  3. F-22

Dear Dave, you could have read this one as well, in which I am not criticizing F-22, but the SIM itself and what I believe to be a major limitation of the SIM, not of modders work. Translation for this post that was in answer to others who were discussing the f-22 in this thread; the post would sound like : no no We are not demining the mod. We are criticizing the idea and the uselessness of this plane in the dynamic campaigns, siince like every modern aircraft using guided weapons, is useless in every role but air-qir the post you quoted (which was related to my fellow countrymen's comments, and it was in answer to someone else in this thread that did not know the "secret of the AI not delivering guided weapons") sounds instead like "I agree. Let me remind it can't release guided weapons when flown by the AI, making it useless in dynamic campaing: i know I am fixated but this is a big bug, and not the f-22" And I am not the only one that has this feeling. But as you can read nopw, perphaps more clearly, dave, I am not insulting your work or any work of the modder. I understand you are under he crossfire of the "rivetcounters" I understand. There is already who is saying the cockpit is wrong, the flightmodel is wrong, and obviously this bothers you. Well this is not me though I am "blowing the whistle" to Sim's limitations, not mods. I am not insulting the f-22; it is a needed airplane in nowadays fighterworld, and an excpetional achievemnt of USA technology. If anything, I am just frustated that due to SIM limitations it can't be used at his best in dynamic campaign; this is a fact. Other than that it is a great release, thank you and all of the modders; I don't think it is something to be offended about that I am frustated of the limitations that the campaing engine puts to this one and other mods Compliments,on the other hand for your command of italian and for your monitoring skill. I can't help but feeling under "special" surveillance thoguh and therefore uncomfortable, while I have not offended anyone, nor criticized mods, never demanded. IF anything only tried to make the sim more enjoyable, and learn about it. I hope you checked also the posts with baltika for example. I am constructive and not destructive.
  4. Puppies from the shelter

I, ve found this article online, and it really discuss all sort of reasons why get a dog form the dog-shelter. I ve been very lucky with this experience and my dog Oilver is th e cutest smartest cuddliest well behaved mutt that I ever saw. Take some minutes to read the article, and maybe let your kids read it. The advantages of adopting a shelter dog When most people think about getting a dog, they are looking forward to choosing a squirming little puppy from a litter of Labradors (or Poodles, etc) that are tumbling and playing beside their watchful mother. Many people buy their dogs from breeders. Getting a dog at an animal shelter is generally not someone's first choice, but maybe it should be. Shelter dogs can be just as rewarding as purebred puppies. They can be just as crazy, just as amusing, and just as loyal. Although there are some issues to take into consideration before taking home a shelter dog, these concerns should simply make you more informed about your decision. There is no good reason not to get a dog from an animal shelter! One of the most rewarding feelings is supplying a loving companion with the home that it deserves. Many of the dogs at animals shelters are not there for any negative reason. They are usually loving and well-behaved. Perhaps their last owner moved or didn't want the dog anymore, or the dog just got too big. Although when you adopt a dog it should be for life, unfortunately for the dog, this often is not the case. By adopting a shelter dog, you have the chance to make a huge difference in a dog's life. There are some misconceptions about shelter dogs that we must disprove. The first is that you would end up with an old dog that has health problems. This is not true! There are many bounding, healthy young dogs and puppies waiting for homes. In fact, the most common age for dogs to end up at the animal shelter is between one and two years old. The vast majority of these dogs have absolutely nothing wrong with them except for an owner who no longer wants them. Another fear of potential dog owners is that their new shelter dog will come with some incorrigible behavioural problem. One of the best things you can do for yourself is to take your time when choosing a dog. Ask the shelter staff questions about the disposition of your future dog. Find out why the dog was surrendered to the shelter and if it has been unsuccessfully adopted out previously. Spend time with the dog, walking outside and playing; this way you will get to know your future dog outside of its cage. Many dogs act differently when confined in a cage. Realize that the majority of shelter dogs are the most loving and loyal companions that you can find. But also recognize that behavioural problems are a valid concern. Some of these dogs do come from abusive or neglectful backgrounds and it could take a while to retrain it and gain its trust. Not all shelter dogs need this kind of work, but the more challenging dogs are just as rewarding as the rest. There are other reasons to choose a shelter dog. These include the fact that they are relatively inexpensive compared to purebred puppies. Often, shelter dogs are already vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Also, if you choose to get a mixed-breed dog, they often have fewer health problems than purebreds. Unlike Labradors, they are not at higher risk for hip dysplasia. Unlike Golden Retrievers, they do not have more instances of cancer. A mixed-breed dog can often live a longer life with fewer medical complications. Once you sit down and think about it, there are very few reasons to buy a dog from a breeder. Shelter dogs are just as loyal and loving as any other dog, and giving them the homes they deserve is incredibly rewarding. Make a difference in a dog's life; visit your shelter or go online to a rescue foundation!
  5. Brilliant Baltika. I am having huge fun Questions, again, which might answer some otther campaign issue too -I am flying Bf-109-3b, and 80% of the time I get two ships mission generated. I know I can add more wingmen, but why the system generattes two planes sorties? -Which parameter dictates if you are going to have more than one strike tasked fights in a given mission? I noticed that by raising the missionrates up to one per day activity increases -last but not least. I NEVER so far seen Ju-87 mission generated. It happens in other campaigns I have that some squasron or type of planes never gets missions. any idea? -I bombed the area RDF by Dover; missed target antenna but I had splash bomb water effect with Sc-250 bombs EDIT: just flew side by side to a Stuka formation, my mistake I am having huge fun flying the bf-109-e3b, an intersting concept, "expetcted to act as fighter after bomb precision release" somethign we have to wait fr the f-15E to do, later on. Another thing, am I wrong or there is no dive-bombing in the game?
  6. F-22

Xray e nghengo quoto ogni parola.

