Mike Dora 171 Posted May 7, 2012 Hi All I have become very much a fan of Stephen18's recent add-on ac, especially his recent DH series. I do have one wish, though. Both of the British DH4 models have twin Vickers and Lewises, and I would like to "de"-mod them to have only single Vickers & Lewis guns. This was the most common configuration for the DH4 through most of the War, as far as I can determine only a few RNAS Fours had twin Vickers, and the twin Lewises only came in relatively late. Now I know that there is a technique for removing things using the "dummy drop tank" method, as used to delete the Biff's upperwing Lewis, as follows (in the appropriate *DATA.INI file): [TopWingLeft] . . +Stephen1918 1,474 Posted May 7, 2012 I've never tried the "demod" technique you're referring to, but I've heard of it. Each of the guns is made up of several pieces linked together, but removing the "parent" part should remove them all. The parent of the left hand Vickers is: VickersBody And the right hand Vickers is: VickersBody01 The left hand Lewis gun is: LewisGunBodyL The right hand Lewis is: LewisGunBodyR Let us know how it works.
