Really? I can't remember not being able to shoot Sparrows or Amraams in TWS mode? -
Wouldn't surprise me if the next jet is an F-16. After all, it's supposed to be a "very popular US fighter".

Yeah a P-51 is exactly what everyone's been missing...

Actually I made that particular sharkmouth. It's from the VF-21 skin, which was my 2nd ever mod. -

Looks more like a combination KM/H and Mach indicator to me. The scale that goes to 30 seems odd for an altimeter but makes sense for Mach. -
Another F-16. After the P-51 the most overmodelled fighter in history.

The Soviets had entire squadrons made up of women who went on night bombing runs over Nazi lines.

It looks like in old Discovery Channel documentaries where they'd spliced a bunch of WW2 footage into one long sequence. It's more action packed than IRL but then it needs to be.

Could I have a go at texturing the LCAC? I made one when I was at DICE. -
No seriously. I watched the trailer and I fail to see what's so horrible about the dogfight scenes.

I think it looks really good. Certainly looks heaps better than Pearl Harbor.

Maybe people should spend more time actually researching things before going of on a kneejerk-nerdrage-grognard-rampage? Working to expand your audience = dumbed down arcade game. Right.

Modelism. Poly Count.

I think if you use 2048 resolution one map is more than enough for a plane. The stock planes use 1024 maps and look better than most 3rd party planes including mine. -
Thing 2011 was decent but the effects were nowhere near as good as Rob Bottin's work on the 1982 version.

You can make a terrain shader that takes into account the up vector for defining which surfaces get snow or other deposit and then use vertex colors for terrain blending. -

Well now there's also other outlets such as GOG and Direct2Drive. Also what interests me is how there now exists funding alternatives to the traditional publisher route such as 8-bit funding and Steam crowd-sourcing.
