my two cents here about the right of way (yeah remember my RCN navigation course) Rule 13 - Overtaking (a) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rules 4-18, any vessel overtaking any other shall keep out of the way of the vessel being overtaken. (b) A vessel shall be deemed to be overtaking when coming up with a another vessel from a direction more than 22.5 degrees abaft her beam, that is, in such a position with reference to the vessel she is overtaking, that at night she would be able to see only the sternlight of that vessel but neither of her sidelights. © When a vessel is in any doubt as to whether she is overtaking another, she shall assume that this is the case and act accordingly. (d) Any subsequent alteration of the bearing between the two vessels shall not make the overtaking vessel a crossing vessel within the meaning of these Rules or relieve her of the duty of keeping clear of the overtaken vessel until she is finally past and clear. Rule 15 - Crossing Situation (a) When two power-driven vessels are crossing so as to involve risk of collision, the vessel which has the other on her own starboard side shall keep out of the way and shall, if the circumstances of the case admit, avoid crossing ahead of the other vessel. So were the crossing or overtaking? Seems another ship made a sharp turn and the other did not have time to react, BUT they should have stayed clear one from another. The military beiing the more manoeuvrab;e should have been cautious, but hey, shit happens. And military ship do not have priority by any mean, don't know from where this come from but some military ship had to give us right of way 1 or 2 times back in my course (we were on a civilian training ship)

View File Hi-Viz USN F-14 Tomcats These skins represent the Hi-Viz F-14 squadrons VF-51, VF-111, VF-124, VF-142 and VF-143 I did not included BuNO in this skin pack, except i put the correct one on the VF-124 1976 scheme. The modex series are real one's for each squadron. Some minor details might be different then real life F-14 as there was some minor changes from one block to another but i did not dig this (refering to the gun gas vent). You will get the following skins in this package : VF-51 : 1985 CAG aircraft 1985 ''Line'' aircrafts VF-111 : 1980 Same Hi-Viz scheme for every aircraft VF-124 : 1976 Bicentennial scheme (aircraft 76) 1978 Same Hi-Viz scheme for every aircraft 1987 Special scheme (aircraft 450) 1989 Same Hi-Viz scheme for every aircraft VF-142 : 1975 Same Hi-Viz scheme for every aircraft VF-143 : 1978 Same Hi-Viz scheme for every aircraft Same instructions as usual: Copy the F-14A_82 aircraft folder content to your game F-14A_82 aircraft folder. Copy the F-14A_82 decals folder content to your game F-14A decals folder. Open the Textureset.ini and edit the file by adding the texture.ini lines. Credits: Thanks to Thirdwire for creating the Strike Fighters series. Thanks to the Mirage Factory for providing the wonderful F-14 Superpak and the templates used to create this skin. Thanks to Column5, EricJ and USAFMTL for some of the original skins. Thanks to Swordsman422 who did great F-14 skins and my templates are based on his. Thanks to the one's who gave me some inputs while doing these skins. Happy flights! Mario C. Frenchie1977 Submitter 1977Frenchie Submitted 05/26/2017 Category F-14

Wanted to finish last night, but fell asleep with my 4 year old son :) Anyway i finished the tail numbers for all 5 skins. As for the skins, i made a decal for the whole tail and make the placement tonight. Then i will have to test every aircraft to see if there is a error in the numbering sequences then release the pack. Will not do the bureau numbers on the aircrafts as it's too time consuming (i passed a lot of time on skinning recently) and need to get other things done ;) So stay tuned!

Some work done tonight :) Corrected the plane numbers for VF-51, VF-111, VF-142 and VF-143. VF-124 still need to be done. As for the skins, VF-51 (CAG and LINE birds), VF-124, VF-142 and VF-143 are 98% completes. Some work to still be done on the VF-111 one... Screenies of the others skins done : VF-51 ''Line'' : VF-111 : VF-124 (proud of this one!) :

Thanks Swordsman, this is what i thought about the rainbow versus red stripes. So i'm almost done with the VF-51 too. Just have to do little tweaks on the VF-111 and getting done with the VF-124 (just have to finish drawing the Tail sign. As for the Bureau Numbers, don't know if i will do them (maybe others would love to do them if i did not). I have a great book dated from 1991 with every bureau numbers per squadrons of the USN and USMC aircrafts and helo's they had then. Maybe i will get my head in it if i have the time and heart to do so :) As for now, here is some tease for your eyes :) VF-51 CAG VF-142 VF-143

Hi All, Currently doing these 5 skins with the Early Hi-Viz Scheme : VF-51 VF-111 VF-124 VF-142 VF-143 The VF-111, VF-142 and VF-143 are done (still need some testing) VF-124, i'm doing the 1989 version and things are going pretty well (the one with two yello lines) VF-51, done but i saw on some pictures that the lines on the tails are reds and saw pictures of them with 5 colors... Is this different years or CAG/CO versus line birds? So any pictures/inputs would be appreciated in order to complete them. Thanks!

View File RCAF F-14A (TMF F-14A_82) "What If..." First, i'm doing skins for my own pleasure, but thank you for downloading this F-14 skins pack for the Mirage Factory F-14A_82. These skins represent the F-14 squadrons that might have equipped the Canadian Armed Forces if the Canadian Government have accepted to buy the one's supposed to be delivered to Iran. (which event is true). Copy the F-14A_82 aircraft folder content to your game F-14A_82 aircraft folder. Copy the F-14A_82 decals folder content to your game F-14A decals folder. I already finished the ''What-If'' skins along with needed decals. Will test tonight and see if everything is fine then upload them (6 skins in all). As for the VF-2, VF-41, VF-51, VF-101, VF-111, VF-124, VF-142 and VF-143, i might take a look at them in the next days/weeks and do some. Will have to convert my full light gray to light grey/white scheme (which is not a big deal) along with the decals (Swordsman made some great one's and there is some in the Superpack as reference so shall be pretty straightforward). I took not of your help offer Swordsman and in case of need i'll buzz you off!

Okay, i put the lazyness aside and made the line bird skins for 1982 and 1992 :) I saw also that i made a sequence error in the TailNum decals so i already corrected. Will test back everything tonight when i'll be bck home and upload version 2.0 if everything is fine. As for the VF-31 (see Swordsman422 skins) and VF-21(already exist but can't remember if it's in the Superpack or if it's Swordsman422 who did it) and don't plan to do them for the previous reasons wrote. BUT i will now work on some ''What-If'' skins and work should be straight forward as i have the template done and all necessary decals already.
