SF2 Canadair CL-30 (CT-133) Silver Star Based on the SF2 Lockheed F-80C/RF-80C/T-33A Shooting Stars Pak by ErikGen (Ver.2). *** For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Recommended/Preferred) *** This package contains 1 aircraft for SF2. *Note: as this aircraft is built with the latest 3W exporter, they will most likely =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Installs* What started as a simple skin (Snowbirds one) quickly came to a multi skin project. Then, after having a lot of RCAF skins, the idea came to do a complete package and here it is! Aircraft included, and skins are: CT-133 : Complete plane Skins : 1955 1956 (navy) 1956 (silver/orange) 1957 1958 1960 (camo) 1960 (silver/orange) 1965 1968 1970 1975 1978 1982 1988 (camo) 1988 1991 2002 Snowbirds support aircraft All skins are in DDS format. Decal randomization is set to TRUE for all skins. The serial numbers are 100% accurate, as these really flew in the RCAF. The RCAF skins/markings were a real mess up to the 80’s, so these are the common one’s encountered and how they should have look like. In real life, that was not the case every time as there was mix up between skins… Drag and drop the files in their respectives folders. Special tanks to: ErikGen – Base aircraft where the T-33A can be found : http://combatace.com/files/file/13411-sf2-lockheed-f-80crf-80ct-33a-shooting-stars-pak-by-erikgen/ bobrock – F9F-2 pak (where I took engine sound and data to simulate the nene engine as these were also known as the J48 which is the engine of the F9F http://combatace.com/files/file/13412-sf2-korean-war-era-f9f-2-panther-pak-by-bobrock/ Wrench – Base skin of the T-33A from where I build my template Baffmeister - For solving the wingtip fuel tank problem And to the people who show some interests in the first T-33 skin I made! Happy flights! Mario C.
  2. Hi All, have a look to this skin i made... Currently working on skins of RCAF T-birds. Let me know what you think!
  3. Upload near to be done... When done, will be in the section Cold War Era aircraft, Other origin. (even if the T-33A was a US Aircraft, the CT-133 was a licence buid T-33 in Canada Under official designation CL-30... Will upload the file by the end of the day!
  4. Okay folks, now everything is done, except the wingtip tanks where i would only have the Fletcher one's. If only i could figure that out, i could release my CT-133 + skins :) Did not have much time as the snowstorm + high tides hit hard...
  5. Thanks Nyghtfall it did the trick! I now have to solve some decals problem with some skins as it seems that 3 of them are screwing up everything :( But as they are common one i will put them directly on the skins so they will not be decals anymore and everything will be solved! I hope to finish this soon, but with the snowstorm we have here, will not have many time to put on it (but i'll still find some).
  6. I'm on the final stretch. Folder have been created to get the distinctive CT-133, based on the T-33A (no modification made to the fuselage, even if it shall be done as there was a slight difference between those two T-Birds). Now i can select and fly the CT-133 OR the T-33A. Decal folder have been done. Little tweak in the CT-133.ini to change the T-33A engine for the nene one. All links made in the ini's. Now some test to try to solve the wingtip tanks problem i have but i'm about to get it (well i hope). So final flights tonight to see if works properly and waiting for the 60cm of snow to fall this night!
  7. Also, little problem with decals on 1951 to 1957 decals... In reality, the underwing markings are reversed I manually did the roundel and lettering of the right underwing (left side of image), but the decal for the number can't be put in the right direction. I tried the line Inverted =TRUE in the decals.ini, but what i would need to do is a ROTATION... Is there another command that would alloud a a 180 degrees rotation to a decal? If a create a decal, this will not match with the other plane decals (same number)... As a solution, i made both underwing decals identical (they are looking the same direction), as per the left underwing (right side of image)...
  8. Project finished! Skins done : 1955 1956 (1) 1956 (2) 1957 1958 1960 (1) 1960 (2) 1965 1968 1970 1975 1978 1982 1986 1988 (1) 1988 (2) 1991 2002 Snowbirds Support So a tally of 19! Now i would like to take the T-33A files and make out a CT-133 one so i could tweak the engine to get the Nene engine instead of the regular engine. Any input on how to do it. I trid by copying the files in a new folder (CT-133) and changes the name in the T-33A.ini folder for CT-133 Silver Star but it is not working :) Also, How come that even if by default it's the Fletcher tank that is on the loadout screen when i pop in game i have the F-80 regular tank? Even if i only put the Fletcher tank in the folder, i have the Fletcher tank in the loadout screen but when in game i did have the Fletcher tank, but no texture (all black)... On these 2 i'm lost so any help would be great!
  9. A little more made tonight :) Checked the decals per time period and they now fit. Completely made to more skins (1987 and 1991) :) Did the Flight School one, but too many problem up to now with 1 decal... Test flight have been made to check if everything show properly. Here is the two 1988 scheme and the 1991 and 2006 one's So will now check if skins are okay and go on with upload!
  10. Okay folks, Between the hollidays and snow removal (it's common here to get a LOT in wintertime, but is that necessary to get day after day after day, lol), i am almost done. Even had the time to do the final regular scheme (year 2006). So it makes a tally of 17 skins and as said before, there were still a few more to do as i found some i did not remember :) So what started as a little project came bigger and bigger :) I might do a 1987 scheme also on release as it will be easy to do and the ''Flight School one'' in the mean time. I only have to check if the decals are placed correctly a last time and adjust them, then final flight check before releasing!
