Wolf05 Posted yesterday at 12:41 PM Posted yesterday at 12:41 PM I'm new and i need some tips beacuse i'm super lost
Flanker562 Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Okay what's the first thing you want to know? Note that the Knowledge Base can get you started in some stuff too, but don't hesitate to ask either, if it's somehow not covered in there.
Wolf05 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago Well, I started flying the F-4 (which I got the hang of super quickly) and the F-14, but when it comes to flying the F-15 or the F-16, I get shot down in a flash. Also, with the F-15 I can't figure out how to see the IFF
Flanker562 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago You have to figure it out, but I'm sure maybe a person who flies the F-15 can tell you the ins and outs, but the IFF system is like the E key or something like that (I fly on Hard HUD, so I don't know the keybind for selecting enemies) to find out, and if you keep like the Normal settings or Easy you can see the red box around it. Though I think the E key is for ground targets, and not aerial targets.
Wolf05 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago Thanks You, another question, which campaign would you recommend I start with?"
Flanker562 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago That's a question I can't answer as I never flew a campaign (I think I did one but got killed) as long as I've been playing the game, so hopefully somebody can chime in for their recommendations. 1
daddyairplanes Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Mrs Cleo isnt a member on this site. without some more input from you, we cant really give you too much advise, and that advise would vary anyhow Flanker likes Super Hornets (ie post 2001) and flying off carriers I myself like Air Force birds, from post Nam up to Allied Force (so before 2000) and doing air to mud work. so we're gonna have two different view points on whats good what aircraft are you interested in? what era do you like best? what theater of combat interests you most? tell us that and we could steer you in much better direction but some general advice youre gonna get is to fly it, practice and learn yourself. the lesson will stick alot better than reading in a forum
Tauwu Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago So am I only just in today and although you wanted tips on the games , here's one from the realy new guy.....Hang on in there , and if you got a long distance on a incoming missile head for the deck in a power nose dive try and level out and hit mach , in the tomcats and hornets and I believe a slam eagle you can reach mach 2.3 and nothing , no rockets and the like keep track , if it's close by you have to flare but a distance like just inside the map ring head for the deck and power at Mach . It always beats the rockets incoming.Â
