1998: As support for Boris Yeltsin’s presidency dwindles, a radical communist uprising quickly gains power across Russia, and sits in the Kremlin by July. The new communist government quickly begins to lash out at the west claiming they’re responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union. They vow to regain what was lost and more.
1999: As Russian tanks begin to steamroll into Central Europe following a series of Spetznaz infiltrations and surprise air attacks, crippling pre-positioned defenses and early warning systems across Europe, a Guards Regiment of Russian tanks accidentally crosses into Swiss territory. With new orders directly from the Kremlin to press on into Switzerland, the tiny neutral country scrambles to defend itself.
Hey it’s hard to think of a scenario to involve the Swiss in! But denissoliveira’s Swiss Mirages are crying for a campaign.
I’ve got America Northwest standing in for a pseudo-Switzerland. Going to start the process of renaming targets and target locations. May add a few more if I’m up to it. Only issue I can think of is the ground war is going to look messed up with tanks on those mountains.
Anyway, here’s the plane list:
Swiss:
F/A-18C/D
F-5E/F (Sharknose and regular? Need F-5 expert’s advice)
Mirage IIIS/RS
Hawk Mk.66
Russia
Su-27
MiG-29
Su-25
MiG-27
Su-24M
Su-24MR
And yes, I'm actually going to finish this one! Depending on the success of this one I may do a 1989 one to include the Hunters and Vampires (yikes!)
