Yes I ve seen that post. What happened is that your kind and reconciling reaction ignited a flame-war and strong comments which most likely will end up in having someone leave the community, ultimately leaving us without his mods, and with bittered feelings on either side. It has already happened in a few cases. Big feelings, Big feelings. Been there

What is incredible is that Craig is still apologizing for his righteous reaction to that pm. You should be the one getting apologies. On the other hand, seems that the ability of being nice, understanding, wanting to find an agreement without a fight, controlling the big urges of shooting and breaking someone's neck, well this ability is really not spread equally among mankind. Some have too much, some have too little. I know that very well.

This version of the avionic adds an horizon line and is fully SFP1 compatible. Note for everyone. I made this messy file,it is my fault, and you use it at your own risk. Give it a look, hopefully, for craig could be an help should he feel like releasing an update, and for everyone else could be a starting point for debate and further experiment. Also, what in the hell you used to compress the file? 650mb is the folder for the typhoon and the download was about 48 meg! Impressive compression! Same pictures. TWS, with no target in sight STT with meteor STT with sidewinders. EDITED: EDITED: EDITED Actually as Crusader stated, there are some "collateral effects" in having ase_circles used for tags as TWS and actual ase circles. For example, when you switch to ACM mode, you won't have any ASEcircle showing until you lock a target (i.e go in STT), and then you have ase circles even without a target locked In TWS too, the label TWS will appear, but no ase circle, again until you lock a target. (IN STT) Then (without target locked )switching to TWS won't show the label TWS, that will appear, with the ASE when you choose an MRM or SRM. I hope what I wrote makes sense Further experiment will follow. I guess this is the best we can get with the current limitations, and I am talking SFP and not WOI. To have the horizon line available in the EF2000 radar, just copy and paste Radar_HORIZON.tga form cockpit\radar of, for example, the F16A Blk10, and drop this file in cockpit\radar of the typhoon Typhoon_AVIONICS.zip -

You have to edit the following lines in avionics.ini Make sure they look like this: ////limited or not implemented functionality/// [HUD_BankIndicator] SymbolType=ROLL_INDICATOR ImageFilename=cockpit\HUD\HUD_BKI.tga ImagePosition=0.0,0.0 ImageSize=0.20 ScaleImageFilename=cockpit\HUD\HUD_bankindic.tga ScaleImageSize=0.15 HorizontalAlignment=CENTER VerticalAlignment=CENTER Scale=-40.0 MaxValue=60 MinValue=-60 [HUD_LowFuel] SymbolType=FUEL_LOW_TEXT Text=BINGO TextPosition=-0.0,0.0 HorizontalAlignment=CENTER VerticalAlignment=CENTER //[HUD_SteeringCue] <-----------------important, mark them out with // SymbolType=STEERING_CUE ImageFilename=cockpit\HUD\SteeringCue.tga ImageSize=0.055 //[HUD_Steerpoint] <-----------------important, mark them out with // SymbolType=STEERPOINT_SYMBOL ImageFilename=cockpit\HUD\Steerpoint.tga ImageSize=0.055 -

Thanks Crusader. This new system, I guess is WOI prerogative only? If I understand right, in WOI it is allowed to have text entry in the radar as well and not just in the hud, correct? -

This is what I thoguht too, but actually multiple ASE should work. you get the ase and the TWS indication. there is a STT radar screen indication .tga and I see now you meant the TWS .tga indication for mfd only , I guess. good it was not deleted, since can be put to good use! Anyway check pm, I sent an avionics file for you to check. Thanks for your attention and support! And the addition is,, tremendous, fabulous. Wait until screenshots start appearing! -

I agree with the intelligence on the forum. As for the TWS .tga, I have in the cockpit/radar/ folder, this one mode_tws.tga and in avionics file [Radar_Mode_TWS] SymbolType=ASE_CIRCLE Position=-0.60,-0.780 TextureIRM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga TextureSAHM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga TextureAHM=cockpit\RADAR\mode_tws.tga RemoveOnBreakX=FALSE ImageSize=0.15 And the [Radar_Mode_TWS] was not called in the [RadarDisplayTWS] By adding the line Symbol[21]=Radar_Mode_Tws, the indication TWS appears when you choose TWS radar mode -

