Mi-24 Teaser
Canadair replied to orsin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Yes it is defintely possible: in the least ins eries one you can make a weapon whose "crater" lod addresses the combat squad troop: so when you release them, they appear on ground; in theroy you could also add a cloud of smoke simulating helicopter downwash: I had all my hinds in series one setup in this way: I have to admit that the lazyness in moving to series two is also due to the boredom of recreating such "install finesses" from scratch -
Operation Darius Part 1
Canadair replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Am I doing something wrong or some tiles are missing here? This is the island in front of kuwait city. All other tiles in the terrain seem to be good. Also, IHMO, another waterffect is needed. This one from high altitude is very umpleasing to the eye IMHO -
He needs to submit to a trial and be punished (if guilty how it seems to be) according to sea laws. That's it

Mods folder silly question
Canadair posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
OK I am finnaly learning SF2 No problem in setting up a mods fodler with a specific install (i.e opdarius) On the other hand when choosing campaigns in the pull-down menu I can see ALL the campaigns of the full merged installs PLUS those of OpDarius Same thing happens with terrains. It is not a big deal, but is there a way to make the campaings and terrains not belonging to a specific install NOT appear in the menus? -

SF2 November 2011 Update Available Now
Canadair replied to NeverEnough's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hang on: So i install the full monty up to exp two, patch it and then to add mods I must run an exe, and a folder is created int he saved game exe. In this folder I put the mods. If I want to do a dedicated install I copy the exe, rename it and run it and I will have a folder with same name, in the saved game folder, in which I can put my mod (for example, op darius, even a dedicated mod)So far so good, right? Now if I make another install (for example SF2 patct OCT) and then I run the exe from this new install, where will the mods folder be? since the exe name is the same it will generate another folder... ufff -

I still have not understod if it worth or not The point is that I ve taken the plunge and I installed all the SF2 series, including the expansions Then I read threads like this, and I wonder "why have I just done it"? So any advice on the patch level to apply? Not the best one, of course, rather the one that screws features less -
Top Gun: The Game Mod
Canadair replied to ShinKazama88's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
You might want to consider "sim" weapons for the top-gun mission It could be easily done with dummy missiles with no warhead; so the hist should be registered, but there hould be not target dstruction.
