Strike Fighters : Android Edition
Lazarus1177 replied to SkateZilla's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
It all depends on how you look at it.For people on the go,it may be a big help. But,imagine the android version selling like hot cakes.Imagine ThirdWire deciding to close down the pc version! The feeling of playing this game on the PC simply cannot be surpassed. But I'm probably being paranoid right guys?.....guys?!Anyways,what of kind of graphic quality can we expect from the Android version? -

Blog: If war is the question... what is the answer?
Lazarus1177 replied to KiwiBiggles's topic in The Pub
War is never the question but, always the wrong answer to a right question.Besides, whats the point of talking when we simply cannot change anything practically? -
Just play WOI on all settings set to hard and only from the cockpit.

Lazarus1177 replied to logan4's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
What Third Wire needs to release as a DLC is a proper Mirage5F of the French Armee de l'Air! -

3rd Party sounds don't you know...sound!
Lazarus1177 replied to GodsLt's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Happened to my installation when I made a separate install for the Falklands mod.Check if you have two folders named 'sound' and 'sounds' in your mod folder.Renaming the sound folder to sounds may fix the problem.(or vice-versa) -
When this came out,a lot of people thought the Mig-28 to be a real aircraft!

File Name: PAF Dakotas File Submitter: Lazarus1177 File Submitted: 28 July 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Skins PAF/RPAF C-47A Dakota For SF2 Full-5 merged(or at minimum SF2:I with Expansion pack1) Overview: These Dakotas were gained by the air arms of India and Pakistan after the partition of the Indo-Pak Subcontinent in 1947.Their primary roles were transport and sometimes resupply to ground troops. They were in service from 1947 to at least 1970.There has been speculation that some aircraft were modified as recon planes during the 1971 war. However, due to an almost complete lack of photos and technical reference, the history of these airframes cannot be traced. The mod: Presented in this mod are two skins to represent two different airframes of the Pakistan Air Force.Again, due to very little reference available for these aircraft, the skins are provided without tail numbers. Two skins are provided: -PAF Grey -PAF Green The Grey scheme is meant to represent the aircraft which transported Mohammed Ali Jinnah(the founder of Pakistan and the man behind the partition of the Indo-Pak Subcontinent). This aircraft was at that time in service with the Royal Pakistan Air Force for which accurate decals are provided. The Green scheme represents a few airframes in service with the Air Force in East Pakistan(now Bangladesh). These aircrafts were thought to be used as Recon platforms. Installation: After unzipping PAF Dakotas V1.0,paste the aircraft folder inside the objects folder inside your SF2 mod folder.Do the same for decals. When asked to overwrite, click yes.Note:If you do not know anything about the mod folder, the immediately stop the installation,go to the CombatACE Forums,Go to the Strike Fighters 2 Knowledge Base and take a look at the thread explaining the Strike Fighters 2 mod folder mechanism. You have my full permission to modify and use these textures as well as the decals for your own mod(s) as long as I(Lazarus1177) am acknowledged as the original Author. IMPORTANT: I HEREBY CLAIM NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THE CHANGES THIS MOD MAY RENDER TO YOUR GAME(Even though it doesn't).IF THIS MOD IS INSTALLED,THEN IT IS DONE ONLY BY THE WILL OF THE USER AND I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS.INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.(The mod is perfectly safe, but I still claim no responsibility just to be safe!) I believe that if human beings are disciplined enough to control themselves and to prevent themselves from committing acts of an in-human nature, then wars can easily be prevented.Yes,we are a predatory species but,but one with rules.Just because a theory states that we evolved from chimps does not give us a reason to go to our non-human roots(even if the theory is true). Also, human nature is not completely based on competitiveness but,on being a part of a group(in short, being accepted). Declaring war is just defeat within itself. Just like Gandhi Said: "Victory attained by violence, is tantamount to defeat".

Agreed. But,letting the forest burn could greatly harm the atmospheric environment. Also, air travel around the area may be affected.

"Houston we have a problem....That USB I swallowed....It's not there...."

Firefighters are airdropped to look for people trapped in the area.Think of it as SAR(Search and Rescue).

The whole ceremony was great. But,for me the best part was Rowan Atkinson!

Adjusting conflict date
Lazarus1177 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hi fellow simers!Hope all's well with you. I hope this question has not been asked before as I haven't found a similar thread. My question: The least date in the Default desert map is 1945 while the max I can go is 1982.If I select an aircraft with a higher date, then I'm stuck with selecting that date and cannot cycle back. For example the max date is 1982 but,if I fly the Block 40 Viper, the only date shown is 1989.I was hoping someone could tell me how to increase the max date in the default desert terrain from 1982 to atleast 1991 .All or any help is welcome.
