ah...let me see if I still have his address then

of course not, and one never knows who it will be. as you say, the media seems to revel in slandering as well as delighting in anything that makes the current campaign look bad, perhaps to push their own agenda. and look at Detroit, DC, where ever and senseless violence is not as scarce as it should be...but trust me in that people will always blame something rather than someone

Thanks, will give it a whirl -
I just saw this star wars mod called first strike...am downloading now here is the link http://www.moddb.com/mods/6512/first-strik...lient-installer unclear though, if I only want to play off-line, do I need a server or client install? you may like it as the threads said it was better than SWBF2 (which I still play on occasion) did you ever try republic commando?

- didnt he write for Baldur's Gate also? - I think you will like Watson's work, though I have not figured out how they were classed as "young adult", except that they are in the 100 - 200 page category...seems like they should throw them all into a trade-novel. I especially liked how your avatar was a farmer until Qui Gon came along Yeah. for me, after KOTOR there was doubt if anything could match it because IMNSHO, it was the best story since Empire Strikes Back.

awesome, will give it a try tomorrow...also just saw the BF2142 mod for star wars "first strike"...maybe it will make playing 2142 enjoyable
-
was it the same effects team? I heard that the effects team from BSG is quite good...

Ooo...6... * and I am back...great point...for me, I rather like how all of the characters are flawed...so realistic...especially the episode when the Engineering Officer was awarded his own boat, and he sucked...man, I have worked for that guy before, more than once. Kind of why I like CSI, all of the characters are flawed, without that boring anti-hero crap that Americans love to write about, especially in the 70's. I mean, there are a few alcoholics, heck, even Olmos has made bad decisions...that makes it significantly more believable, because unlike 99% of the American stories where the hero always wins, not so GINO/BSG

Yeah, I read the Young Adult books by Jude Watson because she carried the Qui-Gon story as well as the young Obi Wan story. Yep, Zahn is still my favorite, but I also like Luceno, Stackpole, and that dude that wrote Path of Destruction. man, PoD was so good, I literally read like 3/4 of it in an afternoon...I really liked how they finally explained what a force user experiences...that whole "opened himself to the force" is a bit creepy to me, but in PoD they truly explained it. And how can a character compare to Thrawn?

that sounds like Dover...Hwy 1 passes directly under the approach end of the runway (or departure, as the wind blows)

I have BF2142, but it is lacking...I especially do not like how EA forces you to have an online account, and you get no advancement at all unless you do it on line... No fun for me, as I hate getting fragged by some 12 year old camper...that is what I call not fun - Because I am not smart...if I want to play OFF-line, do I need the client or the server version?

Fast Cargo, is this what you mean? http://www.game-warden.com/bsg/downloads.html "beyond the red line"

Speaking of the old series, they have danced with quite a few of the old story lines, and IMNSHO, have improved dramatically. Sure, there have been a few stinker episodes (like the labor uprising) but they have always recovered well. Next to ATHF, by far my favorite show! And no, not just because of Grace Park (I dont care if she cant act)

I really liked BSG as a youth, then a friend had the complete set and I watched it...man it sucked...especially the "wild west asteroid"...and if her crashed landed because he was out of fuel, how the heck did he manage to take off again at the end of the episode? Typical 70's writing. The new BSG or GINO as some call it is edgy, and the way they have handled certain story lines has been stunning...think about what they have thrown at us, terrorism from the terrorist point of view, racism, and violence against women...none of it I expected from Sci-Fi. And I really like the space combat, it makes sense, it flows, it looks "realistic" not that Moonraker crap that we have been dealt since the 70's.
-
man, that takes skill
-
Saw it, looks completely arcade and have seen no favorable reviews. Agree that I was expecting so much more, looks like they dotted off the license without checking on who was buying it...typical
-
so is it basically just using the engine from 1942 with transformers textured on? Sounds cool, but your review makes me pause
