so, in many 4th gen aircraft (like the f-16) there is this radar mode that is like a tgp, but i dont get what is that for, i tried increasing its range, it didnt work, i try to lock targets (like an A-A tgp) it doesnt work, am i missing something, am i dumb or is it just useless?

also the air to ground radar, just dont get it

No A-A TGP function works, strictly A2G targets (if you have one equipped).

A2G radar is pretty much ground mapping radar. but generally at old 1960s resolutions.

i know for anti shipping it will help but you need to pay close attention, as those ship blips are pretty small on the scope