Canadair replied to Bongodriver's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
yes I guessed it must have been a typo, they should come in proper order. as for symbol[18]=Radar_Mode_Tws. There is a .tga named such which is supposed to appear in the right lower corner in TWS mode, similar to the STT tag that appears in STT mode. in this entry [RadarDisplayTWS] RangeSetting=1,2,3,4,5,6 BarElevation[1]=0.75 BarElevation[2]=-0.75 ScanRate=100 ScanBeamAngle=2.5 ScanArc=30 PPI=FALSE Symbol[01]=RangeScaleText Symbol[02]=ElevationCaret Symbol[03]=AzimuthCaret Symbol[04]=TargetTWS Symbol[05]=TargetTAS Symbol[06]=TargetAspect Symbol[07]=TargetHeading Symbol[08]=TargetRangeCaret Symbol[09]=TargetAltitude Symbol[10]=TargetClosure Symbol[11]=AimDot Symbol[12]=ASECircle Symbol[13]=ShootCueTWS Symbol[14]=BreakX Symbol[15]=RMinCaret Symbol[16]=RMaxCaret Symbol[17]=AcquisitionSymbol Symbol[18]=TargetPDT Symbol[19]=TargetRange Symbol[20]=ASECircleAHM Symbol[21]=Radar_Mode_TWS <-----------------------By adding this line we have the .tga that says TWS show up in the radar screen, this line was not present in the released avionics file, wasting the nice TWS tag in radar screen I am talking SFP1 so far. and for what I experimented so far, the avionics is perfect for WOE except for the two lines to cross out in the end of the avionics file. The plane could be easily advertised as WOE/SFP1 compatible too, setting aside those two last lines. I'll experiment more By the way, brilliant idea creative to use multiple ase_circles entry. This avionics file will be a text to study. Thanks for not feeling insulted. Some people is very sensitive here, and I am trying to relax and post without the uncomfortable feeling of a crosshair on my head. Not that I ever thoguht it was your case... Thank you again -

also could it make sense to add in avionics file those two lines: [RadarDisplayACM] RangeSetting=1,2,3,4 ScanBeamAngle=2.5 //3.75bore Symbol[01]=RangeScaleText Symbol[02]=ElevationCaret Symbol[03]=AzimuthCaret Symbol[04]=VSdots //I added: Symbol[05]=ASECircle <---------------ONE Symbol[06]=ASECircleAHM <-----------TWO Please craig , don't feel insulted I am looking into the file. The idea is to make it work better and test it right? BTW the model is awesome, incredible. I guess there is no way to model the forward right amramm station as a bay for the LP pod, because of the exceeding number of stationids? -

This is catastrophic -

As in the title. I have a version of the RA-5C with canoe and everything, but with a "strap on" invisable Landing hook, whose position I can't get right and makes carrier landing impossible Any idea? Ha anyone experimented with this? -

Actually Cmpntr I was talking about the A-5 available from CA, not julhelm's, whose new RA-5 am anxiously waiting. I must have a misplaced landing hook; am not know as the best of pilots, but 10 "bolters2 in arow are too much for me , tooo Can I please have the tailhook entry for rhugovi's mod? -

The RF-111G loadout includes ECM pods, perhaps they don't belong to the missions' year? BTW the screenshots are cool, and it would be worthwhile to add a stealth entry to the data.ini of the RF-111G -

I made an F-111F mod; that updates the F-111F to a fictional RF-111G Vampire very loosely ispired to Dale Brown's books It uses works form all those modders who deserve all the credits: MF's F-16 blk10 avionics and hud. Some Wrench's nosearts ( I can't resist) Stealth skin by alfonsofondacaro F-111F modded datas (of course) by I don't know F-111F modded cockpit by I don't know Pavetacksystem mod by me (nothing special and already used in the B-57G; it allows to keep the EO sight even after all paveways are released Nothing special but it fun to fly. I dlike to release it if possible, Also it carries AHM and ARMS Two questions: @wrench: Dear Gardener of Flowers is there a way to have the name of same Nosearts in another color? MAybe Red, since Black "midnight lace" does not really show very well on the black alfonso's Stealth skin. second Is there a way to have double AHM (amraam) rail launchers? Like IRM I mean. I mean, red on black is so much better,,
