    1. SF2 Korean War Era F9F-2 Panther Pak by bobrock

*Updated 10/6/2012: re-added missing decals folder*

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: as this aircraft was built with the latest TW Exporter, it most likely will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Game Installs*

This is the Grumman F9F-2 Panther, by Bobrock, as seen during the early 1950s; in partucular during the Korean War.

Skins/Decal sets are included for the following units:

      VF-31 "Tomcatters" (USS Leyte, 1950/51)
VF-51 "Screaming Eagles" (USS Valley Forge, 1950*)
VF-52 "Knight Riders" (USs Valley Forge, 1950*)
VF-93 "Blue Blazers" (USS Philippine Sea, 1953)
VF-111 "Sundowners" (USS Philippine Sea, 1950)
      VF-112 "Fighting 12" (USS Philippine Sea, 1950)
VF-192 "Golden Dragons" (USS Oriskany, 1/1953)
      VF-721 ??? (USS Boxer, 1951)
VMF-311 "Tomcats" (land based, various airfieldz in Korea)

The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, with all the SF2NA coding for deck 'parking'.
Skins are in jpg format, so you MUST be at (minimum) Nov 2011, or the Latest July 2012 patch level. All markings are decals and are Randomized. BuNums are accurate for the aircraft variant depicted, but not for the actual ones used by the squadrons; consider them 'generic' for that purpose.
2 Hangar Screens are supplied (the full color verison being used now), along with a Loading Screen. A new engine sound is also included. Weapons use those from the GunnyPak, or from some of the other recently released KAW aircraft.

For those that don't have it, my (patentpending) back-dated, modified SCB-125_data.ini that will allow those bird farms to operate in the 1950s (until when/if we get a straight-decked Essex).

Standard Animations keystrokes are used for the canopy (Shift/0) and wingfold (shift/9). Be advised, there is a slight positioning issue with bombs/rockets when the wings are folded - I can't fix this with ini edits (must be done in MAX). So, don't fold the wings when the hardpoints are loaded, eh?

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

    2. SF2 C-119 Flying Boxcar, Korean War Era and Later

      = For SF2, (Any/All) =

      Some small modification/reskins/redecalling for MontyCZ's (not-so) little C-119 Flying
Boxcar transport aircraft. I found it easier to upload this as a complete aircraft; this
way, End Users ™ can locate, download and install any other skins that are available for
      the aircraft easier.

      This pak includes 5 skins;

50th Troop Carrier Squadron, Korean Era
      63rd TCS
      64th TCS, Korea Era
      97th TCS, circa 1961 ( "USAF" grey/white anti-heat)
      USMC, NAS Seattle (no unit)

The 3 KAW era squadrons use a 'pool' of 25 generic serial/Buzz Number decals shared amongst
them. I say generic, as they represent C-119B/C models from the 1948-55 FY time frame, but
with so little data available, it's almost impossible to run down "what went with whom".
The 97th skin, while representing the C-119G model (slight physical differences), are G
model serials; again considered 'generic' in nature.
Almost all markings are decals (excepting the "United States Air Force" and "Troop Carrier"
on the fuselages of the 63/64 skins. Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. All skins are in
bmp format, making them usable in all versions, including 1stGen SF/Wo*.
A new "UserList.ini" was created, and included for SF2 usage.

As always, fairly easy to follow install instructions are included. So, please read them.
Also, give the "Notes" section a read too; it contains the 'ChangeLog', and credits as to
'who did what to whom' kinda thing! Monty's original Readme is also enclosed.

    3. Fairchild AC-119G & AC-119K Gunship Tweeks Pak

      = For SF2, Any and All, Full-4/5 Merged =

      *Designed with SF2:V in mind*

A bunch of tweeks, modifications, and a new set of 100% historicly accurate serial number decals for MontyCZ's AC-119G and AC-119K Gunships. This is =NOT= a full aircraft pak -- just inis and decals and suchlike. You -MUST- have the original AC-119s to add this pak to.

Designed for use with the SF2:V Expansion Paks (you can find the URLs for the various paks yourself),
      or
      NeverEnough's SF2 Mod Paks:

      http://combatace.com/files/file/9572-ac-119k-stinger-for-sf2/

or directly into the original downloads.

