Iraqi Air Force No.9 Squadron MiG-21PFM

IrAF No.9 Squadron was the first unit to be deployed in Syria at the October 1973 War(Ramadan War).
On Oct 6, 1973 at 16.00 the Squadron was put in alert and ordered to transfer from H-3/al-Wallid to Syria.
The transfer was complete on Oct 7, 1973 by 16.40 hours with 10 MiG-21PFMs, pilots and ground personnel at
Dmeyr and Tsaykal ABs. CO was Maj Namik Saadallah.
The MiG-21PFMs arrived in Syria uncamouflaged and were painted with standard SyAAF colours during the night from 7 to 8 October 1973.
IrAF MiG-21PFMs(serie numbers 702 to 705, 710 to 737)were from 1968 wired to use GP-9 gunpod. By the October 1973 War the missiles remained the standard R-3S.
The first batch of the much improved R-13M1(Atoll AA-2D)arrived in Iraq in 1974.

Red Thunder Armée de L' Air EC 1/2 Cicognes Mirage IIIC campaign

This campaign with some 54 missions is the version Armée de L' Air is based in the default campaign Red Thunder of 1962.
Need Expasion Pack 2 Europe for some textures and the RAF LIghtnings.
Campaign utilised DLC 003 Mirage III French Armee de l'Air, DLC 001 RNLAF Hawker Hunter F.6(60) and the USAF F-104C Starfighters coming with Third Wire AI Plane Pack 1.
Included also a loading screen for the Mirage IIIC.

Campaign utilise F-104C Starfighters of the 476TFS and 436TFS(deployed at Da Nang from Apr 20, 1965 to Nov 20, 1965).
This F-104C is available with the Third Wire AI Plane Pack 1.

Campaign reworked in mode naval campaign and included now destroyers (Gearing and Sumner class), Dixie Station and revised position for Yankee Station.
Date of deployment of the carriers correspond to first and last day in station(Dixie or Yankee) and no departure and arrival in USA.

Campaign VPAF 921th Regiment "Sao Do" 1966(MiG-21F-13 Fishbed C)
 
For Wings over Vietnam.
 
This campaign with 50 missions for the VPAF 921th Regiment cover the periode April 23, 1966 to Dec 31, 1966 of the Vietnam war.
Thas was also de first year of operations of the MiG-21 of the VPAF.
The 20 original MiG-21F-13 were reinforced from april of this year with the arrival of 30 MiG-21PF(PFV).
Together with the MiG-21, the 921th continued to operated until 1968 the MiG-17.

Campaign VPAF 921th Regiment "Sao Do" 1965(MiG-17 Fresco A)

This campaign with 90 missions for the VPAF 921th Regiment cover the periode Abril 3, 1965 to Dec 31, 1965.
Historical accurate with the main units and bases deployment by Apr 1965.
Campaign included the 20 numbers(decals)for the 20 VPAF MiG-17s and selection of photos with pilots VPAF, USN, USMC and USAF for PilotData folder.   
VPAF and the MiG-17
On February 3 1964, Lt. Gen. Hoang Van Thai (North Vietnam’s Deputy Defence Minister) ordered the creation of the 921th Fighter Regiment «Sao Dao» («Red Star») and put it under the command of Lt. Col. 
Dao Dinh Luyen. 
That was the beginning of the MiG-17’s career in VPAF.  921th Regiment "Sao Do" began the war operating the MiG-17 Fresco A, a original batch of 20 jets delivered in 1964 from Soviet Union.  After training in China this first group of pilots and jets were recalled in Vietnam and began operations on Apr 3, 1965.
