New member here - Looking for a smooth combat sim experience!

Hello there my fellow Pilots,

I've recently discovered Strike Fighters 2 and I'm really excited to dive in. I've tried other modern sims (like DCS, for 15 minutes), but honestly, the performance was terrible on my mid-range PC—I was barely getting 24 FPS(On the Runway) and it felt impossible to enjoy the actual combat.

I've heard that SF2 is the gold standard for great performance and intense dogfighting. I'm especially interested in the modern era mods I've seen mentioned here, and have a great game.
