+Wrench Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We've know for many years, going back to SFP1, that the night sky is pretty accurate in this game. While I was looking for something else (why the skies are purple in NA for some unknown reason) I looking into the EnvironmentalSystem ini and found this listing. Now, I'm not one of those Guru's like Stary or some others are (more down on the ground for me) But check this out: Quote [Stars] StarMaterial=StarMaterial UpdateRate=60.0 SizeFactor=1.00 SizeDeviation=0.2 MinSize=0.2 MinHeight=0.2 TextureCoordinate=0.875 StarDataFile=Stars.dat OClassColor=0.71,0.86,1.00,0.6 BClassColor=0.80,0.96,1.00,0.6 AClassColor=0.90,1.00,0.99,0.6 FClassColor=1.00,1.00,1.00,0.6 GClassColor=0.99,0.99,0.83,0.6 KClassColor=1.00,0.95,0.75,0.6 MClassColor=1.00,0.87,0.66,0.6 In 25 years, I just never thought that the stars would actually use their spectral class. To say nothing of lunar phases, and sunrise/sunset time based on latitude (if terrain has it listed) For a 'sim lite', that's pretty advanced. 3
+EricJ Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago That is interesting, too bad there's not much flying at night though to take advantage of this stellar find.
