Stratos, create a new user account on your computer. Log on with the new account. And try to start strike fighters 2. And dit you find anything in the eventviewer log files ?

In some cases Windows updates include hardware drivers. I often see this in HP notebooks. Are you using a notebook / laptop ?

Probably a stupid question. But could I use the powerplant from GermanyCE in the Desert map if I ad it to the Desert-types.ini ?(merged install) Because the lod file is in the GemanyCE.cat Thanks in advance.

Hi Erik I dont have Java installed on my machine, and everything works fine,.... (drop down menu's, picture upload etc) Stary's problem could be a corrupted Windows user profile. Kind Regards Dennis

Hello Stary, Wich IE version are you using 10 or 11 etc Did you clean all cookies and temporary internet files? And try the following: Ad combatace to the compatibility view. Revert IE back to factory defaults.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the tips. But the wierd thing is, When on the runway surrounded bij ground objects the FPS is fine, it's between 38 / 45 fps. When flying the fps goes up to 50 / 60 fps. But when I look in the direction of a dogfight the fps drops to below 10 fps. But there is absolutely nothing to see in that direction. Because the action is too far away. As soon as I look back to my 12 o clock the fps are back to normal again. Putting all sliders to low, and using a very low resolution does not help. As far as I know my CPU is not suitable for overclocking (Intel Core I5 2400 3.10)

DCS is very nice but it does not run well on my pc, very low Fps when looking in a certain direction. Sometimes even as low as 8 fps. I tried every tip on the dcs forum but with no success. After a couple of day's of changing every possible setting and drivers etc. I gave up. Now I only play SF2 (and still like it very much) and sometimes Falcon alied force an MS flightsimulator. There are so many great mods for SF2 that I wont get bored with it very soon.( buccaneer, mirage F1, new germany terain, weapons pack etc) At this moment I am flying a 1960's europe campain as a royal Netherlands f-84f thunderstreak pilot. My PC specs: Intel i5. 8gb ram ssd hard drive radeon7970 2 gb graphics card.

Hi Rends, Sorry fot the late reply. I was busy in real life. I removed all targets from TargetArea023 Bremerhaven. And i only left this in the target.ini: [TargetArea023] Name=Bremerhaven Position=365715.06,730556.00 Radius=16971 ActiveDate=01/01/0001 Location=1 Alignment=FRIENDLY But the game still crashed. Next I'll fly around Hamburg and Leuna Werke.

Hi Centurion It's really looking nice. Panel lines are hardly visible when looking at pictures of U.S. Agressor F-5's. So I think you made a good choice. Can't wait to fly your beautiful aircraft.

My specs: Intel i5 2400 3.10 GHz Radeon HD 7870 2GB DDR5 2 X OCZ 120GB SSD Windows 7 Enterprise Game crashes when flying any Mirage F1 around Bremerhaven. (Kjakker was able to reproduce the error at least once) When using the external view I have no problems flying towards Bremenhaven. And one crash flying the stock A-7D after CTRL + N. (exact location unknown)

Hi guys I didn't want to wait, so i resized a skin. The Original skin is in jpg format in 4096x4096. I resized it to 25% of it's Original size 1024x1024 but the game still freezes. Next I replaced the TerrainEngine.dll, with an older patch level one. but the game stil froze. So far this is the only spot on the map were it happens. The mirage is the only plane with this bug. Other 3rd party planes I tried: T33 shooting star Fiat G91Y Buccaneer S2B

Hi Wrench, The game does not freeze in external view mode. Cast shadow=false does not make a difference. I'll try a resized skin tommorow.