Many tweeks/adjustments/fixes, etc to most of the inis bring it a bit more "SF2-ish".
All weapons are supplied (illuminator flare, flare pods and the Stinger FLIR). Guns are NOT included; you should have them already.
Decal randomization is set to TRUE. A new 'heavy radial' engine sound is included (from the A-1 Skyraider as they both used R-3350s). Lots minor little tweeks. New SF2 versions of the hangar screens for both aircraft are included.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

    4. RB-57A Canberra

      = For SF2, Any and All =

      * Note: Full-4 Merged reccomended; can be used in any game install with access to the STOCK CanberraB2, as it uses this lod (probably SF2:E?? IIRC!!) *

This is a full, complete aircraft mod containing everything needed to just unzip and fly!

2 new skins and decal sets are provided, representing the

30th TRS, 66th TRW at Sembach during 1956/58 (Natural Metal)
363rd TRW at Shaw AFB, South Carolina from initial delivery to the late 1950s (Night Intruder Black)

All serial numbers are 100% historically accurate for the aircraft and units depicted, excpeting the last 3 for the 30th ... they're fillers, but ARE for RB-57As (most likely from the 345th BW).
With the exception of the tail marking (yes, I had to paint them on!), all others are decals.

Minor ini edits add an audio RWR, and a very simple ground mapping radar (see notes for other explinations and such). Although designed with RECON in mind, like the actual aircraft, it still carries it's offensive bombload for Strike (ie: Night Interdiction). However, the A models (like the Canberra B2 they're derived from) carry NO guns, so I've limited the Mission Tasking to RECON and STRIKE. All weapons used (well, ok -the bombs!-) are stock in-game items.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please read them!

    5. B-57B Canberra Tweeks Pak

      = For SF2, Any and All =

      * Note: Full-4 Merged reccomended, but can be used in any game with access to the STOCK B-57B *

Some ini mods for the stock B-57B that add a usable cockpit (albeit not perfect!,but VERY usable), new avioncs ini, and adds the Nuclear Delivery Capability ™ they had from inception.

Note: the various Mk.7 series nukes and nuke effects are NOT included -- they're from one of the lindr2 weapons paks. For those wishing the physical models for the Mk 7s, they're in my original F-84F Update Pak available at the following link:

      http://combatace.com/files/file/11430-f-84f-thunderstreak-skin-inis-upgrade-pak/

However, as stated above, the effects are NOT with them.

An extra main ini, called "xB-57B.ini" is supplied so after patching, or DLC installation, a simple 'One click Operation' ™ will return this aircraft to Player-Usable status. Instruction on how-to are in the "To Install" section below.

Data ini tweeks 're-aim' the guns to fire through the gunsight, add ECM and CM dispensers (chaff ONLY!). Now, if I could only figure out the proper LABS 'bomb toss' that don't fall a bit short ... or long ... (lol!). The Loadout ini, for mission builders, has a "Strike_Nuke" callout. However, the weapons ARE selectable on the games loadoutscreen as well, after removing any other bombs from the bombbay.
No Hangar or Loading screens are included, cause I just plane forgot...maybe later!

    6. SF2 Korean War Era F-86F "GunVal" Sabre Pak

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: There is a distinct probability that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level, due to the extensive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. End Users ™ that attempt it, do so at their own risk. A Full 5 Merged install is reccomened at the LATEST patch level.*

The pack represents the experimental "GunVal" (Gun Evaluation) Sabres as used during the later part of the Korean War.

These differ from standard, or garden variety A/E/F models in have 4 20mm cannon instead of 6 50 caliber machine guns. They were only used for a short time (53-54) before being retired, having proved the concept (the data obtained was used on building the F-86H, and possibly US Navy FJ Furys, and the gun itself went on to equip thousands of Century Series fighters).

These aircraft carries the markings of the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th FIW, where they were used.
Like the other Sabres, this has a brand new skin, built from ravenclaw's beyond superb template. All skins are in jpg format, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all markings are decals, excepting the yellow ID stripes. New DDS damage textures are included. Serial numbers are 100% historically accurate; after all, only 10 of these aircraft were ever built, and it was no great feat to run them down.

