  1. Fast pace aerial combat, Excellent scenes and shots. And maneuvering that would put a Colonial Viper to shame. If you don't confuse it with reality it's pretty good.
  2. See here: http://combatace.com/topic/87007-flashing-textures-anyone-have-a-cure/
  3. Perhaps some waterways you can fly up for those riverine interdiction missions :)
  4. Excellent. Some fictional terrain for all those "what if"-scenarios!
  5. Snailman, I took the liberty to PM you.
  6. I can only -humbly- agree with this.
  7. I have a GTX 660 Ti. Latest drivers caused severe texture problems. I rolled back to an older driver to cure it.
  8. I have a trackir 5 but sadly I sit with my back to a sunlit window which I can't blind completely. Trackir is very sensitive to any reflections in the background. Lowering the threshold for background interference only helps so much. I came across this solution http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/56739-tip-trackir-backlight-problem-solved/ It works for me. It doesn't solve all problems but in combination with adjusting the threshold it allows me to play even on a very sunny day.
  9. Googling around I found matricules militaire as high as "X" (a Potez 631) and "Y". I don't think there is a connection with either the type of plane (from either WWI or WWII) or the unit. There must be a different system but I can't figure out what. Perhaps someone who speaks French can google in that language. Check in particular the remarks for plates 1, 2 and 25... https://books.google.nl/books?id=eLjEOMNXP98C&lpg=PA93&ots=ybAyt8gQuL&dq=matricule%20militaire%20aeroplanes&hl=nl&pg=PA93#v=onepage&q=matricule%20militaire%20aeroplanes&f=false
  10. Osprey "aircraft of the aces" no 28 shows on the color plates French planes with a serial number (3 digits) and a matricule militaire consisting of a letter and three digits different from the serial number, just like Cliff describes in the previous post.
  11. Haven't flown a campaign in some time but IIRC hitting "refly" and exiting the game leaves you at the start of the abandoned mission.
  12. Disney Pixar X-Wings

Absolutely brilliant. Right up to the point where I think: "Don't give them any ideas!"
  13. Depending on the performance of the opponent going vertical is an option.
  14. Il-2 '46's new supermod!

I finally got it all working. Even V2torrent doesn't seem to be flawless. I needed the v1 update for WAW to get it running. Besides that most of the reasons it didn't work earlier appear all to be of my own doing. Old age isn't creeping up on me, it's overtaking me left, right and center.
  15. Il-2 '46's new supermod!

QMB issues can be related to the file "lastquick" in the quickmissions folder. Deleting that file helps. But it seems you have to do that every time you switch to another module. I can't tell if that last is true because DOF is the only module that worked for me so far. Just deleted everything. Going to do a new install (about the 10th time) but this time with V2Torrent. Downloading now (fingers crossed)
  16. They fly as much as helicopters as can be done within the limitations and possibilities of SF2. Especially the CH53 is impressive. Because they where originally tied into a specific misson in YAP3 they come with only the skin for that mission. So the CH-46 has skins for HMM165 en HC11 (Purple Foxes) and the CH53 has a generic skin called USMC01 which has decals for HMH463
