What a brave man! Smokes at the controls of the airplane! Of course, Hubert Latham, one of the pioneers of aviation, lit cigarettes right in the air, but this is still the exception rather than the rule.

I understood you. In this case, you only need this program, as mentioned above. Hex-editor_XVI32.rar -
Does this mean that we will have Ansaldo SVA.4 or A.1 Balilla? Or maybe a new "spider" with a "little coffin"?

For example, such a terrible pirated program like 3D Object Converter. But Mue's LOD viewer is better. However, to convert the model into a LOD file, you MUST need a 3DS Max with the Third Wire Objest Exporter plug-in installed. -
Thanks for putting it out! This is another great work you are doing in equipping the Corpo Aeronautico Militare with stuff we don't have.

Perhaps an error has crept in when downloading a file? I think you just need to reinstall the SAML S.2 again, removing the current version of your plane.

KJ-1 rotordome LODs
Crawford replied to UllyB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hi UllyB. Apparently, these distant LODs simply do not exist. Maybe you don't need them at all? Simply edit the INI file, increasing the range of the main LOD file. -

Thanks for the support, friends. I reviewed my yesterday’s link and found that I had dropped some wrong files there by mistake. So I uploaded an updated version. The skin of the 19th KAO represents a Dux-built aircraft, so the corresponding fuselage file was added. I also corrected some of the flaws found in earlier versions of the "Dux" and "3rd KAO" skins. For example, the problem with 'leuvers', which I mentioned above, has been fixed. Now the Dux skin is ideal for both Nieuport 17 and 21 (the folder "Dux 80HP" was added especially for it). Also slightly improved the skin of Kozakov's airplane and the skin of the Shanghin's airplane was significantly reworked. You can download updated files here: https://oldbrowser.files.fm/u/g8dyur7r

Thanks, but I just used your skins and templates.

Hello, all the brothers-at-wings. I present to you a small selection of skins for a wonderful Nieuport-17 by Geezer. This is my first experience that I decided to publish, so please do not judge me very harshly. I do not think that this work deserves to be laid out in the Download section, but I hope someone will like them. In any case, all the credit belongs to Geezer, since I just used his works. So, what's in the archive? The "Dux" folder represents you the most correct type of the Russian Nieuport-17, built at the Moscow Dux Plant. The specific Russian roundels - a distinctive feature of the Dux-built aircraft - were applied in 14 positions. This generic scheme is also well suited for the Nieuport-21, although it needs a small correction (the 'leuvers' drawn on the sides of the aircraft and the elevator control wires do not match). The following three folders represent the 19th Air Squadron (19th Corps Air Detachment or 19th KAO) of the 1st Air Combat Group (1st BAG) - perhaps the most famous aviation detachment of old Russia. 1st BAG fighters had no marked external differences as far as markings were concerned, but the scull of the unit emblem was slightly different on each individual aircraft. A pair of Nieuport-17s represented a staff flight. Capitan (of cavalry) Alexander Kozakov, Commander of a 1st Air Combat Group, flew on a French-built Nieuport-17 in Summer-Autumn 1917. Kozakov’s assistant, pod’esaul (Cossacks sub-Capitan) Shanghin was using a Russian-made aircraft at the time. Since Shanghin kept aloof from his command duties, the actual commander of the 19th Air Squadron was Boris "Bob" Huber. In the "19th KAO" folder is the standard skin, typical of the aircraft of the 19th Air Squadron, where there were aircraft of both French and Russian production. The rudder bore the “Adam’s Head” - the emblem of the 19th KAO. This generic scheme can also be used for Nieuport-21. Finally, the "3rd KAO" folder contains an interesting paint scheme of another Russian aviation unit. It correctly represents the aircraft built in France for delivery to Russia. The Indian’s head was the emblem of the 3rd Air Squadron (3rd Corps Air Detachment). The serial number is fictitious; the colors of the squad emblem are supposedly given. All you need is to simply place the unzipped files in your Nieuport17c folder and start the game. New skins will be available for selection in the Loadout menu. https://oldbrowser.files.fm/u/ga6a2ywd

That's right, "happy new year." Since this is a postcard of the beginning of the 20th century, the inscription on it was made according to the rules of Russian pre-revolutionary spelling. Taking this opportunity, once again I congratulate everyone with the new year)

Great news under a new year tree! I'm glad to see you again, Geezer!

