Should I Buy Ati Radeon 9600se?
Indy_BIA replied to Smoke Eater's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I use to have a Radeon 8500 SE and it worked fine. It was a bit slower but worked great. However, check out www.pricewatch.com Click on Video Cards You can find a Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB for $126 You have to order it online but I use it a lot. It's just a price compare site. I'm sure there are others but I use this one myself. -
Joystick Advice Appreciated!
Indy_BIA replied to Danish_Squid's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I will agree that Ch Products are very good. However, if don't have a lot of money then the X45 is the way to go. I will most likely update to either the cougar or Ch but as it stands I could only afford the X45. By all means if you have the money then go for the good stuff. After all you do get what you pay for B) -

A-10 Loadouts
Indy_BIA replied to MCG_Rattlesnake's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Diceman will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the OA-10 is more for Forward Air Control/observation but I doubt if there is actually a difference in the systems of the two. As I said this maybe in correct I'm really just basing this on the fact that usually aircraft with the O label are usually observation. -
Moving Trains
Indy_BIA replied to PinchVF-124's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I don't think you can. However if you have civy traffic on and you pass a train track there is usually train cars on them. -

I actually bought a chair. I figured if I'll pay for that Track IR thing I might as well get a chair. Only $200 but it really rocks. http://www.edimensional.com/products/chair.htm

I have to agree with the Saitek X45. It's a very nice stick for the price. You won't find a better stick with as many options as the X45 for the price. If you have to money or don't care about price then the Cougar is the way to go. However the X45 gives you about the same functions as the Cougar but for a lot less. -
Lomac $29.90
Indy_BIA replied to tc223's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
The devs and publishing company have already been paid. They get paid as soon as the store places an order from the factory. The game store my roommate is the manager for actually pays about $33 to $35 for a $49 game from the factory. The stores have to mark up the price to $49 in order to pay for employee's and other store expenses. This is why usually online you can find games cheaper as it usually is just a warehouse. However, most states have what you could call tariffs in place that force online retailers to raise the price to about the same as retail stores. If not a lot of game stores would be out of business. The MSRP actually sets the suggested retail price nationwide. It really is sort of a protection for us consumers as we can look up the standardized price of the game. So if we walk into a store and some jerk has it for $90. We know just how badly we are getting screwed So my friend can lower the price on a game $10 and sell if for $39 and still make $6 in profit. However, that profit has to usually go right back into store expenses. The more you dig into business practices the more you realize just how consumer dependent the US economy is. It's actually quite frightening when you look at. -
Do You Guys Think That Using Instruments
Indy_BIA replied to Boltz's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I think it really depends on the plane you are flying in LoMac. If it's the Frogfoot then you'll need to learn the instruments. The A-10 and others can usually be flown by HUD alone even in bad weather. My advice is to learn them both B) Can't go wrong that way :D -

Seems to be a bug there or at least something strange going on. Check the offical forums there is a lot of talk about it -
Being an American I have to say that the British people do have a right to voice their opinion of Bush. If the US was dragged into a conflict that many didn't agree with or want in our nation because of pressure from the UK. You can bet there would be protest if the UK Prime Minister came. Since it's the anniversary of the JFK assassination I will borrow one of his quotes. "We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view, but we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom" Many in the UK and through out the world don't agree with us. That is ok. As Americans we didn't fight to free them from the oppression of the Nazi's so that we can tell them what to do. We fought for their freedom so that they and they alone, can decide what path their people should take. It's natural as an American to feel a bit angry and betrayed. However, thinking that the Europeans owe us something for doing what is right only pollutes the great and noble cause people like my Grandfather fought so hard for. We did what we did not because of the personal gain but because it was right. The protest were not a large percentage of Britons. Most in the UK and the world don't really disagree with what we are doing. They disagree with the way it was done. Bush did give the world the big finger and he even said that he couldn't care less what the world thought. That's what the are upset about. I've been to Europe recently and I did have a few incidents where people would call me names but it was done in more jest than anything. In France a guy called me an American pig, I called him a cowardly Frog and we laughed and had a drink together. In the end it will even out. :)

Welcome To The Lomac Skinning Forum!
Indy_BIA replied to MadJeff's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series Modding/Skinning Chat
I would've asked this in another topic but it seems i can't start a thread. Do any of you know if there will be blank templates like with IL2 released for LoMac. I asked on the offical forums but not sure if this has been answered already. -
Ah, that fixed it. I thought it was the same but I'm good now. Thanks :D

I have the same problem. I login to the forums fine but on the main page I login and it doesn't see me. I've tried taking cookie restrictions off and still doesn't work. Don't worry about trying to fix it if it's hard to fix. I don't think I'm missing out on not being able to login to the main page am I?

Like how to fly as you did in your last Video :D So please don't leave there is plenty you could teach people that do like your help. -
Just Picked Sfp1 Up
Indy_BIA posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I just picked up the game after hearing a lot of good things about it. Was wondering with all these add-ons what are your favorites or the best ones out? -
Ah ok. I thought more than one weapon jammed. If they were lost first thing is either stop. But then you make yourself a good target. So either stop or just turn back in the same direction you came. Air support could be there depending on how long the gun battle took place and if there were any in the area. Also, a lot of commanders are not willing to divert air from more important objectives to help out a tech crew. It's a sad fact but it happens. My unit was under heavy fire during the retreat in Lebanon in 2000. They simply left us to fight for ourselves. It makes you bitter but there isn't much you can do about it
