  1. Oeffag built Albatros D.II

Reviewing my collection, I again found this photo. As you can see, you and I were on the right way.)) With your permission, I'll leave it here.

I understand you. This award is quite worthy. But I mean that in Tsarist Russia the Orders was awarded to officers only. The soldiers never awarded the Orders. (In Russia, as in Europe, there are differences between the status of the Orders, Medals and Crosses). Nevertheless, I congratulate you on your well-deserved reward! By the way, my protagonist in the game gets the award mainly posthumously.
  3. First Eagles ScreenshotsThread

The feldfebel was awarded the Order (of St. Vladimir or anyone another)? In the Russian empire? Ain't it awful?
  4. Gladiator

Please tell me how can I fix this? I have the same problem - not only with CR-42, but also with a new aircrafts by the A-Team.
  5. What do we need?

Thank you, Geezer! But in this case my situation is hopeless. Even download 100 MB - is a problem for me. I have a very slow internet now .
  6. What do we need?

I understand you. I have a similar problem. I got hold of a DVD with the program Autodesk 3DS Max 2010. But the trouble is that for this version of the program there is no TW exporter...
  7. What do we need?

It seems that your Halberstadt D.II looks better than the one that already exists in the game. Of course, make it, if you have time. Your other work would also be interesting.
  8. What do we need?

Halberstadt D-II you say? Very interesting. And where can we see it?
  9. Oeffag C.II

I especially want to mention a very nice feature - at a positive overload the rear edge of the upper wing noticeably vibrate! IMHO, this is a very realistic look. P.S. Let me know what are your future plans for the moderation of the game?
  10. Oeffag C.II

A great gift for the New Year. Of course, I'm a little sad that this is not a fighter, but I got a very realistic target for my guns. Thank you, Stephen.
  11. What do we need?

It is absolutely easy. In Download section there is a model of the SPAD-XII. You can download it at any convenient time. As to the Euler, it is quite enough to create a German skin for existing models of the Nieuport-17 (and, probably, to change instruments in a cockpit).
  12. What do we need?

Sorry, I forgot about RAF F.E.8
  13. What do we need?

I'm not happy about this, but realism is realism - there's nothing we can do... :) A really good front visibility was only one with the Airco DH.2. All other fighter-biplanes the survey was worse. Anyway, the front visibility of the Roland D.II was not worse than many other fighters of that time. Hansa-Brandenburg D.I, Aviatic Berg D.I, Phönix D.I - their pilots just had to be put out to at least see something ahead. In our game it is difficult, but - 1. The talent of a fighter pilot is the ability to predict where enemy aircraft will be in the next moment. 2. I use the realistic head movements, so when maneuvering front visibility sometimes appears. :) 3. There is such a thing as a wiew from outside the cockpit. 4. The Halberstadt D.II has exellent front visibility, isn't it? I love this airplane no less than the Rolands. However, the Halb.D.II that is in the game, made at the level of 1995 and does not correspond to the level of FE!
  14. What do we need?

I will try to complement the wish list. A two-seaters - that's fine! But most players prefer to fly on the single-seat fighters, considering a two-seaters only as a targets. IMHO, the game also needs the Halberstadt D.II fighter. Because that D.II, which we have now - it looks horrible. Especially in comparison to the Halberstadt D.V model by Geezer, which leaves a very good impression, despite the shortcomings. Hereinafter. Thanks to Stephen1918, we already have a very good model of the Roland D.II. Now, it would be logical to make the Roland D.I model. This aircraft had a different cooling scheme than the Roland D.II. This means, there will be no misunderstandings about the drainage tube of expansion tank! :) Of course, it was made a small number of these fighters, but they are really involved in the fighting. In FE there are even more exotic airplanes.

Muchas gracias, ojcar! All is very detailed and clear. Thank you for taking the time to me. And once again I'm sorry for your trouble.
  16. Armchair Aces updated!

