this game could maybe be a real power hog? I have a core i5 2.8ghz, 4gb of ram and a GTX 480, do you think I'll be able to max the game out and still run at a solid 60 fps?

Oh, well I'm fine with that so I'll just get the CD one.

What's different about installing OFF between the CD and DVD version?
