  1. No. The dials give it away as an 80's pit.
  2. Looks like some kind of modernized F-5 variant.
  3. A-5A LABS run

    From the album Julworks

  4. Julworks

    Wips and stuff
  5. A-5A gear animations

  6. Ace Strike

Chinese massively multiplayer (that's right, 100's of planes all online at the same time) Ace Combat clone due july for our beloved PC: http://www.gaeasoft.com.cn/ And no, it's probably not going to be the next Falcon 4 but to me it looks like fun and if it is I could certainly see paying a montly few bucks for it.
  7. Known issues: ADI doesn't quite work as advertised atm. Something to do with the pivot axis. Canopy frame looks like ass. I think I'll have to pull out the old HL trick of distorting the model to compensate for FOV. Textures could be much better, again especially on the canopy frame. Some stuff is not textured at all, there are no lights or counters yet, and some instruments are non-working.
  8. Fix the smoothing groups on the droptank fins by applying a different group on each side. That'll eliminate the dark edges.
  9. Don't worry. It's almost done.
  10. I'm obviously going to update the RA-5C accordingly as well before I release it.
  11. I intend to try out a new idea to better represent what the catapult system for the nuke would've looked like.

    The Times:
  13. Opening Ceremony

This is done all the time in popular music - usually with backing singers backstage substituted by "pretty" girls/guys who lipsync up front, but annoyingly often also with lead singers who simply lipsync to a prerecorded backing track.
  14. You can stick invisible wheels under it and it'll work on the ground.
  15. Georgia moves against separatists

People who are not mouthbreathing jingoistic troglodytes would belive Russia had quite a legit reason to move against the Chechnyan fundies who decided to invoke Sharia law and not only kill but enslave ethnic russians in the region. But then again it wouldn't surprise me at all that you'd rather side with those women-abusing, slave trading islamic fanatics than them thar diiiirty commies. But yeah, compare that to the likes of the Holocaust all you want.

  17. It looks way oversized. Are you sure it's scaled properly in max?
  18. Georgia moves against separatists

The thing is, it isn't their own civilians - the S.O population are russians who hold russian passports, and thus the georgians launched an unprovoked attack on russian citizens in an independent state. One has to wonder what they sought to achieve with such an idiotic gesture.
  19. Georgia moves against separatists

Did you even try toread the info on Tibet that I posted? I see you bring up Chechnya as well in your russophobic scaremongering, and frankly it bothers me that an american would use the example of Russia slamming down on those slave-trading, women-abusing islamist fundies as a reason as to why Russia is a big evil empire. Especially since Chechnya was part of Russia. So it's ok when the US slams down on the Taliban which it helped create, but it's bad when Russia or China does the same with religious theocracies litterally on their soil? That's some hypocritical double standard right there. *Edit: Flames removed.
  20. Georgia moves against separatists

In certain regards, not in all. The american media is notorious for sucking politician cock to the point where they expect the press to keep silent about something stated in an interview if it's "off the record". Generally it's the duty of each and all of us to constantly check and crossreference the facts and make our own educated conclusion. There's simply no such thing as trusting the news just because they're say they're objective.
  21. Georgia moves against separatists

Just to make my position clear, I'm reposting here what I just sent in a PM to Whiteknight: http://duckofminerva.blogspot.com/search/label/Georgia Several articles detailing the conflict and it's background. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7551595.stm Beeb article that includes background info and a neat timeline. Also note how on 08/07, Georgia agreed to a ceasefire. On that same evening they launched a surprise attack with rocket artillery specifically targeting civilians. Finally, here is a rather long thread on the subject on the stardestroyer.net boards: http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php...asc&start=0 And this is coming from someone whose family has fought against the russians for several generations since the 1400's. I'm definitely no russophile, but the burden of responsibility for the conflict is rather clear here. As for my comments about Fox News, the point is that we're not really in a position to blindly trust our own media because they've over and over shown a willingness to support political agendas by blatantly distorting the truth by omitting key facts - A good example of this would be how they've largely shaped the western perception of the Tibet issue as the brutal chinese oppressing a peaceful society http://www.michaelparenti.org/Tibet.html where the monks ruthlessly tortured and oppressed the country's serf population making the Taliban look like kindergarten and in fact the common tibetan is way better off with more human rights under China than before.