Saludos, ojcar! Sorry for the question, but whether you know how teach the planes in FE to enter into a spin? I remember that in SF1 there was no spin. In the new games by Third Wire a spin has not appeared also. When you pull a control column to yourself - the plane is softly pancaking! At the same time, some planes (only some!) represent a quite realistic spin. Probably, this bug can be corrected for all other planes? It is necessary to correct some variable parameters, which influence behaviour of the plane as a result of loss of speed, isn't it? I shall be extremely grateful to you for any help.
  17. SPAD 11 - WIP

Good work, Stephen! Thanks. Whether enters into your plans to make for the SPAD-16 a moving aileron pushrods? These parts moved in reality. Pay your attention how it is realized by the stock SPADs in FE.
  18. Roland D.IIa

How many text, Heck! I hardly has managed... Well, you display a very touching modders solidarity. It is pleasant, but... Why are you looking for a problem where there is no problem? In one of my top comments I already have written about it - I demand nothing from anyone on this site! I wonder how I can get someone from the modders to do something he does not wish to do?! Therefore I simply speak - you have made so, but actually it was in another way. And how this information will be used (or will not be used in general) is not so important. Yes, of course, I would like so that these corrections were made, however affect it I can't by no means. And that's all. May The Force be with you!)
  19. Roland D.IIa

Post factum I continue a theme of a dranaige pipe of the radiator expansion tank of this airplane. It is a pity, that I couldn't show it to you earlier - then your model of the Roland D.II would be even more authentic (realistic, I mean).
  20. Armchair Aces updated!

You are right, of course. Yes, I quite understand that 'the WWI planes can't reach such accelerations' and so on. I not a full idiot. )) But I meant that in FE the Roland D.II (for example) at dive develop a speed of 400 km/h (!). However, if you move vigorously the control column forward or backward, occurs neither the blackout, nor redout. While the He-51 (for example) if to switch off its engine and to speed up to 250 km/h and then to push the control column away from itself - the redout is guaranteed. That is why until yesterday I was confident that Gs settings are hidden somewhere in the DATA.INI. It must be admitted, I was mistaken. For my part it was a very stupid idea - to try to insert these effects into FE. Moreover, I knew that the developers of RB3D err against realism. Thank you for help and your patient explanations. And sorry for my bad English.

Once again thank to you. Now I have understood, where it is necessary to search. And even earlier, than I have read your last message.)) [PilotGLimits] As far as I understand, the overload effects will work after acheivement of these parameters. However it is strange - these effects work on the late planes (Bulldog or I-15, for example), but do not work on the WWI planes - with identical speed of the aerial maneuvers! I will need to deal with it.
  22. Armchair Aces updated!

Thanks, ojcar. But... what it was? After short test it is possible to tell, that the gameplay essentially has not changed. The buildings-phantoms and trees-mirages have remained, the pilots show unprecedented nobleness, the 'redout' and 'blackout' do not occur... On the whole - all as in usual FE.
  23. Armchair Aces updated!

Gentlemen, allow me to digress. Can anyone of you tell me what parameters in the aircraft DATA.ini adds to the game an effects of overload? I mean the 'redout' and 'blackout'. These effects, as I found out, is contained in our game, but they are disabled for the WWI planes. I really want to activate these effects for the aircraft, which I 'piloted'. So it was in RB3D, though in a slightly exaggerated form.)

Yes, you're saying the right things. I suffer a many lacks of FE, knowing about its advantages. But it does not mean, that I should be pleased with it and claps one's hands, exclaiming 'it is not a bugs - it is a features!' Nevertheless, the ground objects-'ghosts' is the biggest drawback of the game. No other serious simulator is not possible to fly through the walls and trees. For example, Il-2 also is 'aerial combat sim', but there is no such nonsense on the ground! Even in the good old shooter 'WingsOfWar' an aircraft inevitably gets damaged or destroyed, if it touches the trees. Probably, the FE's AI thinks that all the pilots of the Great war had advanced magic skill. It is a pity that we can't convince the AI to change his mind. Also we can't get AI-planes to show more agression to the damaged opponent... But we can do many other useful things.

Hello, Buddy. Yes, all this is old lacks and bugs of the game engine, which are pulled from the times of SF. Probably, they cannot be corrected without intervention in the gamd root files. Otherwise, someone would have already done it. Besides, the game engine is hopelessly obsolete. Sadly, but truth. It's also not pleasant to me, that the damaged planes quietly flies home - sometimes even gaining altitude! How do you like the plane, which land on a forced landing, and rolling back home, passed through trees and buildings. Such situations generally look idiotic. In both cases the opponents does not react in any way to it, does not aspire to finish the injured machine, as was actually. As soon as the smoke will appear, all enemies here lose any interest to the victim. What a noble action! )) Actually, to shoot the injured opponent, while it will not fall on ground is there was a norm... But we shall wait that will tell dear ojcar.
