You can't really. You need the carrier's files (about 27 texture files, ini files etc) and I think you only get them from WoV. Although, I'm not sure if it's necessary now that you don't need the groundobjects.ini from WoV. I think you'd just be able to grab a carrier from here at CA and drop it in. I've always had a bit of trouble with the carriers myself, but I've got a rough idea how it works...

Yeah, the bloody server in the city here (where I get the best pings) only has one or two SD servers and they're always full. SD, HQ and CTF were always my faves! Anyone know if there are planes for either larger maps or 30 player maps in the works? I stole my flyswatter taking down a hind with an MP5... the guy who was hitting it with the RPG was not happy!

How long has it taken you to get to lvl 40 dude? I think in the first couple of days playing MP I made it to level 12. That's about 2 hours total, give or take. Hey, does anyone know any maps where I can take a decent basejump or swan dive off of something?

Just a question, this is prolly not the issue but I'll ask it anyways. When you installed the 25 extra planes, did both of you install them? Or did you install them to one of the copies of the game and then copy that install over the to the second computer? In the past I've found if you install the stuff independently that it can, from time to time, cause a few issues. We (my nerds and I) just mod one and then copy that one over to the other lan players now and it usuallyworks fine.

Oh gawd... the handbreak thing... that sucks! My day though... This arvo I randomly went looking for one of the admin staff on the 5th floor of my building today to get some help with a task when I saw the professor she assists. Out of the blue he says to me "I heard you had an altercation with the manager in the dental office (3rd floor, 7th layer of hell) the other day, wanna tell me about it? I know that they can be bitchy and cliquey there and I here you're been taking a bit of their crap for a while now." So I told him in passing how she bit my head off in front of a bunch of people for apparently not doing something I was told to do by her (which I had and was in the process of being sorted by HR at the time). I said nothing about the quite childish and sexist comments she'd made when he'd piped up "Yeah, I'd she's said something about being a dickless wonder... want to make a formal complaint?" Now as much as I'd like to see her thrown out on her arse for being an awfully inefficient manager and a general pain in the arse of everyone who's not on the 3rd floor, I didn't particularly feel like snitching in that they would make sure my department would suddenly, inexplicably find themselves facing unnecessary delays, our mail and orders would go 'missing', our orders finding their way to the bottom of the pile etc (yes, they are that petty!) I said "Nah, it was a while ago and she made herself look like a tool in front of other people anyways." To which he replies "Oh well, she's got three other formal complaints from staff concerning verbal attacks to have to deal with anyways. Looks like you'll have a new school manager soon." And then trundled off. Now, despite being effing stoked that karma's going to bite her in the arse quite soon, I'm trying not to think about the amount of work my dept. and I could have achieved if she hadn't wandered in with her size 12s... To answer your question, its a pair or coronas so far, but I'm about to head off to see Muse play. I figure there's gotta be a couple of pints with my name on them...

Is that what hppened? I remember finding Biohaz and the LOMAC skin downloads thinking "This is the sh*t!". I left the state for a few months and cam back home only to find the site down at which point I thought "I hate it when people don't maintain their sites, despite the great content (I just assumed it was some little teenaged dude who ran the site) and cursed Biohaz. And then a few months after that I thought I'd have a looksee to see if anything had changed and it redirected me to CA. Then I proceeded to do my "happy dance".

S'aight. Blue Flanker paint comes as the default skin. As for the A-10C, an ini edit should do the trick. I'm not sure if there are any external differences with the original. Maybe some pit changes, but it shouldn't be too hard to mod one to A-10C standard.

I usually go by something stoopid like "yourchancesofeverbeinglaid,geek!" so when I get killed, it shows up on their screen as "You killed yourchancesofeverbeinglaid,geek!" I'm trying to hit them with the Terrible Terry Tate psychological warfare... Has anyone noticed that he maps are quite small and even on 16 player maps, the tendency to TK is pretty high?? I'm generally a decent player and can ID someone before I shoot, but that disused russian depot level (can't remember what it's called but it's Spetznaz V SAS) saw me getting a pair of 20 TK penalties in the space of ten mins...

Funny you should mention that as I'm getting it too. Although sometimes if I attempt to reconnect it works. It can be a pain in the arse though!

Hehe, yeah I just played that one last night, although I ditched the pistol early on an nabbed the MP5, then threw that away for the P90. And when I ran outta ammo for that, there were plenty of AKs laying around! I like the MP XP system. I think I was promoted to Corporal after only 51 mins of play. I find I can rack up the kills on the container ship level, and the bog (hehe bog!) but everywhere else I'm a bit average. Now if I can just unlock that AK-74Su and pimp it out with some attachments... Mwahaha!! I can only get access to about 2 S&D servers at the mo, the others are perpetually full! My only gripe so far (aside from the SAS using American aircraft) is that I kinda miss the fire rate toggle from the very first one. I mean it's very tolerant of semi auto firing, but I think it's because I'm used to semi auto in BF2.
