I Love MiG-17s
Canadair replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
No Gun Kill like a Gun Kill, defintely.. Man and machine VS Man and machine, flying skills and technology,, the ultimate duel in the blue yonder. While we are all passionate and fascinated by air war , or otherwise we would not be here, it could be reminded that the "extra cripsy" served mig had a living soul inside. And wheter it was a commie, an american,an arab , or isreali, or whatever,, a gun kill video (or any kill for the matter) means that in the evenign the video was shot,, someone,,parents, a wife, a girlfriend, just friends, has been crying, mourning the loved one's loss. the best place for 20mm bullets to be is in our games and in history books. -
Geniale Post Spitwulf, grazie. Forse Questo aveva riconosciuto Mattei in Bertuzzi. E per quest'ultimo, avere portato in giro il grande Mattei, deve essere stata la redenzione, ove ve ne fosse stato bisogno, dal passato repubblichino.

Lomac NOOB request help
Canadair posted a topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I was cleaning old stuff a few days ago and found a CD copy of LOMAc and FC that I ve been gifted with a few years ago. I did not have the system to run them and forgot about it Now, with a 4650 with 1gig and a core 2 duo a 2.53 and 4 gig I maybe have a laptopo to play LOMAC on Before I make a mess, can someone pelase tell me the correct sequence for installing Lomac, FC and latest patch. A list of must-have mods would be appreciated as well Thank you -

Canadair replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I quote each and every line.. can't agree more. Besides, comes the time to play and not mod, even for modders. should I count all the "toys" I have I can play for generations myself, and that is just counting 3w stuff. As a note Jane's F-18 works lovely at 1600*900 , TSH modded inwindows7. I bet the HIGH retrocompatibilyu of W7 is taking some attetnion here and there. also TK's patch after patch, while good for the sims ,, as Dave saidhas a wearing out potential. As I wrote earlier, if mods are released , that is good,,otherwise not a big deal, there are more than enough to play with I have to ask,, what?Curious,,, -

Windows Seven and Strike Fighters Weapons Editor
Canadair replied to Tantobot's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have w7 as well. I noticed the weapon/guneditor do not work if they are run from a folder inside the WOE folder. Install it in a different folder and it should run and it should work even with no compatibility set up.. -
Battle of Britain 2010
Canadair posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
Now I ve been looking into movement and target files of BOB70- My plan to make a Sov. vs UK/nato scenario. The Story is that a resurgent Soviet empire rushed trough europe, while US is still debating what to to do. Much like WWII Germany is quickly overrun also because of echonomical reunifiction crisis. some units flee to UK. Some polish and Czech unit fly in UK as well. Fench setup a ollaborationist governemt OOB Eurofighters from RAF and Luftwaffe Polish f-16 B60 Czwck gripens? (wha do they have nowadays?) Soviet Su-27SM, SU-35BM and SU-24. A few units with SU-30, and SU-25 and 39. T-72 and soviet soldiers versus UK ground untis,, what? the OOB is basically done I have almost all units and skins ready. Could be released as a pac My only problem is the movement and target files I want to USE exactly the same campaing setup for the ground war Baltika used, in order to make use of the staged campaigns system he implemented. There are some naming issues thoguh which will obviouly affect campiang; for example Caen fliegerhost (baltika's bob ) Vs caenCaen Aerodrome de champ (gepard's BOB70). It is possible to have movement/target ini file in which BOB70's naming coventions are amtching those of baltika's bob? in this way the BOB70 terrain would be able to use Baltika's BOB WWII setup in terms f ground war. At that point it is only a matter of placing units at aerodromes. -
Battle of Britain terrain for the 60th and 70th

Derk , this is the file you need.It was building and trees not forest and farms,, my bad http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=9383 (What follows has been posted in campaign and mission building as well) Now I ve been looking into movement and target files of BOB70- My plan to make a Sov. vs UK/nato scenario. Battle of Britain terrain for the 60th and 70th
Canadair replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
So just to clarify Michael.. for the France Vs UK campaign stick to the BOB'60 included For campaigns in the 70s and beyond use this one? Reason is that you wrote that for France VS Uk you used a 60s plane set because otherwise the terrain would have required too many modifications. I am really tempted to make post 2000 battle of englsnd Eurofighters and tornado VS Fulcrums Flankers Fencers and Frogfoot(s) and "Vichy" Rafale and M2000 Oh and it should be compatible with the forest and trees for Bob terrain that is here on Cace right? Thanks Michaler, Vielen danke -

Battle of Britain terrain for the 60th and 70th
Canadair replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Danke Michael Two questions Is this the same terrain included in the France VS UK campaign? and what is there stopping setting up a campaign in modern age with eurofighters VS mig and sukhois and "vichy" Rafales? -
I completely agree with you Dave. It sucked badly all over the world. Let's hope and work for the better

Out of Africa '77 & Red Africa '77 v1.1
Canadair replied to Baltika's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
I am very willing to redo my Out of Africa RED VS RED. Udaloys are screming to be used. as I wrote in readme, be advised that n order to have the campaing generate anti ship missions, (and NOT CTD) you need the ships you want to show as targets labeled as Nation=generic and type should be Cargo_ship .Otherwise when the system generates the mission it will CTD because it can't find any target ship. I don't know if that changed with Oct 08 patch but I don't think so. Alos I want to change Red merc carrier group, I used Yak141, but perhaps Su-39 in blue skin is more appropriate? Do you think we can do somethign togheter and coordinate efforts? PM me if interested,,? -
Out of Africa '77 & Red Africa '77 v1.1
Canadair replied to Baltika's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Baltika thanks for making it compatible with out of africa 1.5. I for one will enjoy such compatibility, since I love your campagins and I am your fun in that regard. Actually out of afria would benefit of an upgrade, considering also the new russian boats and airplanes. It was meant as Red hardware Vs redhrdware campaign in anti ship environemtn and had a very tricky install, but I still find it extreme fun. thereotically could be a sequel to your campaig of the '77s.. in which with US busy fighitng war on terror MADAGASCAR summoned help from rogue emrcenary ex russian fleet. Thanks again for considering comaptibilty with my campagaing in your design, I am almost flattered.. maeks me think you might have downlaoded and played it.. OH and yes to RED version please,,!, jsut a curiosity why you picked the mystere thoguh?