Like the other recently released Sabres, an all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should!. There are NO weapons included as everything references something stock 3W (the gun) or what you'll already have the main F-86 Pak (the drop tank).
Mission tasking is limited to A-A ONLY!!! This is a pure air superiority fighter, with NO privisions for the A-G role. The aircraft also uses the same pilot figure and sounds as the KAW Sabre Pak, so be advised, you need the KAW Sabre Pak installed to get the most from THIS pak.

When in-game you'll see "F-86F-2 "GUNVAL" " in the aircraft selection drop-down window.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

This is the F-86 Sabre Pak for the Korean Air War mod. Probably as eagerly awaited as the terrain itself...

Ladies, Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, THIS is the "Star of the Show"!!!

In this pak you have 3 Sabre marks, with their various skins/decals sets:

      F-86A:
      334th FIS
      335th FIS
      336th FIS, 4th FIW

This set uses the 'SF2 date switch' to swap from the Black/White Invasion stripes (Early skins) to the Yellow ID band (Late Skins). They switch on March 1, 1951.

      F-86E:
      No. 2 Squadron, SAAF
      16th FIS
      25th FIS
      39th FIS, 51st FIW
      334th FIS
      335th FIS
      336th FIS, 4th FIW

      F-86F:
      16th FIS
      25th FIS
      39th FIS, 51st FIW
      334th FIS
      335th FIS
      336th FIS, 4th FIW

...and a Surprise Bird, with 3 skins of it's own!!!!!

All aircraft have brand new skins, built from ravenclaw's beyond superb template. All skins are in jpg format, and Decal Randomization is set to TRUE. Almost all markings are decals, excepting special vert fin/rudder markings (the yellow stripe for the 4th FIW, and checkboard with squadron color for the 51st). New DDS damage textures are included.

An all new, SF2-compliant FM was created for these aircraft; it flys like it should! (as seen on some other recently released Sabre mods) A new userlist ini is also included. The F-86A gets an SF2-version of my original 'box art' Hangar screen; the E & Fuses a more 'generic' style. No weapons are included; they are in the KAW weapons pak, and excepting for the drop tanks and HVARs, reference stock items (ie: the bombs). Many new sounds are included; be advised the included 50cal sound =WILL= overwrite any others you posess. Several new 'effects' are included as well.

For your extra added Flying Pleasure, a KAW =ONLY!!= modded InstantAction.ini resides in the included /Flight folder. REMINDER: use this =ONLY= in a stand alone KAW mods folder. It's based off the Korea V.3 map, and you'll need the MiG-15bis_NK, La-11 Fang, F-82G, F9F-2, and of course, these Sabres. This is an optional use file; I won't be insulted if you don't use it, or change the aircraft to what you want. Really; I promise!

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There are "Operational Notations" and other impertinant data you should know.

    8. SF2 Korean War Era F9F-5P Photo Panther Pak by Pasko

      = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: There is a distinct probability that this mod =MAY= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at their latest patch level. However, due to the modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment, some features will not be implemented/work/show up. End Users ™ that attempt it, do so at their own risk. A Full 5 Merged install of SF2 is reccomened at the LATEST patch level. This is how it was (re)built & tested for KAW.*

Slight upgrades to Pasko's F9F-5P "Photo Panther" bring it more in line with SF2, in specific regards to the KAW mod.

This is the complete aircraft, with 2 skin/decal sets for:

      VC-61, USN
      VMJ-3, USMC

Skins remain in bmp format due to their small size (512x); decal randomization (for the 4 Level 2 decals used on them) is set to TRUE. This should pose no in-game issues, as Recon flights only generate 2 aircraft. AND...the aircraft only has the one mission tasking statement.

Included are sounds (from the KAW F9F-2), the pilot figure, and the cockpit FROM the -2 Panther (although the -5 pit IS different -would you rather be stuck with the A-4B?? Again!!??). The aircraft is fully carrier capable, and was tested in the KAW mod. The FM remains relatively untouched. A userlist is also included, as is a NEW SF-2 "Box Art" style hangar screen.

Wingfold operates via the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/9. However, due to animation linking, the canopy ONLY opens when the arrestor hook is deployed (H key).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. There are "Operational Notations" and other data you should know.
