    9. Mosquito NF Mk.II No.157 Sqn

Mosquito NF Mk.II W4082 No.157 Sqn RAF March-August 1942 (skinned onto a VI ) I used Jesters Excellent new template (many thanks) & have done two versions of this aircraft---Weathered & not Weathered, each verion has a marked & unmarked skin 4 skins in total, Bright finished...............Buglord.
(Extract)------The Mosquito was early on recognized as being suitable for modification into the fighter role. As such they were fitted with four 20mm cannon and four .303 machine guns. At the same time the need for night-fighters was becoming apparent and the Mosquito NF Mk.II was created by mating the F Mk.II with the Mk.IV AI (Airborne Intercept) radar - the result being the NF Mk.II. The only external difference was the arrowhead aerial on the nose and dipoles on the wingtips. These early Mosquitos were finished in a special matt black paint that was supposed to lessen the likelihood of being seen at night. Note the type A1 roundel and the early fin flash.

    23. Hawk 81A-2, Flying Tigers: # "3"

This is a pack of 4 skins of the same plane, at 3 different moments:

      1. Toungoo, Burma, August to November 1941 (AVG03A).
      2. Kunming, China, December 1941 (AVG03B).
      3. Rangoon, Burma January to February 1942 (AVG03C and ABG03Cbis).

This Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 n° P-8103, took off for the first time in august 1941 at Toungoo airfield (Burma) and was written of at Rangoon (Burma) on 23 february 1942. It was flown by Dick ROSSI (6 victories) and also William BARTLING (5 victories). It has two little roundels (chinese and american) on each side of the cockpit. It seems that this plane has never received a shark mouth, but ROSSI said that it has one. So I have made two different version, with and without shark mouth.

Template by Leadspitter, flaps modified by Pierre Alfaro, other modifications by Obélix!
