Ground mapping rdr : I think I figured out that the use of avionics70.dll prevents the use of groundmapping radar. of course avionics70 is required foir the whole hud thing; initially I thought it was just the ccip to interfere with the radar but I am wrong I guess. anyone can confirn=' Cruise altitudes and overlays for laser designators PLEASE HELP WITH THIS Loading times; a BIG issue ; I think it is due to the amount of ground units which I doubled from JSFaggie campaing, adding many infantry units; could this be the cause?
  7. And the reason is GRRR that I am using kestrel cockpit, which obviousyl uses avionics 70 which I need for the hud; and therefore it is incopatible with AG radar! unless the CCIp function can be removeed

  9. Okei I have a campaign needing betatest here and some final permission to release It is for now just HarrierCampaign 2 from JSF aggie, ads for structure. I wanted to use the Forward operating bases. Anyway I added plenty of ground units Ground units: M1a1, T62, T72a, M3a1, Infantrypack (from kesselbrut), a soviet_squad I had, Brdm 2 At, brdm, Lha-1 Air units: Tiger in both versions, (revised flght model and loadouts, using kestrel cockpit) AH-1W, (revised FM and loadouts), Zeewolf ((revised flght model and loadouts, using kestrel cockpit), Mi24 and 35 (revised flght model and loadouts, with ah-1 cockpits and skinpacks) Fixed wing ;kestrel (with revisd loadout) and YAk-41 freestyle (with loadout and cockpit from the latest mig-29 sm something just released) Needs Hellfire pack fastcargo too. And Irist-T, althoguh they do really look bulk on eurocopeters, so I will experiment with mica--ir Issues that I am hoping we can deal toghter with. -loading times. ,might be due to the use of Desetharriers terrain on my low-end system. It takes abotu 10 minutes to load first mission; then the followint missions load better. Needs testing -Cruise altitudes: grr those helcopter at 9000 feet,, I tied missioncontrol.ini, but nothing -Maybe a new movement ini, not completely copied from aggie's - A GROUND MAPPING radar, which I can't seem to able to implement ,for the eurocopter and the zeewolf -maybe a ka-50, an mi-28, and apache and comanche. but this is really a wish list - and maybe a better swatter and vihr missiles models -and bloody overlays for laser designators. I can't seem to make thm appear Of course this is apatchwork; but I can see s,me potential; if all of us agree and the owners of the model I used and modified agree once more as many already did in previous posts,, we can work on this and unleash the hellfires
  10. One: is it realistic 800 knots with external tanks at sea lvel? the f-15C makes 680 tops second; wasn't there a project for an external pod with the avnger gun ? if so it is includd in the weaponpack? thanks

  15. Three easy questions which I can't find anymore in the forum -a how to get rid of the sam launch call? I.E. which edit in the spechsystem.ini -b there was a key combinations to have external view of locked targets BVR, can some one remind it to me? -c Any news on the effects of the MAX VIsibility setting?   16. Actually new, is really not true. I just like my modded Vietnamsea terrain and would like to share. It is a patchwork of the follwing works from the following authors Deuces tiles, and trees for vietnamsea Trees from Brain32 latest vietnam repaint Adapted Vietnam data for the abovementioned tilesets. Vietnam targets; includes: Target areas from the Steeltiger campaign. Target areas form the YAP freeware version (downloaded a while ago here on combatace) Other target areas by me, including truck-farms and truck convoys (static sadly) Target types to accomodate various targets required for the abovementioned inis. Requires Infantry pack (from kesselbrut) and Zil trucks pack , (whch are scattered in truck areas, but I would like to scatter more. Sam trailers aroud sam sites do work for imemrsion) and arty M-101 as wel I also would like to add a new gundata.ini with more lethal flak. (which needs more experiments; it is a file I relesed before summer) As I said , nothing is from me. All what I did was putting the pieces toghter and getting a terrain that: -generates mission directed to "more historical targets" as trucks or truck farm along hochiminh trail. -It is fully covered with tress making nap of the earth flying fun and varied. (also with helicopters) -has even more AAA; all the new target areas include AAA sites. -works particualary well with lates campaigs "Tet68" and "SteelTiger" ( to the later due to a specific movement.ini I decided to dedicate a specific terrain install ) I like the colors on deuces terrain a little bit more than Brain 32 repaint; (don't be angry please brain!) So in order to release this terrain and share the fun with everyone, and hopefully have feedback and work out some issues that might have escaped me, I need permission from all the author of the above mentioned mods. Please let me know here on the thread if you agree to a complete repacking of the terrain which might include some of yuor works. obvioulsy everything is FOR FREE. Please let me know Gabriele Will post pic of the terrain in action, maybe tomorrow

Exactly what do you meand deuces "what's amiss"? sorry, I am not mothertongue english If you mean what is wrong nothing; I just like how my Vietnamterrain is coming along with all addons from you and the other modders, and I dlike to share as a complete neat package. And yes trees are familiar, obviously they are yours as mentioned before! It was yours the first package for trees in Wov! And btw I don't have the tall trees thoguh

From an A-37 attacking NVA positions (courtesy of steel tiger beta campaing of Tetet); it is quite fun to strafe or bomb and then escape in betwwen mountains with trees under you From a B-26K gunsight attacking Sampans positions A pic from slightly above and down low again and lower: it is fun attacking vehicles and NVA or VC troops, hiding in the middle of trees, etc etc My point is that the trees scattered all over the place, combined with good positions of target areas, make for a much more fun nap of earth experience. Will post more, perhaps showing fast movers low level, or on final approach. (every pilots wonders why there are ALWAYS trees around runways thresholdS?) oh and I forgot to say that the Vietnam_sea that I dlike to relases includes also Railways stations , I think from Gepard. Or they were YAP? I don't know Can someone ask Gepard? Again, I haven't done actually; I have just put things toghter.
  20. It is just a matter of tastes; actually Brain32's TODS files are brilliant! Pics coming shortly And as for yap; well I managed to download missions and enhacements when they were on Combatace. Of course they must just pre-pre-releases. And if you recall I asked you to join YAP team in some form. Do you confirm I can release a vietnam_target that includes some of the target areas included in YAP pre-pre-release?
  21. Grrr... which parameter deals with fuel consumption? I am testing the AH-1G for the helicopter campaigns I am designing and: -a I think the gauge "fuel Quantity" goes in the wrong direction -b the helicopter has about 10 minutes endurance. Which parameters can I tweak in the data.ini to improve the endurance of the copter? thanks for the help trying updating this nice little thing