  8. Is there any way to have the game start in pause after the loading screen? Would be great to make yourself a coffe during loading times
  9. F-22

  11. You a follower of Occam's methods are you? Anyway I did not mean to comment r putdown your detailed historical research. I mean, if I had enemy gathering at the TACAN of the airport I fly for I would be really confused, scared and wondering what I am doing here But I guess this was Vietnam reality and what made that war so peculiar. Thanks for the historical research, that goes in the memory of those who left life and suffered there

  13. Your missions are amazing historically; I have two questions -The challenge level is low; there is no opposition. I added for personal Fun some AAA to the sites defined in targets data. I guess your choice is historically correct, they where counter guerrila operations versus hidden sneaky enemy. AAA must have been up north -Again no dounts about you historical research, but how in the hell, those blackvirgin areas, by bienhoa,, THAT close to saigon,,infested by enemies, what a cluterf*** that war must have been; really enemy at your dorrstep, and at the end of your runway Your missions are amazing historically; I have two questions -The challenge level is low; there is no opposition. Edited and deleted: My mistake; I thought it was funny, but it just depicts bad professionalism in aviation
  15. help needed

  17. Bombardamento "all antica" e consiglio letterario

no non ricordi molto bene. Poca roba. Ho visto Cloverfield.
  18. By using targets.ini and terrain.ini properly it is possible to have a campaign similar to convoy battles in the atlantic. I tested already ona smaller scale this concept. It is possible to have massive strike of bombers against convoys and carrier groups, perhaps with S-3B (that badly need a purpose, attacking subs) request. Could someone make a simple BIG terrain, only water, perhaps some patches of land east and west, nothing fancy, just room enough for two airfields, for P-3 on one side (yes sub hunting, maybe) and soviet bombers on the other. Just nothing fancy. Just to further test the idea. I really can't spare time enough to learn terrai editor. I tried. Maybe the campaign to be released in it could be an inspiration to move forward and do a GIUK gap campaign. .... any takers, please?

  21. So basically in my example, the britsquad, reaches Dover , but from there CAN'T reach Calis simply because the entry strategicnode003, relative to Calis, is not applicable to units in Dover, right? the only entry applicable would be therefore this one [strategicNode011] Area=Port of Dover ConnectTo[001].Target=London Raffinery Purfleet ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=765000.00000,657000.000000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Ramsgate ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=883000,642000 ConnectTo[003].Target=Hastings Railwaystation ConnectTo[003].BasePoint=793000,593000 Which obvioully leads to places just in UK And don't be sorry for me not understanding. You are clear, it is just my little brain Anyway thanks for all the info, they are very precious
  22. [GroundUnit017] GroundObjectType=BritSquad UnitName=19th Battalion (City of London) Home Guard ForceID=1 Nation=RAF StartDate=08/08/1940 BaseArea=London Raffinery Purfleet RandomChance=100 StartObjects=540 MaxObjects=1000 Experience=20 Morale=90 Supply=15 UpgradeType=NEVER [strategicNode010] Area=Port of Ramsgate ConnectTo[001].Target=London Raffinery Purfleet ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=765000.00000,657000.000000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Dover ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=872000,620000 [strategicNode003] Area=Port of Calais ConnectTo[001].Target=Paris Orly Airport ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=995000,335000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Dover ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=884000,623000 I know I am a pain in the ass. But I really might need those info for a campaign. Quesion: what stops the britsquad to reach dover and then paris orly, via calais?
  23. finally; I can be one of the "geeky ones" for the occasion
  24. I guess the system does not generate them in campaign, just like the armed recon mission. But should a squadron is tasked with anti-ship in its entry in campaign data.ini, and it actually gets an anti-ship mission, then the campaign CTD at briefing screen. In the least this is what I obesrved, and narrowed, and unlike the armed_recon missions which are ignored by the campaign engine? Any other idea? Of course "shipping stations" in campaign can be setup in targets terrain.ini, like one or more ships. but in this case only the ship tasked as primary objective is targetable, and not the whole convoy, again what I observed. Is there a way to make them targetable, such as the trucks in the scenary? Actually the apparent inabiliy to track at leisure in SFP1, other that primary and AAA, and SAM launchers and radar and occasional trucks spoils some fun with guided weapons any other idea or comments? for sure a "free" targeting would be a good add-on, such as "E" or "T" key scanning ALL the targets available and visable.
