About This File
This is a slightly tweaked texture set for the standard FE Albatros DVa, to create the appearance of late war DVa, with a few changes to add some additional detail.
The main change is the lozenge pattern on the upper wing surfaces and the tailplane, which gives it a brighter look and alters the colours a bit. The underside of the tailplane also uses the 'upper' lozenge pattern to help portray the notion of some of the shortages experienced in the German aircraft industry as the war progressed. The fuselage wood has been changed to a slightly more reddish colour, which is based on the appearance of the 1960's Cole Palen replica, for no other reason than the fact that I like the colour of that one, and it adds a bit of variety. I've also added the weight data stenciling to the fuselage. The wheels have had the tire valve access hole and spokes added, there is also some exhaust smoke staining added to the stabiliser and elevator on the right side, and the Albatros Company logo has been added to the rudder, as it would have appeared on aircraft that had not been overpainted with fancier markings.
Feel free to mess around with this paint job, have fun with it, and bag a Frenchie for the Kaiser. Al 'Chock' Bradbury
