I've started this skin in order to have the correct skin for the VF-14 and VF-32 cruise on USS Independence in 1982-83 ( comprised the crisis in Lebanon) and VF-11 and VF-31 embarked in USS J F Kennedy in 1982 and USS Forrestal in 1986 for The Mirage Factory F-14A_82,to be used in the campaign of SF2NA Expansion Pack and SF2 North Cape Few decals are modified from the original skins of Blackburn32 and/or 1977Frenchie, but the majority was done by me.I've also added the correct ( more or less) gun gas vents in place of the incorrect NACA ones. ========== To Install: As always ,all in the relative folders in your game(s) As these skins was designed to replace those already done by TMF/1977Frenchie/ Blackburn32, If you will preserve the old ones, please made a back-up of the latters as the folder in this pack share the same folders names and will overwrite all ----------------------------- Credits: TMF, Blackburn32 and 1977Frenchie for the F-14A and skins Me for the decals and the small improvements If I've forgot someone,please let me know please! ------------ Know issue: As always I tried to be the more historically precise as possible, but I miss some squadron's Bu.Nos/modexes and some skins have decals for just 10 planes out of the 12 standard for a Navy Squadron...sorry! -------------------------------------------- Legal note: This package may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware addition. ------------------------------------------- Gianni "RustyKurnass" Coniglio Submitter RustyKurnass Submitted 08/15/2021 Category F-14  

Imagine in SF2...

If you select from the main screen the option, then gameplay and starting point on the runway ,this allow you start from a carrier deck also. This work for the Campaign and single mission for sure, I don't know for the mission editor.

Simply hit the brake button and the plane is shoot off the deck

Hi all gents, I've just finished a customized VF-31 skin for the TMF F-14A_82 that I'll use in Campaign, edited the necessary lines in the Campaign Data.ini but for some reason don't start as default texture despite I can easily select from the dropdown menu in the loadout screen.Any Help? Hi gents, I've in mind the idea of release a mini pack of my custom skin of this thread, but I've a small strange issue with the VF-32 decals. In Campaign, the AI planes don't show the Squadron/ modex , but if I play with the VF-32 all work normally...any idea? Note the VF-32 in background, no decals... But if I play with the VF-32 all work normally...

During the past Winter-Spring lockdown I've tried to create some skins for the The Mirage Factory Tomcats in order to match the correct markings for the Squadrons included in my modded installation of SF2NA ( Exp Pack, Med Crisis and North Cape) finishing to realize "new" skins for other planes, in one case for the whole Air Wing! HI gents, I finished the skins for the Nimitz 1986 and Kennedy 1982 Air Wings Tomcats VF-31 VF-11 VF-41line bird And the Skipper's Further research of the Jolly Roger cruise, show that only the Skipper plane was in full color markings, the CAG one was in LoViz The skipper: here I've done a separate skin, as was impossible to manage the marking/skin change with only the decals as you know and suggested...

This is my idea, probably I wasn't clear before, 'cause my bad English... The VF-41 option for a single gray skin is quite acceptable foe me ( maybe can be add a tan decals for the nose tip of the color jets,let see if I can...), but for the Jolly Rogers's the only solution is a double skin, LGG full color jets and three tone grays TPS. Again thanks for the head-ups, suggestions and your time guys! Thanks to @Crusader, I've added the red strip over the RWR blister!

Thanks guys. Yor're right Nightfall, I wasn't the best to explain my "problem" The problme aren't the decals,I learn a bit how manage them ( more or less) , but the camo. The VF-41 line bird was in all gray TPS... ...while the Modex 100 and 101 was in LGG camo with tan radome tip and full color markings,but for this the problem was less important,cause despite the difference in the two grays I can live changing only the decals,after all are enough precise for me. For VF-84 he things are a bit more complex ( for me at least). The line birds But the CO and XO color bird,again, were in LGG full color markings,and there the differences are a bit more importants... Also, in the 1982, the VF-14' Modex 101 bird had a rattlesnake nose art, someone have a useful image to use for the decals? Anyway,thanks guys for lose you time with me!!!!
