These skins represent the VAW-115 squadron of the United States Navy. The serials numbers are some i could find that really were within this squadron past and present. You will get the following skins in this package : - Unindified period (TBD) - 1991 Operation Iraqi Freedom - 2000 Era skin 1 - 2000 Era skin 2 - 2010 Era - 2013 Era Same instructions as usual: Copy the E-2C aircraft folder content to your game E-2C aircraft folder. Copy the E-2C decals folder content to your game E-2C decals folder. Open the E-2C.ini and edit the file by adding the lines from the E-2C.ini in this file (replace the XXX by number in sequence). Credits: Thanks to Thirdwire for creating the Strike Fighters series. Thanks to paulopanz for providing the E-2C model. Thanks to pappychksix for providing the wonderful E-2C Hi-Rez Skins. Myself for the decals (all done by me). Happy flights! Mario C. Frenchie1977 -

Following recent great Hi-Viz skins made by pappychcksix, i started do some templates for missing squadrons... I took the VAW-115 first cause i like the skins, but damn i am doing 6 different schemes for it :) Here is a glimpse of one of the WIP I also reworked the 4 already available (with no offense intended to those who did them). If work, family and snow storms can give me a little spare time i might do some work in the coming days (well decals are done but still need some love).- 14 replies

E-2C Skins

Last night made the decals and placements for the inner tails on skins of 2000 and 2013. I just finished the decals needed for all skins. Remaining is the placements of these which i am planning to do this evening. After having these, other squadrons should be easier :) -

Well, i can't load model in Mue's tool box as we do not have the LOD of the model so i need your help dear guru's :) Is there a way to find a mesh name cause i have some skins that need decals on engine pods and vertical stabs (the one's inside, not the external one's). A lot have been made since last post for the VAW-115, but with this information i will be done :) What will come out for this squadron : Skin 1 1991 (Operation Iraqi Freedom) Skin 2 2000 Era skin 1 Skin 3 2000 Era skin 2 Skin 4 2010 Era Skin 5 2013 Era Skin 6 Unindified Era But here is a montage of these tails -

Just found the exact same thing :) Each Carrier Airborne Early Warning squadron consists of four E-2C or E-2D Hawkeyes except for the Fleet Replacement Squadron which has more. Think my confusion was from detachment versus squadrons : Established from VAW-11 were RVAW-110 (a FRS), VAW-111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116 and established from VAW-12 were RVAW-120 (a FRS), VAW-121, 122, 123, 124. So i will made up decals and numbers for 4 planes number to select per squadron -

To be used on SF2 Mi-8T by Lazarus1177 available here : https://combatace.com/files/file/13193-pakistan-army-mi-8-pack/ These skins represent the schemes used by the RCAF on their Mi-17V-5 (Mi-8M) and bearing CF designation CH-178 in Afghanistant in 2010-2011. The serial numbers in this skin pack along with planes numbers are real one's. Some details will be different then real life RCAF Mi-17 as they are model related (no Mi-17 in the model list available). HISTORICAL BACKGROUND : Canada, as various NATO countries, leased civilian Mi-8/Mi-17 in the past for transport in Afghanistan. However in 2010, four Mi-17V5 known as CH-178 were operated by Canadian personnel and carrying Canadian markings. When the mission was over they were put in storage. Installation: Copy the RCAF FOLDER of the current pack objects/aircraft folder in your game Mi-8T aircraft folder. Copy the FOLDER of the current pack objects/decals folder in your game decals folder. Open the Textureset.ini and edit the file by adding the texture.ini lines to the Mi-8T.ini. Open the Userlist.ini and edit the lines for Canada service years. All decals are made by me. I completely redraw the panel lines and rivets. Serials are real one's. Credits: Thirdwire for creating the Strike Fighters series. Marcfighters for the Aircraft Model, cockpit and original textures. Lazarus1177 for the Pakistan Army Mi-8 Pack 1.0 Thanks to me for the redraw of the lines and paint work :). Happy flights! Mario C. Frenchie1977 -

The Canadian P2V7 was fitted with piston engines initially, although, in 1959, the Neptunes had two underwing Westinghouse J34 jet engine pods retrofitted, similar to those fitted to US Navy variants. Armament included two torpedoes, mines, depth charges, bombs carried internally plus unguided rockets mounted externally underwing. A total of 25 Neptunes served with nos. 404, 405 and 407 squadrons until 1960. Upon unification of the Canadian Forces in 1968, the Neptune was retired and retroactively re-designated the CP122, The RCAF Neptune was replaced by the Canadair CP-107 Argus in the same year. 1977Frenchie Submitter 1977Frenchie Submitted 10/01/2017 Category Other -

Thks man. It was long ago i made skins and started back lately as a hobby. Nice to know this is much appreciated! :) As a Canadian i love to do RCAF birds. I am currently working on the CP-122 (Canadian P2V Neptune). Decals are made, line, rivets. Just have to do the paint work and decal placement... still a few hours of work :) I am not able to modify the LOd files as i never did any work on models itself (might learn in the future). But i could have an eye on the CP-121 Tracker and the CC-138 Twin Otter. I might have a look at some other missing birds in the future to continue the RCAF plane choice :) I also know that Wrench have the Clunk on the board and it will be a great Cold War add-on when release!
