Flanker562 Posted Sunday at 10:25 PM Posted Sunday at 10:25 PM Can't believe a video thread isn't started, anyway: Â 8
GKABS Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM Posted yesterday at 01:23 PM I have always loved watching MFS videos. Thank you for starting this thread. 1
Flanker562 Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM No problem, I figured since it was a major flight sim game, that it deserved it's own thread for videos.
GKABS Posted yesterday at 01:29 PM Posted yesterday at 01:29 PM You are absolutely correct; one of my favourite flight simulators would be even better if it had fighting capabilities.Â
Flanker562 Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:49 PM Well I'm sure you can afford VBS4, that is like the Arma engine with world locations if my mind serves me right. But as for me I'm slowly getting into the "just fly around" phase of light simming. I've done combat sims for over 20 years, and sometimes it's nice to enjoy the scenery sometimes too. I do play Arma 3 and I do transport helo stuff, and that gets me shot at and stuff, so that's about as far as it goes. For MSFS 2024 it's just something to look at the world from the comfort of my apartment. But, it would nice to hang some ordnance on the Super Hornet though, it's too clean.
GKABS Posted yesterday at 03:01 PM Posted yesterday at 03:01 PM That's quite intriguing! I've delved into this topic previously, and it seems there are no licenses issued to the general public. 1 hour ago, Flanker562 said: I do play Arma 3 and I do transport helo stuff, and that gets me shot at and stuff, so that's about as far as it goes. Indeed, I have enjoyed playing Arma 3, and it was a delightful experience to share it with my son as we took on the roles of infantry soldiers. 1 hour ago, Flanker562 said: For MSFS 2024 it's just something to look at the world from the comfort of my apartment. Yes I agree with you When I was in J-SERE years ago I did some FO stuff given my previous experience as a real one. Towards the end I was the Flight NCO and did helicopters. I joined a milsim last year, and got sick of being infantry given my ignorance of stuff like ACE3, and so on. I wanted to just fly, and frankly do most of that right now, with my recorded missions on my YouTube. But I still have the instinct of a soldier, just prefer to be a pilot more and more. Though I do go on NAKSquad and rarely go on there, and just do infantry stuff to do something different.
