Started Pilot Training - Properly. Do I Suck ...
MudWasp48 replied to Wayfarer's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Is flying planes in WOFF much more difficult than OFF? -
How is it? Any other add on packs in production? I'd love a heavy bomber or seaplane or zepplin pack.

Fokker Scourge add on pack

Wow!!! Good detective work Andy! I like the idea of starting a campaign in 1915. Not sure how well I'll do at flying the E-class planes in WOFF, I'm ok with them in OFF, but a much better pilot in other crates. -
I flew around a bit in vanilla CFS3...OFF sure improved things. Went back into OFF HitR and everything was fine. I may install that FirePower addon to CFS3 and fly a bomber...still a tad worried about my OFF setup getting corrupted for reasons I don't understand.
-
Jim, why did you need to reinstall it?
-
You've got to hand it to the Hun's

Sweet Find What is up with the wires, possible cylinder spark wires, being bent up? Damaged engine that still runs? -
Now you have me thinking about my Firepower cd sitting in a neatly packed attic box of old games. I've thought about installing it a few times, but was afraid I'd mess up my OFF HitR . I remember CFS3 being buggy at first. Shortly after buying Firepower, IL2 was on my PC and it just seemed to run smoother and was easy to fly online for me. Then I joined an IL2 squad and forgot about CFS3 until buying OFF a little over a year ago.

Does AnKor's mod work on OFF?
MudWasp48 replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I used the JGSME version and it works nice. Colors appear bolder and more vivid with the mod active. -
I found a way to pay via old fashioned check. Where is the DVD sent out from and approximately how long does it take to arrive to the usa?

Well, Avangate is blacklisted by my bank so my bank backed Visa card won't work. My other straight up Visa credit card won't work either. Avangate sent me this option... Press the button "Offline card processing" on the link above to download the document to send it to us filled and signed by uploading it to our SSL secured server (https://secure.avangate.com/order/) or by fax at 650-963-2973 (US/Canada) / +31 84 725 1599 (International), along with a copy of the front and back of your card and a copy of your photo ID (your personal identification document issued by the legal authorities in your country). That sounds like an invite to Identity theft Is there another way to purchase the sim?

That is good info and purty screenies. Thanks! -
JimAttrill, How big is the file and what type of internet connection do you have? Olham, I bought the card about a year ago. It's a 660Ti Top by asus. It runs FSX great, which is my most demanding flight sim

That is good to know, CaptSopwith I'll try iy out on OFF -
Not really looking to upgrade CPU or GPU. How do you guys think WOFF will run for me? I must be getting forgetfull in my older years. Got the avangate to process with a Mozilla browser, forgot my bank card blocks some online sellers such as avangate. Maybe I'll just grab it from a friends house and not bother with the dvd mailing. IDK, sometimes I'm thrilled to have a dvd around in case a castrophy occurs to my pc.

...or maybe not...the avangate order process is working at a cetain point. Called their help line, was told to change browsers. I'll try another day

WaHooo!!! I was in charge on flight 2 with 4 wingmen. Flight 1 had Red Murlock and Sam Breadner leading 2 wingmen. We were tasked with patrolling freindly lines south of Lille. Fairly long flight from our field adjacent to the straight. September 16 1916, beautiful weather with scattered cumulus clouds around 8500'. I managed to stay about 1/2 mile behind flight 1 and about 500' below when contact came near the front lines. ....Jasta 2 in DIIs... ...I pulled a left hand circle to gain height and let Sam and Red make initial contact. Circled back into the DF and shot down 1 of the last 2 "airmen" from Jasta 2. Regrouped and headed on path...observed flack down low to the left and cruised over to see what was up. Turned out to be The baron, Immelman, Boelcke, and recall seeing another flyer with a name, and 3 or 4 "airmen". We had the advantage, ordered my guys to atttack and carefully watched the Baron. He broke to the lines, gained height and turned to the fight. I was diving on him as he turned and blew his engine sky high with 2 bursts from my trusty Pup. Almost collided with him. Pulled a loop, and headed back to the DF. Immelman was headed my way then but below me. I let off 2 burts that hit and pulled another loop, his engine was smoking as he invertd and looped downward. I didn't want to give up all my height advantage and dove at about 125, he pulled an upward loop and I was in perfect position to blast his nose while pulling up to angle the proper deflection. I heard screams just before his engine blew and narrowly missed my attacking dive. An enemy airman was on my tail, but my wing 3 put a couple burts into him and I looped higher to watch him dispose of the Jasta 2 airman. We headed back to the DF and found it pretty much mopped up. One Jasta 2 ariman up high facing Breadner and one down low running for his life. They didn't last long. We headed back to base and I landed, didn't wait for them to land. Good fun with OFF Always get sweaty hands and a pounding heart when facing historical aces.

I've been spending time on my pilot in jasta 2 to get him caught up to the date of my RNAS pilot. Did so and went back to the RNAS and bagged Boelcke and the the Baron while patroling enemy lines. Good Times! -

Yes, I undterstand the historical aspect of Aces... ...but what a mission! Love it when my hands sweat so much on the flight stick and throttle and my knees get twitchy controling the pedals!!!! That was one of my all time favorites. Right up there with shooting down Albert Ball.... http://combatace.com/topic/78104-albert-ball-is-angry-with-me/ -

Thanks for the info Dimus! Olham, I'm sure you are right about the names! I probably should pause the game and write down names, but it is an immersion killer for me. I'll click on labels for a brief period and that doesn't bother me