  11. Hi Guys, Project still going on :) Almost all skins are finished. Got the canopies to finish on the camo schemes, some decals verifications to be done on every skins, camo scheme of 1988 to complete and will be ready to upload... There is 6 others RCAF skins i found in my documents and i could easely do them in the next weeks. I put a LOT of time on the 16 skins and i will need a break of this :) So stay tuned and i will give dev. status on this project!
  12. Not a lot have been done today, but some work on the 1957 camo scheme. I discovered that the 4 camo scheme on the CT-133 were all different... so a little extra work here :) Also a little decal work have been done on every skin as i misplaced some.. Eye candy on the 1957 WIP camo scheme :
  13. Thanks Guys. nice to know that these are wanted :) made 1 more tonight, the 1978 one : i'm now on 12 done and 4 to go (camo one's). This is where the real fun starts. After these done, will have to check if decals fit with time period and we shall be ready to fly them gent's!
  14. Now have 10 skins made... progress are made!
  15. Situation of the project : 16 skins have their decals placed. 1 skin is completely painted Looking to finish the other 15 skins in the next days. This is a bit more complicated then i tought :)
  16. 1955 skin done and decals placed. Thx Wrench and 7eleven for the help! 1 down, 15 to go :)
  17. The decal numbers and also the serial numbers were not a problem as they worked well. I put on each skin the roundels, flags, ejection seat signs, rescue signs so they will not be as decals. What will be left for decals is the serial numbers, plane numbers, rcaf/caf letters and squadron lettering for the early T-birds. Skins have been reworked accordingly and will do some tests tonight. If everything works fine, will only have to paint the skins and double check if there is no problems with them. 16 skins to check... quite some work ahead. Then will check if the CT-133 plane i made + skins is working well, then release :) Will surely put some pics tonight
  18. Okay then. I will paint directly on the skins what is standard and do not changed (like roundels and various signs). I will see tonight if it solves my problem. Thanks for the inputs Wrench end 7eleven!
  19. Okay Folks, need your help here :) Here is a view of my 1960 WIP RCAF skin My problem is as follow : Seems that skin can't take more then 17 decals... Whatever the skin, when i reach decal 018 and so on they will not appear. On the picture above, i should have the RCAF besides de roundel on the fuselage at left, and plane number on the right. Here is the decal entry of these : [Decal018] MeshName=fusoliera DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=T-33A/RCAF/D/B/Nosenum Position=-2.85,0.15 Scale=0.50 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal019] MeshName=fusoliera DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=T-33A/RCAF/D/rcaf Position=-2.00,0.15 Scale=0.50 DecalMaxLOD=3 path are correct, no error on typing, decal exists... so is there some sort of limitation on the number of decals?
  20. Still working on these birds... but looks like i will go for a whole plane after all as i intend to build the CT-133 (Canadair licenced build T-33). Having done the ini's part, most of the decals are placed (but still scratcing my head on 2 that goes on the fuselage and they don't want to show up), real serial are made, have tweak the RCAF roundel to have one ''old style'' for the early T-birds, etc. Will now have to paint the skins but i made real progress in the last 36 hours :) stay tuned!
  21. Not much have been done since last post, real life took over :). I worked on the decal placements and did minor changes to the skins. Anyway, I almost completed my 1955 skin : Should be able to upload in the coming week :)
  22. A little more work on the skins today. Decals placing (still some more work to do). Working on the Texture structure (patch.bmp + way to be shown in the menu). Will now have to properly paint these birds from white to metallic color and that shall be it. Still need to do the Camo one's (4 skins) + 3-4 more (special skins). 1970 1975 1978 1988 1965 1968 1960 (scheme 1)
  23. Will for sure have a look on this when i will be back home! I will also be able to provide some screenies of the skins made today. Good progress on 7 skins have been made since yesterday. Will have to work on the metallic skins, finish off the decals, edit the ini's. So stay tune for a look to what is coming soon :)
  24. Thanks for the input Wrench. It helped me :) So, only skin i made tonight is the 1956 ''navy'' one. Tried to get a more metallic finish... And a little edit on the 1956 and 1960 skins (metallic finish will replace the white one) I will have to adjust the Specular, Glossiness and Reflection values on these one's So, all in all 4 skin almost done, and 11 to go (but some will not be much complicated) Advancement on work will come in time :)
  25. I could do a few units (USAF and others) after having done my RCAF one's :) I did 4 skins this morning just to see after that my HDD where i saved my ongoing work corrupted all my files... (yeah... more hours lost there!) Had work last evening on a based template to get a more metallic/silver one. Reason, late T-birds of the RCAF where 2 tones of gray :) I came to a good results and will show you soon how it look like. Anyway, will do a bit more skinning tonight and shall be able to show you some advanced work. Planning to finish the skins up to 1968 (this means i still have about 5 to re-do, 3 to re-work). And of course adding the random serials and plane numbers (i say random, but serial will be real one's) But i'm asking myself one thing. For the numbers on the fuselages (or any other decals) do i have to only put the X and Y values or also the Z ones? Thanks for your help on this point!
