Oh, yes. If you're talking about models from Bwf, they are really made of very rough, as if the axe heved, skins of very low quality, while the FM is such that it is simply impossible to fly! However, Halb. D.III, made by A-Team, looks pretty good and flies not bad. But before this model it too far, of course.

I'm sorry. I made a mistake and did not have time to edit it. Of course, Roland is the brainchild of the company LFG (Luftfahrzeug Gesellschaft), not LVG! Yes, this topic is not about Roland, but once I started talking about it, I should be precise. :) The so-called "curvature" of which we speak, is simply the aerodynamic fairing, made in order to encure a smooth transition from the lower wing to the fuselage. (When created Albatrosses, their constructors are not bothered by this, although the streamlined they paid a lot of attention.)

Two more Rolands, who got in trouble. Visible characteristic curve of the lower wing.
-
Such curvature of the lower wing was distinguished not only Halberstadt designs. Look at LVG Roland D.IIa, for example:

Modern Ukrainian Medals Pack - October 2015 Update
Crawford commented on Capitaine Vengeur's file in Menus
By the way, if it is of any interest to you. The "tradition" to attach the crossed swords to the ribbon of the Order of Merit comes from 1992. At the dawn of Independence "Honorary Insignia of the President of Ukraine" for several years was the only Ukrainian decoration. The Statute of the insignia provided an opportunity to reward the soldiers too. In this cases, was added to medal ribbon a small swords - although the Statute and the Discription is not provided! After appearing in early 1995 a special awards For Courage and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, warriors practically ceased to award "Honorary Insignia". Later, in 1996, this is quite a beautiful sign was renamed to the 3rd Class of the new Order of Merit. Only the manufacturing quality has become much worse... -

Yes, you are right. The Order for Merit - theoretically - could be handed over to military officials (like some other "civilian" awards). Anyway, in a year of war such awards was not... Yes, on the blocks of the Order for Merit 2nd and 3rd Class can be accomodated swords (but 1st Class and Star of the Order remain without swords )) Modern award system of Ukraine is not suited for war. In the Statutes there is no detailed specification of a merit, which is awarded the appropriate order or medal. Blurring the relevant paragraphs of the Statutes is causing mishaps and even abuse... But, in principle, if you mean an alternative history, much of what I'm nitpiking, can be taken as an assumption! )) -
Modern Ukrainian Medals Pack - October 2015 Update

Thanks, a very nice Pack! Unfortunately there has not been without "branchy cranberries")) For example, the official name of the Ukrainian state it's just Ukraine, without any additional words. Accordingly, the head of state called the President of Ukraine (PRESYDENT UKRAINY), not "the Republic"! The State Awards are given by the Decree of the President of Ukraine (rather than "Administration"). Next. Order For Merit is a civilian award. And starley (senior lieutenant), he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskiy 1st Class - it's all a fake! )) -
Thanks, it will be great! Perhaps, in order to fly this wonderful plane, I would go over to the enemy - perfer the crosses on the wing! :-))
-
The farther the more impressive! When you have finished your Falco, it will not be almost equal in the game. And if you take the time to complete all planned by you (including models for WWI) it will be great. Thank you!

Anyone want to try out my Verdun re-dux terrain?
Crawford replied to quack74's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
Forgive me for my indiscretion, but what the whole thing was over something? With the Morane-Saulnier Type P seems to be clear - if we see it, wery long time...) But as far as Verdun re-dux terrain - what are the results of these 'tests' and when you will see the fruit of your labours? I like this game and I'm really interested. -
I beg your pardon! One of the links is wrong. I had tu manually enter the links and I made a mistake. Should be so: http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_10144.html http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_954.html I hope you find something useful for you. Cheers.

Really?)) I have not told anything, that you would not know, considering your expirience of historical reconstruction. However try to look here - http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_100144.html http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic_t_9828.html http://trizna.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=44868 Unfortunatelly, all in Russian. Try with the goggle-translator and with my little help. )) But now I can write only SO - in a condensed form... Cheers.

that is very inconvermemt. But I always at your service (as far as it is possible). Best regards, Crowford.

the strips of red colours was rendered. And so on. The fougasse airbombs (FAB and older AF) had no markings. Also on the cases and on the stabiliziers of bombs were made by a black paint a cliche with the various factory information. P.S. I ask to forgive my for so delayed, brief and empty answer. It is pardonable. The point is that now I practically am deprived of access to the internet. The access to the network is possible only from my unpretentious phone, that is very inconverm

Hi, Geezer! In the period intresting for you, the Soviet airbombs of all calibres were traditionally painted grey (grey-blyish) - in 2 layers by an oil paint. The smallest bombs could be not painted, but only were coated with a varnish or greasing. For marking of amunition purpose were used the ring strips of a 5 primary colours (15 or 30 mm of width). The blue, white, red, yellow and green paints were used. So, the fragmentation bombs (AO) had the ring strips of blue colour, the incendiaru (ZAB)

...On the other hand, FIAT Cr.32 among models made by A-team also is present, but less detailed.

