    This site looks good and i want to thank Combat Ace for their kindness in allowing Winder to create this. I look forward to many happy hours here. Edit - just noted i'm a new member- though I've been at OFF a lot longer than some. No big deal -lol

    Hello I came to look at the new OFF forum, being a sim I like. In the FE gallery I've seen some nice photos, especially of very good looking terrain. Then i saw mention of FM mods etc etc So, having a copy of FE somewhere, I wondered if i should try it again, so i looked at the stickys and I am finding difficulty as to where to start to get an up to date install. I see mention of Nov 2008 update,( haven't got a clue what that is, or where to get it) :Pete's FMs etc, but I don't know from where to download these things. Some of the stickys seem very old. It would help if I could see something to tell me what to install after the original disc FE and where i obtain it from. Such as 1. Install the disc 2. Download ???? from here and install - .then this from here and install ; then this etc. 3. To change the planes FMs download Peters FMs from here 4. to change the terrain download ?? from here. I'm sure others as well as myself would appreciate an up to date instruction sheet along those lines, as at the moment, it is a bit confusing as to what is needed (and what has been superseded) for the best play of this sim. I know it isn't easy to get into the latest version of a TK sim: I had Strikefighters and if you stayed with it, modwise, it was straightforward and made such a difference to the OOTB version- but coming late to it got this old head whirling a bit. -lol. Hoping some kind soul can assist- thanks

    Yes, this news has really started a debate. There is no mission builder- it seems we'll ( well other than me and Jedi master ) will have to buy missions separately. No news for ages from the devs- now this. First reaction is No thanks. I'll do a lot of reading of posts from those who do ( eventually ) fly it before I buy anything. But against what you get from Over flanders field - best sim of all -, I can't see this KOTS or whatever doing much at all. If any of you guys were counting on this KOTS as your WW 1 Sim, and you haven't yet encountered Over flanders field, then have a look at the Sim Outhouse website and forums . You'll be very pleasantly surprised.

  8. What I would like to do is edit the waypoint heights in the planning of a mission. When i start , say, a close support mission, I look at the planning map and the Initial point height is 1600 ft. How do i make that higher.? The reason is that if i fast forward to that , sometimes I crash as i come back to real time- i suspect because i am too low. If I came back into my waypoint at say 3000 ft , then i doubt i would crash coming out of the autopilot. How can i change that 1600 value? TIA
  9. I'm having problems with paveways in particular, and to some extent with mavericks. Mavericks work where i have a TV screen - eg phantom. In the Jaguar it deploys but they is no screen, not even the "one in the corner" of the screen. Paveways are the real worry. I cannot deploy them from any aircraft. I use a weapon view and where the weapon HAS been deployed, I get to see it . It seems, no view means the weapon has not deployed ( and a little time later there is no "Bang" either - :) So, when the primary ( or any ) target comes up in red in the bottom right of screen, I padlock to it and on approach, still padlocked, I deploy the Paveway. But nothing happens. All other weapons ,it seems, do deploy. This happens on all aircraft- I have a large selection as I have NATO Fighters 1 and 2 installed. Advice please would be appreciated TIA i
  10. Came back to SFP1 via Edwards Korea download-therefore deleted stock aircraft as per instructions. I have now got Phantoms in the Euro terrain running OK, as well as the original desert running OK. I downloaded the DRV terrain which runs OK in single missions.. I DL Rolling Thunder campaign which shows up in splash screens etc and all seems well until I press Fly then I get a CTD. I wondered if it was because i don't have the planes installed that the campaign uses ( F100d and F105D come to mind _ Looked in add on aircraft ,can't find F100) How do i get to the planes in the original CD, can't seem to find an aircraft folder? Or am I on the wrong track completely ? Please advise. TIA
  11. I am flying the add on by Edward, and it is great. I did a close air support mission with naplam loaded but I couldn't select it to deploy it.. I had pressed the \ next ground weapon key several times but it didn't come up. Any suggestions please Don't worry - seems OK now
