Yes you are right. This later version of the aircraft - I-15bis (aka I-152) was manufactured in the autumn of 1937. In addition to China, I-15bis were sent to Spain (20 copies), which appeared at the end of hostilities. Part of the remaining aircraft in Spain, among which were I-15bis, after the defeat of the Republicans joined the Franco aviation. As for the I-15 cockpit, a pilot's seat is designed as a cup for placing the rescue parachute and could be adjusted for growth using the handle located on the right. On the most aircraft I-15 didn't have armored backs - to put duralumin backs, covered with leather pillow with hair padding. The instrument panel slightly inclined and curved. Top guns visibly protrude from it closer to the pilot. Handles recharge directly on the machine guns. Reloading guns bottom by cables connected to the handles located on the sides of the seat. In the area of the left handle reloading was a lever for dropping bombs. On four holders DER-32 under the lower wing can be suspended to 40 kg bombs (4 P-7, or 4 AO-8 or AO-10). In the conduct of military operations in Spain took bomb load more. Thus, additional bomb racks were mounted under the center of the lower wing.

May be, it will be useful to you.

OOPS! I beg your pardon! In reality, I meant ExhaustEmitterName= InlineExhaustEmitter I am terribly sorry!
-
Yes, it is essential correction. However I use ExhaustEmitterName=CleanExhaustEmitter I don't know, as far as this historical, but it is looked much more beautiful. An aeroplane left in the air a light white cloud, instead of a ribbon of white steam. I think it is better to use a TracerSmokeEmitter effect to simulate a fuel leak or leakage of coolant.

Well done! Only too happy! Thank you so much, Stephen! You're an absolute Hero of labour! Whatever you undertake to do, you always keep your word. Also, huge thanks to everyone who gave me a lot of good advice.

Well, I installed a revised DATA for the Halberstadt D5, as you advised. To my regret, visually it did not affect its damage model. As before, it's impossible to make holes into the wings or empennage of this aeroplane. Any files "HOLES.TGA" appear only at the one part of the airplane skin, and nowhere else. Probably, VonS also did not pay attention to it.
-
Thank you, Stephen, It was a good reply! Okay, I'll find it. It's no bother at all for me. I would like to hope, that it will help. I haven't thanked you for what you did for me. I think I've given you a lot of trouble. I humble apologize. Much obliged.
-
Hi, Stephen! Of course, I considered it. Hit Box revisions by Nicholas Bell for the Halberstadtt, I applied for a long time ago, but it not affected at the wings, alas.
-
P.S. By the way, I've been doing in the last few days, exactly what you write. I replaced and renamed various "holes", resize BMP and TGA textures, etc. No result! On the HalbDV running only the "holes", about which I wrote above. The extracted files (SE-5A_1_holes and others) not working too. I think that here we are faced with a programming error in the aircraft model. Of course, I could be wrong ))
-
Well, you have said enough. Only two skin maps, sir. Accordingly, there are only two textures "holes" (only one of them is working, although incorrectly). Maybe it's really easy... And yet, I'm not a modder, but only an amateur. What I'll can do, that I'll do. I merely asked for information, how to do it. I'm very sorry you're caught in the middle, sir. Thank you. I am in your debt.

Hello, gentlemen. After several days of experimentation, I'll sum up the situation. First, the section of the fuselage from the cockpit to the tail - it is only part of the aircraft, which is capable of displaying the "holes". And, second, to my extreme surprise, the “holes” behave more than strangely. That is, if you shooting point-blank at an Halberstadt , it does not mean that you can see on his fuselage the result of your actions. Despite all my tricks, any visible "holes" are not presented on the wings. Only the Creator knows why. Probably, initially assumed more detailed model of damages which would include separate "holes" for the left and right wings, for the top and bottom wings? In any case, my very modest knowledge is not enough at this point.

Thank you, quack74, for your detailed reply! What a remarkable thing! If it weren't for you, not a damn thing would get done. Honestly, I would never have guessed myself if you had not set me on the right path. I took your advice and got the same result. Yes, wings and tail unit still look intact. But now I know in what direction to move to the "holes" for the Gladiators. Cheers.
-
What about it? Nobody knows anything? That's a pity. The situation is more serious than I thought. None of my attempts to make a visible 'holes' have not met with success. Even the substitution of the TGA files that are successfully working with other airplanes in the game, can't get it to work. I'm very grieved…

Engine reliability for prop planes?
Crawford replied to quack74's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
Exactly. That's what I meant. But modders will never be seized of the matter, because it is the intellectual property of the developer. TK did not give permission to edit the system code of the game -

Well, I don't doubt that in the least. You seem to know this part of the game very well. Unfortunately, the game's code for engine controls is poor and rudimentary. Maybe something hidden in the .dll files, but we don't have access to them... Be that as it may, you had made good progress. -

How’s it going? What is the results? You may have to take into account that most of the FM is created by the moderators for the Normal difficulty. Also computer fly on the Normal difficulty (I mean the Autopilot and AI pilots). Because of this, when you fly on a Hard mode, there may be glitches. In addition, in this game there is no way to embed sounds for new developments - such as the sound of the engine failures, for example. Anyway, I don’t need to tell you, you know yourself! -
Hi, guys. Somebody has tried to make the correct 'holes' for this plane? I tried, but to no avail. After any hits D.V looks safe and sound. Even after a good thrashing the plane looks as good as new. Apparently, here there is a problem not only in the alpha-channel... The same question also applies to the Falcon and the Gladiator.
-
Yes, you are right about Spain. But 24 fighters, ordered in August 1937 by the Chinese, were the largest party D.510C sent abroad. Since the summer of 1938 two squadrons of the Chinese Air Force fought on these aircraft against the Japanese invaders.

Engine reliability for prop planes?
Crawford replied to quack74's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
Thank you, dear friend! I was going to ask the same question, but quack74 asked first. )) I noticed that the engines of our aircraft are always reliable. I think that this is due to the fact that FE based on the jet sim engine. Of course, a modern jet engines is much more reliable than a piston engines of the early 20th century. Flying in FE, I never could not cause a sudden engine failure. Any sharp maneuvers or long flights at full thrust. A motor never failed, never overheating and never caught fire. He did not even sneezed or faltered. It is obvious that the behavior of the engine in the game is not very realistic (it's a combat game, a light sim and so on). But I thought that into the game should be the engine to overheat, at least. Because the jets are also prone to overheating, and therefore, in the SFP1 engine may be 'hidden' such possibility. -
A very good news! It's also in my own interests, by the way. Thank you and Stephen1918

Nice in-flight pictures!
-
Tremendous impression! But I am afraid that you make accessible this plane to the FE2 owners only, while a scores of people who use FE/FEG (XP OS) will stay empty-handed.
-
Wonderful! Honestly, you dazzle me.

It's a great pity. These unexpected news plunge me into sorrow. The tears of my eyes...
