Hey all,

Well the topic pretty much says the question: is the MiG-25PD WoV compatible, or only SFP-1? I ask because I know that almost every plane runs on either or, but I haven't had any luck running the Foxbat; the game just crashes. I suspect I might be doing something wrong. Basically, I unzip the folder, dropping it into the Objects/Aircraft folder, and put the pilot files in Objects/Aircraft as well, not the Foxbat folder itself. Is there something I missed/screwed up?

Thanks in advance!

It's a question of airfield size. There are no large VPAF airfields modeled in WoV, so one must edit the "MinBaseSize=LARGE" entry in the MiG-25PD_Data.ini to read "MinBaseSize=MEDIUM".

Ah, all right, thanks very much. I changed the data...but won't be able to test it until after classes  oh well.

Thanks again!

It works for me! Thanks guys!

However there are other planes crashing the game as well and the remedy is the same(Badger for example).

My problem concerns the Tu-22. It does not go to hangar until I do this change. After that it starts loading the mission and then crashes the game at ~70% load complete. Why!?

Help!

Thanks again!

I have WOV pack 3 and the latest weapons mod

Do you have the Lod's and such for the aircraft?

TU-22 is from SFP1... you need to copy over the lods and other files you need to fly it.

Another thing is, can you select the mission type? For example; my Tu-16 wouldn't work until I added a primary mission compatible with WoV. ANTI_SHIP was the only listed primary role for the Tu-16 in its DATA.ini file, so I added STRIKE as well, which allows me to fly strike missions with the plane. Formerly, I couldn't get to the hangar screen. After I added STRIKE and made the min base size MEDIUM, I could fly the plane just fine. Idk if this is the case with the Tu-22, but it's something to look into.

Hey, thanks for the answer! Oook... This might be it. However I am new around the stick here so I'm not sure what this LOD is all about. I've seen some LOD's in the tu22.ini file. Are they some files? Should they be somewhere on the hard drive and i should copy them from sfsp1 to WOV? Please give me some insight here as I'm a bit lost :tomato:

Caesar, thanks for the info too! I've made some progress with some added planes whith which i could not select a mission type. However it did not help with the Tu22. I can select now strike. Even before when no mission type was selectable I could hit the Fly! button in the hangar after selecting the payload but loading crashed the game at about 70%. So it's something just before the mission initialization/start.

Well I'm still into this investigation and perhaps with some help I'll manage to brake the sound barrier with Tu22... poetry

Edit: Oh I've forgot to metion: there is no lod in the Tu-22 folder in the objects\aircraft folder; there are some LODs in the MIG25 folder so I might be missing the Tu-22 LODs indeed...
