Ooohhhh, M61, nice. Can I see how the cannon is mounted on your model? I might steal it (with credits of course, lol), for a stretched Super F-29 I'm working on. -

I had a similar idea. F-27C Warhawk II. I threw together all of my plane drawings into scale a couple days ago after a friend asked. My F-29 Lynx is there too, but not the F-31 Peregrine I did this morning. A question though, Dels. Are you planning on putting in F-5-style cannons in the nose? -

I ended up going with "F-29A Lynx" for my drawings. I'm saving Peregrine for the F-31. A feline name keeps it close with the F-5E Tiger's name too. -

Looking good, Dels! Now I need to get back to work on my advanced F-29 variants. -
Of course I am, I'll also put it in my gallery here. It won't be long, I'm almost done. I think I have all the markings in place (though someone let me know if I've missed any). Mostly all that needs to still be done is a bit more shading for the wings, intakes, and tail, as well as adding more highlighting (started that on the upper nose already).
-
Thanks again. Yeah, I am taking my time, it's getting to exam season in college now. The markings won't take long, it's the shading that is new to me and will take some time. Yeah, it's the CAG bird of VF-2 Bounty Hunters, NE-100.

Thanks, T_a. Still a lot of work to be done on it, but it's coming along nicely. I'm drawing markings right now, this is how it was earlier today.

And here's a preview of what the next paint will be for the F-14F.

What does it mean?
Talos replied to Mannie's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I doubled checked it with the FM 1-02 just to be sure. Magnum means that a friendly antiradiation missile has been fired (eg. AGM-88) Pig means friendly glide weapon released (eg. JSOW) Rifle means friendly air-to-surface missile launch (eg. AGM-65) Then of course, there's always Miller Time. -

I haven't been building one, but I have been drawing one, the F-29A/C Lynx. -

Hmm...French Typhoon. Ouragan II perhaps? Nice work to both Craig and Sundowner! The plane and skins look amazing. -

I'd like to see her with angled-downwards canards, purely because it'd be like a mini B-1B and should look pretty neat. -

After responding to your question about what Cheetah I was working on in the Mirage IIIS thread, I looked into the Atlas Cheetah. I think we could cobble together a decent Cheetah C and/or E. I can do the canards and work on systems and ini work, I just don't have the 3d skills for the nose and refueling probe (both of which can be added as a weapon). -

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Fastcargo. I thought about it after I posted and didn't remember seeing any rotation variable. -

Yeah, the F-15F Cheetah from the Dale Brown book, "Day of the Cheetah." I have all the ini work done, I just can't get the canard skins to show. They're totally white. Now as for the Atlas Cheetah, we'll just have to see...I think something may be able to be done. -

You should be able to rotate them with the .ini, Blackbird. *I think* -

Those really remind me of the nose vanes on the B-1, Blackbird. Can you try angling them down 30-40 degrees? I think that would look superb. Nice job! -

Nice work as always, kei. Sugoi! I really like that South Fleet Tomcat, the scheme works really well on it and it's beautifully done! -
Not yet, but I do plan on doing some USN squadron colors. I'm already planning to do the VF-2 Bounty Hunters and, if I can find a decent decal of the dog on the tail, the VF-143 Pukin' Dogs.
-
Well, it doesn't have any armaments or the wheel references, but I did do a (still not totally finished) Luftwaffe "Black Tulip" F-14F. I was imagining the F-14F could replace the Tornado in it's roles and let the Typhoon stick with primarily A2A and some A2G roles.

I found another pic that I never uploaded to that other site so I might as well show it here. It's an F-14F configured for a strike mission with 12 SDB (4 rows of three) on specially modified pallets, two AIM-9X, and two AIM-162 Enhanced Sparrow Missiles on the wing glove pylons. It also has two CFTs on it's back as well. Unlike the EF-14G pic above, this one also has vector thrust nozzles, you can see the split rudder where the lower sections turn inward to give clearance when the nozzles vector upwards.

Yeah, Julhelm's is a pretty nice one.
