I just started reading Ed Rasimus second book 'Palace Cobra', dealing with his second Tour in a F-4E over North Vietnam in 72. He describes the precision of the system to be very high, much higher than traditional dive bombing. From his description I take that the WSO designated the target and the bombs would fall pretty close as long as the wings were level.

I wondered if it worked at all and tried it in Pacific Fighters. Worked immediately. When I tried again in Wov it worked as well, though a little bit erratic at times. No idea what's wrong in my first attempts...

I've downloaded and installed v3.13. When I set it to Enhanced Mode and I enter WoV I try to set it up as camera control input, nothing happens when I turn my head. Is there any other toggle I need to set in WoV?

I just got a TrackIR 2 for testing it and wonder if there's a way to get it working with WoV in the Enhanced Mode? The Mouse Emulation works, but not the Enhanced Mode.

I just wanted to make a list and discovered the following: A-1H Skyraider crashes when selecting MiG-CAP as Mission Type. Works fine with the other 4 (Strike, CAS, Iron Hand, Armed Recon). For some aircraft I don't get a mission type at all: E2-C HawkEye, Bell Model 47D, KA-6D Refuel Intruder, UH-1B Huey. All of these CTD when clicking 'Accept' on the 'Create Mission' screen. In the Vietnam terrain they seem that MiG CAP will be assigned to them by default. I just added CAS,RECON and TRANSPORT as Primary Role to the UH-1B and now it flies on the range! Guess that's one fix for it. Or is there a way to allow RECON and TRANSPORT missions on the range?

It it referenced from range.ini with ..\VietnamSEA\vietnamSEA.cat and there it is.

Can someone enlighten me why some planes cause a CTD when trying to use them in the Range terrain while they work fine with the Vietnam terrain? I use Wings over Vietnam with Deuces terrain mods and effects. Once I discovered that I can fly the MiGs only on the Red Range I wondered if this also caused problems with the other (unflyable) aircraft I've added and to my great pleasure they work fine with the Vietnam terrain :)

I modified the values somewhat and haven't gotten any better results than with the ones you posted. It seems if you reduce the times for the other flights you'll be hopelessly late for SEAD or escort missions. But overall the timing is much improved with your settings, thanks!

Is there a way to prohibit the game from using planes in the aircraft folder when playing a campaign? Now that I've the A-1H Skyraider and MiG-21F-13 the sky is full of them ;) While the MiGs are nice to have the Spads show up an hour late for the show usually ...

I'm afraid it crashed because I was trying to fly the Range terrain and not the Red Range terrain :( Ooops...

Is there a way to check which file is missing or causing the crash? Some kind of debug switch would make this a little bit easier. I just d/l the MiG-21 cockpits and none of them works :( In the Objects\Weapons folder I have the TANK490_MIG21.* files, but no AA-2 or such. Maybe this is causing the problem?

Yes, I've got the RA-5C, AH-1G, F-105F and F-105G installed plus various skins and terrain mods. I'll take a look at your webpage to see if I missed doing something.

Hello, I downloaded the UH-1B (TH-1L.zip), Bell-47 ( bell-47d_151829.zip) and the MiG-21F-13 (SFP1_Mig-21F-13-v1.0.exe) and all of them cause WoV to crash when I select them for a single mission. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for the mod, seems to work fine! In my last mission two Phantoms were already airborne and the SEAD flight took off only with a slight delay. We arrived on target just fine. Now I have to figure out who is responsible for sending 2 F-4 escort, 2 F-105 SEAD and 2 F-105 strike after Paul Doumer bridge. Got some years in Hanoi Hilton to ponder this... Great help! Torsten

Hello, will a Wingman (plane #2 in flight) ever use a Shrike when ordered to attack my target if it's a SA-2 launcher? Or do I have to find the Fan Song radar and hand this target over to him? Other flights and aircraft #3 and #4 work fine with Shrikes. I'm currently playing a campaign as F-105 jock and I wonder if there are any ways to repair the timing of the flights in campaign strike missions? It seems to me that CAP and SEAD flights are launched much later than my strike flight. While flying slowly and not following waypoints can make up for this, it's a bit tedious. BTW is there anywhere a description of the F-105 analog band gauges? I figured out the VSI and speed, but the rest I don't know what they really show. Bye, Torsten
