Can you please check if the following files are in Terrain\VietnamSEA-SteelTiger: VietnamSEA-SteelTiger.HFD VietnamSEA-SteelTiger.INI VietnamSEA-SteelTiger.TFD VietnamSEA-SteelTiger_Movement.ini VietnamSEA-SteelTiger_Targets.ini VietnamSEA-SteelTiger_Types.ini Also, can you check if a single player mission on the Steel Tiger map works?

I've uploaded an updated version of countOnMe. Please see if this fixes your problem. The first version didn't recognize any duplicate sections in an INI at all. This one only takes a look at the text of the INI section.

Can you send me the INI, I'd like to take a look at it.

Double click should be working. When I d/l the .jar via Firefox it asks me if I want to open it with Java. Right click offers me the option 'Open With'->'Java Platform SE binary'

Another plane...
TeTeT replied to i90807065's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I lived close to Ramstein for better of 10 years (Kaiserslautern). I remember one day playing Flight Unlimited 2 (long time ago) and being utterly impressed by the sound effects from a nearby plane. Then I saw the shadow and realized it's actually a real plane a little bit low over the city ;) -
Here's a small Java tool that should do the job unless there are duplicate entries in the INI file: Count On Me You need a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), for example from Java @ Sun

I have something available that might come in handy for you:http://woffle.de/wov/weaponsCheck/" target="_blank"> http://woffle.de/wov/weaponsCheck/. Not sure if I'll find tonight to update it for your purpose. It requires a Java Runtime Environment, though. If someone wants the source, drop me a line.

Patrol boats?
TeTeT posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
After toying around with the SHIPPING routes in the VietnamSEA_movement.INI I got an attack mission on 'patrol boats' in a campaign. Unfortunately the boats were actually cargo ships ... I haven't found any patrol boats in the download section and wonder if any are around? -
I can confirm this observation. When I created the first truck parks for Steel Tiger no object was on the target area. Eventually a SAM radar would be there and when in range the other targets would be around. I ended in adding a SAM site to every target area, so I would be flying straight towards it with help of the RWR.

Here's the full quote of TKs reply: I think you get both anti-ship and armed-recon missions based on movement.ini file, but they have to be close to where the front line is. I think CAS is the only type that discards movement.ini and generate mission from campaign data.ini instead. TK Maybe adding some trucking routes close to Khe Sanh and the DMZ will do the trick ...

Infantry Pack SP4 View File Update for Kesselbrut's infantry pack for SP4. This is a restructure of the flat file layout into a hierarchical structure and change to add the appropriate section to the INI files. Submitter TeTeT Submitted 10/03/2007 Category Ground Objects Mods

I've worked some more on the campaign. The result can be found in this zip: SteelTiger.zip. For playing the campaign Kesselbrut's infantry pack and the M101 gun are needed. Both can be found in the download section of CombatACE. I've added a vast number of strategic nodes in Laos and placed ground units there. Unfortunately next to no CAS missions came out of this ... Currently the campaign has not really been play tested, so take results with a huge grain of salt. TODO added one for NVA - Add artillery targets south and north of 17th parallel added three VC bases - Add VC static units added FSB for US - Add outposts for SVN and US along the border added NVA routes and strategic nodes in Laos for moving/attack Add supply outposts for NVA and VC Add static AAA close to battle areas Add static AAA at some valleys/hills Stagger appearance of more AAA and SAMs over the years Add Sampans close to the coast as targets Add A1H and other slow movers Reduce number of targets in RP5 and

Ironhand over Haiphong
TeTeT replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
What a tragedy! Do you always launch the Shrike like this? I usually fire them from 5-7 miles away, either straight towards the target or at a blip on my RWR. -
I've updated the campaign today and hopefully fixed some of the issues. Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated! I did some experiments with Kesselbruts infantry and it looks promising. However, I haven't included the infantry yet, as it needs to be properly repackaged first. Files: README SteelTiger.zip I've also started a TODO list, though it is unlikely that I'll integrate all of this. I'll be quite busy work wise for the next four weeks, so there is no ETA for the beta release yet. I'll got a anti ship mission, but the ships location was in the lower left corner of the map (0,0). If you're assumption holds true and the routes in the terrains file are not used, there's probably not much of a chance to change it. Having said that, placing some Sampans as targets near the coast should work.

Thanks, there were some weird locations ... Do I get this right: The terrains movement.ini determines the action that takes place between strategic node, e.g. ground_attack or truck or shipping. The ground_attack RoutePosition determines the location of the icon on the map. The StrategicNode BasePoints determine where a battle between ground units take place,
