WW2 WIPS
Canadair replied to Baltika's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Prop Heads Forum
I have no problem in zipping my whole install in a megaupload package. Should be less or more a 500MB ZIP. The difficult part is extracting all what is needed to make a whole in one install. Not to mention the "copyright" issues, and what is my "special taste" customization -

Baltika, sorry if it sounded like I wanted to teach you something or if I sounded arrogant. I understand time being limited for modding, seriously. As you know, I really enjoyed your BOB mod, and I am glad that finally I have been able to setu it up for patch 08. I am just looking for a simple way to share with the community. What happens is that the community is divided in three category. Modders, like you which ar eknowledgeable and provide the mods. then those that download the mod, are thankful and adapt the mod itself to their likings and need, (I tend to belong to this group) and those that don't know how to, or don't want' or can't setup good installs. Would be nice to offet this latest group an easy way to setup an install, on the other hands, this latter group could work on thier own installs a little bit. On the other hand I don't like boasting "I have a patch 08 BOB install" and not offering a way to setup. Still the very same setup doesn't came over night but after many trials and erros and experiments, therefore each one could make an effort instead of expetcing modders or advanced users togive them everything. Nevertheless I will try packing a 08 BOB, and will wait for your update. Anyway, sorry for my musing. BOB update will be for sure thrown and adpated to my install whenever you release it. I can't thank you enough for BOB I am quite happy with 109 at the moment, and I am reading the thread. Nice to have a prop-head forum..and nice to finally be able to have WWII installs working againù Thanks people. -

Canadair replied to Shadow The Deadeye's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Nothing really big. Harriers needed retweaking and so did the pucarà. A few problems and tweek needed with the ampiagn, (but not 08 related) . Works fine -
A really overlooked total conversion with a great terrain and exotic planes. but, even better! I managed to make it work on a OCT08 install, with really minor fix, mostly to the terrain for the "shimmering" problem, and the usual rebuild of the weapondata with oct08 editor. Surprising that FMs work REALLY well out of the box. As for old 0.6 baltika's BOB (can't wait for the new one!) it works lovely with an imported flightengine.ini and the new enbseries.

Well . I am still testing, but so far so good. I haven't observed any particular problems in any plane. Of course flight model is on HARD -

Canadair replied to Canadair's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Prop Heads Forum
It has been a complicated process. Insntall of SFP, and patched it. then imported the flightengine.ini from my sfp install. Becaus eI can't fly without the "bloom" I added my enviromental.ini and embseries and the d393d.dll, still from SFP1 '08. The terrain needs the upgrade in the data ini to avoid crashing of water textures, and perhaps the extraction of the newest desert_airfiled.ini, and a check of the terrain files to make sure eveything is fine with the desrt.cat file. the weaponeditor needs to be run to rebuild weapons databse. Other than that, it now works like a charme. -

Baltika, I think it is a good chance to deliver an update for the patch 08. If you want I can package everything and megaupload it.Sadly I really don't have the time to prepare a user-friendly end-user install package, but you might want to see my full install, and perhaps deliver to the community As for the 109 FM is perhaps one of the most needed. -

Thanks Baltika! Althoguh I just updated the 0.6 version to work with patchOct08. The "stallmoment" fix seems to work nice. Will the new version be for SF2 or SFP1? and feature updated FMs? Thanks again! -

Canadair replied to KnightWolf45's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Prop Heads Forum
Hey Kevin, in the aforementioned forum where they published this "fix" it said to change, //StallMoment=0.05 to StallMoment=-0.05 AND NOT -0.50 Have you found better result with -0.50 and not -0.05? I tried -0.05 on the Bf-109E-3 and flies MUCH better. Maybe soon I ll' have a working oct08 BOB install with the new embseries working.. JUICY! -
Yo, check this out! Great speed boost!

I wish it worked for me. With Vista 32 and Nvidia 9600 GT and latest drivers for my HP Dv7 laptop with this lates DLL I get: -CTD with the standard autogenrated embseries. -A white Screen with zmatt settings I acquired pureblue's and Stratos' files and will try what happen As a note. There are TWO embseries autogenerated, one in ROOT directory, one in FLIGHT directory. The active one is in FLIGHT directory I think EDIT: I discovered that this NEW dll does not like combined AA on my system, which was my previous setting. With multisampling AA it works perfectly with Zmatt's settings, but I guess will work with the others as well. I like Zmatt's though so far. the question now is evaluating the tradeoff between 16X AA multisampling and the 8Xsq I was using. -

Lovely thread. I missed most of it because I am deployed in corsica and my employer DOESNOT understand the need for a good internet for his employee. thus saying and to recap. I used a previous a version of ENBseries .dll I guess, since I got a FPD drop rather than increase. I donwloaded what was marked as the latest one in previous posts The dll goes in the root and the .ini in the flight.. correcT? -

The plunge - have you taken it ?
Canadair replied to Syrinx's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Got and bought the three of them, but can't really get motivated to move on. In between ODS, a main 52 gig install of SFP and NF4 and Wings over Falkland, and now that the WWII models are working better, I am quite happy with legacy installs. B1B and new F-22 work perfectly minus the new RWR (needs a little tweak of avionic to revert to old RWR) RWR so far is all what I find intersting in the new series. I am a little scared actually by folders of the game sprinkeld all over my computer in Vista fashion. One thing I like of TW series is being self-contained. I know there is a way to do that with SF2 series as well, but I have yet to understand how. Eventually I will take the plunge, but for now I am not intersted, yet I understand modders moving to new system. I am curious to know if the old smart weapons AI bug has been fixed, and what are the new options for the campaigns. I will eventually give a try to SF2V to start, since there is the updating pack form my friend malibu43 that will make the transition easier. -

eh Mau , solo archiTETTE. Un'altra associazione importante è l'AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) cui ero iscritto ai beati tempi dell'Univ. Ha uno stundent branch abbastanza forte in nord america e con parecchie sedi in italia. In realtà mi iscrissi all'AIAA quando studiavo ancora ing. meccanica, prima di cambiare corso