Yes, this is a really cool model. But, unfortunately, it has quite strong differences from the prototype, except for the name)) At least, the gunner needs a windscreen.

Are FE1 and FE2 identical for add-ons?
Crawford replied to alexis99's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
No, Geezer has no such planes. All his models work fine in FE1. Just some of them need a small revision.)) -

In December 1918, the Czechs received 23 former Austrian Anasals, which were distributed in the 2nd and 3rd aviation regiments. The Anasals were used until 1921, after which 11 least worn-out airplanes were transferred to the aviation school. There they were used until the summer of 1923, after which they were finally written off. But several Anasals were transferred to the engineering school in Brno, where they used as flightless educational supples until 1942! It is noteworthy that the only surviving Anasal is also located in the Czech Republic - in the National Museum of Technology in Prague. -

This is absolutely excluded. The Yugoslavs didn't have any Anasals! Omega is an out-and-out liar)) As for the decals, it is obviously based on this photo. But there are no identification marks of Yugoslavia! The picture shows a plane belonging to the aviation of the Armed Forces of Southern Russia (by general Denikin). This aircraft fought at Tsaritsyn and crashed in the summer of 1919. The plane of the number of Anasals built by order of the Austrians, but never taken out of Odessa. Just the balken cross was painted over with white paint first, and then Russian roundels are painted on top of it. Any paint becomes more transparent with time - that is how such a funny effect of “x-raying” has turned out)) -
In January 1918, there were 35 Anade/Anacler scouts and a small number of Anasals in the Ukrainian registries. All of them pass into the Ukrainian hands "by inheritance" from the tsarist aviation. Subsequently most of these airplanes either fell into disrepair or were captured by the Bolsheviks. None the less even in 1919, several Anasals were in the list of the Ukrainian aviation. But, unfortunately, we hawe no photos of these aircraft with Ukrainian identification marks. Most likely, they continued to fly with the old Russian roundels. This may seem strange to you, but none of the Ukrainian governments that succeeded each other in 1918 did not use aircraft plant in Odessa. But the Austrians are interested in Odessa airplanes and took control of the production capacity of the Anatra plant. On April 10, 1918, 4-hour flight tests of the aircraft by Austrian specialists took place. Two days later, on April 12, the aircraft was adopted by the K. und K.aviation under the designation "Anatra" C.І. On May 5, the firm received an order for 200 such aircraft with a deadline of August 15, 1918. The Austrians managed to take only 66 airplanes out of Odessa, the rest were either destroyed (on June 28, anarchist workers burned about 20 airplanes already received by the customer and ready for shipment to Austria-Hungary), or remained at the plant. When the Interventionists landed in the city in November 1918, they discovered at the Anatra plant 123 (or 134) Anasals. Part of these aircraft was later sent to the formation of the Denikin's Russian White Army. In the future, the power in Odessa several times passed from hand to hand, and each time the new "masters" replenished the fleet of their aircraft with Airplanes from factory stocks. But the production activity at the Anatra plant was completely frozen. The figure below presents various options for the identification marks of Ukrainian aviation of 1918-1920. On April 30, 1918, by the order of the aviation inspector of the Ukrainian People's Republic, an identification mark was installed - a black trident on a white square. But for various reasons, in 1918 very few aircraft received new identification marks. These identification marks can be combined with blue-yellow stripes or with blue and yellow squares (in Galician aviation). The black trident as a symbol of Ukrainian aviation existed almost all the time of the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people in the early 20th century. The presence of any other signs, such as blue-yellow circles or yellow tridents on a blue field, is not confirmed by any documents. This is probably a late falsification of immigrants. However, it can be argued that the question of the Ukrainian identification marks of the beginning of the 20th century is not fully understood, since there are not enough photographs and documents.

Um ... Did Yugoslavs have the Anasals, and even in camouflage? This is probably from the category of alternative history?
