No, no flame. (at least from me) I try to keep my "pilot light" under control when it comes to politics. Maybe I`m just numbed out! As far as Bush and Kerry are concerned - I have mixed feelings about both. Yes, my blood pressure does jump a little whenever somebody brings up Bush-Chaney dealings and Bush`s "smirk". Generally, I agree with a lot of stuff you said. And Snapple - no deaf ears there either.

I`ve done my share of complaining about Lomac. No sense repeating all that stuff. I do play the sim, maybe not to the extent that I would like to but still... It cracks me up once in a while to find details (visual, flight dynamics, etc.) that I would never expect in this sim. (too many system simplifications and shortcuts) Recently I was taxiing for TO in an F-15 and decided to test fire the gun on the tower. (I hate the parrot-controller in Lomac!). The Eagle actually rolled back from recoil!!! These whacky devs! Maybe now they could focus on other aspects of the sim. For now, I have only 2 wishes: 1) Working Antenna Elev. and 2) Raise the pilots seat (viewing angle) to allow for realistic landings. I know! - # 2 wish will probably never happen. But # 1 - who knows?

No problems whatsoever! Yes, you do need to tweek it though. I set up a pretty wide dead zone and slowed it down quite a bit, except for the marginal angles.

No flat panels in my "sim room". Still using Sony E540 (21"). But for quite some time, strange thoughts of projectors and curved screens have been swirling in my head. One more obstacle to overcome - my wife! Maybe, sometime this year?

Yes, it is very sim "specific" ;) but can`t really argue with the guy without having tested F4SP3 against all the tables. But I just got motivated! (let`s see for how long) I happen to have an F-16C,D dash 1 manual. About one third of it contains nothing but performance graphs and tables. Time permitting, I`m going to set up some test flights and see how close F4BMS1 gets to the real thing. I`ve been planning to do this for a long time but I guess I was just too busy playing it :D Something to do before Lomac patch comes out.

Boy, that guy was getting around! :D Even some of the maintainers, who want to get an incentive ride have to wait sometimes for a while. And not everyone of them gets it :( Not the same as it used to be. In any branch. BTW. What EA6B beta are you talking about? Strike Fighters or FS add-on?

I do go to Lomac`s website. I wanna download the patch as soon as it becomes available. As far as their forums are concerned, I like Aviation forum. It`s almost like reading Aviation Week or Jane`s reports. Lots of good info. I also check bug reports and occasionally General forum. Whining doesn`t bother me a bit. Yes, some complainers jump to conclusions too early and they`ll fight you to death trying to prove their point. But if you read through most of the posts, I think you can get a pretty good idea what the most serious problems are. Especially if you don`t own the game yet.

BMS 1.0 for F4SP3 is out. Just DL`d it. I`m reading the manual right now. Seems like these guys are taking it to the extremes of realism. So, if you like F-16s - try it out!

Practicing on the current build will give you a headache! Lots of people reported problems with Lo-mac`s radar, any of them (F-15, SU33, Mig) Initially, when you turn it on it works great. You can change the elevation, azimuth, range. Picking up targets (provided they are within the parameters) is usually no problem. When you switch to Vertical Scan or Boresight modes and then go back to BVR modes (making sure that the antenna is centered) you will not be able (most of the times) to move your antenna elevation. The cursor will still move with no problem but it seems like the antenna is stuck in the upward direction. In couple of instances the radar worked perfectly throughout the whole mission. So far I was not able to pinpoint the problem.
