  1. Right here: http://www.column5.us/phantoms.htm
  2. Check out these threads LOWBALL: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=9430 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=9590
  3. My apologies. I was unaware of that.
  4. I found out how to use the ARMs the hard way too. Check this thread out: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=9430 FYI - The red target box or even your radar has nothing to do with ARM lock-on as they are only seeking enemy radar emissions to home in on. You generally have to be pointed in the direction of the threat before letting one fly but I have had missiles track even when fired about 70 degrees off target. A Shrike is shorter range (20 miles?) and will lose a lock in flight if the enemy radar shuts off. A Standard is longer range (55 miles?) and will remember where an enemy radar is and kill it even if it shuts off. The Standards are also a little iffy in the lock-on department. I would say there is a 50/50 chance it would lock even when fired under perfect conditions. Good hunting.
  5. Oh well, at least I got dual Sidewinders, that's better than what I had before. Thanks again Fubar. You guys feel free to keep working on the ARMs though .
  6. Thank you, sir! The Sidewinders show up fine complete with adapters on the outboard pylons. However, the loadout screen does not give the option for two Shrikes and only one shows up when selected. I added the 2AR on all stations without the 2IR just to make sure and still no dice. Any help with the Shrikes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the dual AIM-9 info, Can't wait to teach those unsuspecting MIGs a lesson. FYI - I only tried this with 105G and not the D so far.
  7. This may be of some help: http://www.geocities.com/usaf463/index.html
  8. I implore you to reconsider making them as they were used to a degree and are historically accurate. As a fan of the THUD it would be greatly appreciated to have any new mods or add-ons for it, particuliarly the 105G. The dual launchers would make the THUD missions much more immersive and exciting not to mention fun.
  9. Has anybody made or is it possible to make dual Shrike and Sidewinder adapters for the outboard wing pylons of the THUD? I know this was tested in Vietnam and was not very popular with the pilots because it caused some vibration when only one missile was fired. It would still be nice to carry an extra Shrike or two in the sim on Wild Weasel missions. Any modders out there up for the challenge?
  10. ARM lock-on

I've also posted this at SimHQ: First let me say that the guys that did this for real must have had big hairy brass stones. As I fly the missions in this simulator I often wonder about the hell they must have gone through. After much hair pulling and tantrum throwing I think I finally figured it out. For those having the same problem (assuming your flying the 105G): 1.You have to be pointed in the general direction of the enemy radar before firing and watch the Radar Homing And Warning - small screen upper right instrument panel. 2.When the enemy radar is turned on (slow beeping) a slow flashing blip will appear somewhere on the RHAW (there may be more than one indicating multiple radars). At this point your ARMs may or may not acquire the target if you fire. Sometimes they'll hit, sometimes they won't. 3.Enemy radar has a lock on you (rapid beeping). Look at the small circle in the center of the RHAW and there should be a rapid flashing blip there now (again there may be more than one). The blip(s) will be close to the inside perimeter of the circle indicating the direction of the threat. You may have to look closely if there are multiple targets as they tend to blend together. If you cap an ARM off now the odds are pretty good that you'll get a kill. 4.If there are radars close together sometimes the missile may get confused. I've watched missiles acquire and fly towards a target, get in between two radars then go nuts and slam into the ground. Mind you, this is not a 100% guarantee that you will hit your target. I have had perfect set ups and fired only to watch the missile nose dive after launch and take out vacant real estate. Good luck I hope this helps.
  11. ARM lock-on

No WHAMMO! yet but I'll keep trying.
  12. Sorry if this was covered before (I already did a search). Got WOV and flying Wild Weasel missions with the 105G. The problem is that the ARM missiles don't acquire the target, even when I'm being painted like crazy. I read here somewhere that if the target has been selected (red square) the ARMs lock-on automatically it just takes a while. Tried that-didn't work. Tried different radar settings (even though ARMs don't need outgoing radar info) too. I understand that there is no tone but there must be an indicator on the instrument panel somewhere showing acquisiton. How do you get acquisition in the first place? Please help before I sail my computer out the window!