Were can I find a Pfalz D.III and D.IIIa for FE2?
Crawford replied to Verdun's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
I too collided with this problem. She is easily solved. It is necessary in a folder PfalzD3 to open a folder with a skin, which you use. For example, folder Jasta16B. Open a file Decals and everywhere insert the name of a folder of the plane - PfalzD3/ How it is shown on a screenshot. After that keep a file. The decals will be on their place. -
AFAIR, the very good model of the Polikarpov I-15 Chato already exists. Developed A-Team. http://www.cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ Though, certainly, you can better)) May be, then it will be more interesting to you to create model of the plane Bleriot-SPAD S.51? It is the interesting machine too, and it nobody made for aviasimulators.
-
Sorry, I simply incorrectly have expressed. It was necessary to tell not "you do not make the aeroplans of the WWI", but "you make few planes of the WWI", or even - "almost do not make them". And it is really sad! P.S. Yes, your Elephant (Martinsyde) - is one of the best models in game!)
-
Fantastic! It is a pity, that you do not make the aeroplans of the First world war!
-
Even if you did not know it, you very correctly have guessed! You have gift of a prediction! By the way, it is necessary to bring in one specification concerning identification marks of the Russian F.40. The historian of the Russian aviation S. Klimov has noticed, that in accessible photos, ALL planes had the French tricolor on a tail. But the circles on wings could be French or Russian. Can Be, this information will be useful to you further…

Don't mention it... As I have misinformed you. The amount 20 planes really occurring in some old books. But the new researches allow these data in essence to correct: In the summer of 1917 on Russian front was available only 461 serviceable planes. On arms consist, first of all: 70 – "Nieuport -11-Bebe", 68 - "Nieuport-21", 43 - SPAD-7, 70 - "Farman-30", 39 - "Maurice Farman-40", 37 - "Caudron", 150 — "Voisin", 76 — "Anatra-D", 41 — "Lebed-12", 25 — SPAD with a cabin (A2). The huge air stocks were kept in territory largest in Russia 1-st Central Flying stock - warehouse, in Moscow (in area Khodynka). In the autumn 1917 there was 70 fighters "Nieuport-23", 23 "Nieuport-17", 4 "SPAD", 12 scouts "Farman -40", 15 "Caudron " and 72 English planes of the various marks (mainly "Sopwitch"). Total 196 devices. Thus, not 20 planes in units of battle, but it is much more – not including what have remained in a warehouse and that were broken earlier! However there is an opinion, that these data on the 39 F.40 are overestimated. True, as always, somewhere in the middle. http://aviaww1.forum24.ru/?1-3-0-00000271-000-0-0 I can add, that the Russian pilots did not love this plane considered as its changeable in flight, and difficult on on rise and landing . They were applied basically as training planes. At school of the military pilots in Kacha near Sebastopol there were two machines, and one have broken, and second was in a non-flying condition (In the autumn 1916 of eight received planes "Maurice Farman-40" six were broke together with the pilots as a result of a corkscrew!) Many machines, for example, in 2-nd Guards Air Squadron, participated in duels. "Farman-40" was on arms (alongside with other types of planes) in 5-th, 13-th. 24-th, 26-th, 34-th and 37-th Air Squadrons (KAO), 3-th and 8-th Army Air Squadrons , 1-st and 2-nd Guards Air Squadrons. As to identification marks, information slightly. It is known is, that some of Russian F.40 had the French marks. There are many photos of the Russian F.40 with the French circles on wings and French tricolor on a tail. The F.40 planes in Kacha were with the French marks too. But there is also photo, dated February 1917, where plane standing on a skis and on wings is the Russian circles. Thus, "Russian skin", created by Stephen1918, is rather conditional, but it is impossible to inform, that such could not be.
-
I congratulate, Steve, it is EPIC WIN! Your long work has crowned by success, which even has exceeded my expectations! Very much it was pleasant, that the external levers connected to rudders of height, move. At one of my favourite planes, Airco DH2, they motionless, unfortunately. Not fatally, but nevertheless it is unpleasant ))
-
Yes, in Russia was twenty F-40 (Morfa or Morfar) bought in 1916. Some were applied on Eastern front, but the part of them has remained not unpacked up to the discontinuance of battle actions in East.
